Focus Total Health, 11-50 employees

4.0

Recommended for low-volume practices. affordable

Pros

It was great for a free EHR. Still pretty good at an affordable monthly cost. They provide limited but neat services. Rarely ever a problem in functions. Their cloud-based EHR is simple to navigate and is very reliable. Very able support staff and they have a large collection of online videos for training or any problem you may need help with.

Cons

PracticeFusion is a decent company in what they provide but they still are way behind on features compared to other competitor providers. They sometimes make changes in the system without taking the client into consideration. Sometimes they give a prior notice other times, they don’t and you just have to adjust with things on your own.

Good but limited functionalities

Pros

We started using it when it was free and have kept on utilizing it in a little research-based practice. Although this may not be a good choice for a proper medical facility EHR but it works just fine for a small low-maintenance setting. Cost is likely the greatest advantage with Practice Fusion. Indeed, even after Allscripts purchased the organization and executed a month to month membership charge, it is still a pretty good deal. It does the fundamentals well as long as you neednt bother with any customization. Extremely simple to set up and begin. considerably instinctive to explore. it integrates well with the labs and imaging companies; patient interaction is also pretty decent. All in all, whatever job it does, it does so well and is easy to use.

Cons

There are many limitations in terms of functionalities and customizability. Charting is okay but working with it takes WORK, is not intuitive or streamlined. Although the interface is not cluttered. In the event that you need any additional items, plan on spending more than the base expense to execute partner items such as updos for faxing reports.

Not recommended

Pros

It is almost funny to admit that the service was relatively better when it free or BECAUSE it was free. Ever since they have started charging for it, it has gotten much worse.

Cons

The system has become harder to use since I started paying for it. The customer service is almost impossible to get a hold of. Again, very strange because they were easily accessible when it was free. They keep you on hold for hours, it is extremely inconvenient. You try reaching them online, they do not even respond there. It has been three days since I asked a question and there has been not a word from them.

Rude and unprofessional customer service

Pros

It seemed promising during its initial free phase.

Cons

Faced unprofessional and inappropriate customer service during a follow-up call after a demo. The salesperson's tardiness lack of apologies and snarky comments about personal matters were unprofessional.

Best On The Market

Pros

As a public safety agency we opted for Practice Fusion due to its HIPAA compliance and widespread use by area hospitals. Despite being an industry standard other aspects of the software were equally commendable.

Cons

The inability to make some required fields 'unrequired' is a significant drawback of Practice Fusion.

Gets worse every month

Pros

The initial appeal was its free nature assisting in building a practice. However when Practice Fusion started charging customer service became subpar and users found themselves paying for a previously free service.

Cons

Practice Fusion lacks competence providing inadequate notice for updates and demonstrating ineffectiveness in MIPS and meaningful use. Missed meetings poor instructions and a lack of responsiveness contribute to a frustrating experience.

Since becoming a paid user the software has become less user-friendly and reaching customer service is nearly impossible.

My experience with Practice Fusion...

Pros

The addition of sticky notes to patient charts brought satisfaction improving communication between departments. Seamless integration with Kareo's Billing Software was a significant benefit.

Cons

The program is somewhat clunky and while improvements have been made there's room for more. The reports function needs enhancement for better information access.

Robust, User-friendly, affordable

Pros

The system is surprisingly simple and easy to implement. It works well with all types of medical practice needs provided you do not require too much customization. I used Practice Fusion software in my previous job, on a daily basis and it was so convenient to use whether it’s documentation, storing records or fetching data. The system is powerful and organized and I am very satisfied with my experience using PF.

Cons

The system works quite smoothly. Rarely ever any glitch. I cannot recall ever having faced any real trouble with it.

No concern for the clients privacy. Unresponsive staff

Pros

The service is user-friendly and quite simple to navigate. They offer free text notifications which are helpful. It was working fine but their sheer lack of care for client privacy cancels out anything good functionalities the system may offer.

Cons

I was completely taken aback by their unresponsiveness when it came to addressing privacy concerns which are a major drawback. Patients discretion is the number one requirement in any medical field and the violation of that is punishable by law but they dont seem to care about that and even though I complained a few times to the support staff, there was no rectification made. They do not respond to complaints or feature requests. You cannot add or form letters in the chart which is bothersome

4.0

Poor customer support for an otherwise decent software

Pros

The workflow is streamlined and saves a lot of time and effort. It allows you to add templates and make changes without too much hassle. The available templates also have some great choices. The OS is very nice, the system accessible from any device.

Cons

Their customer support is as good as non-existent. The take weeks to respond to any support requests or complaints, that is if they respond at all. It seems they have very limited staff to help you with any questions regarding the software. They dont have their own billing module and using a third-party system is a nuisance as they rarely integrate well together.
