“Long Term Office Ally Practice Mate User

Pros

Streamlining daily visits and claims is quick and straightforward with patient visit templates. Accounting and payment entry are fast and not frustrating with easy adjustment and deletion options.

Cons

Manually entering payments can be confusing due to the added steps involved in selecting payment recipients methods etc. The previous version was simpler in this regard although some of my staff prefer the new version.

Pros

Its easy to set up and use. It speaks for itself theres not much more to say. The product sells itself.

Cons

Like with most programs theres a glitch where referral numbers dont update with the month change. However Ive found a workaround for this issue.

Its easy to use and serves my practices needs effectively.

Cons

It would be beneficial to have more color options in the appointment page settings and to categorize appointments based on colors. Additionally providing more information when hovering over appointments with the mouse would improve usability.

The RealTime Claim Status feature is accurate and useful for tracking payments. The billing feature alerts you to missing information allowing for corrections before submission.

Cons

Im not a fan of the new version it lacks the comprehensive RealTime Claim Status feature.

I appreciate that scheduling billing and insurance claim filing are integrated into one program. The Patient Ally portal and electronic forms for patient registration have been valuable additions.

The video appointment feature doesnt work for me and it sends erroneous emails to patients in the middle of the night. I use an alternative service instead.

Once familiar with the software Practice Mate is easy to use with good support and followup.

Obtaining EDIs for some payors including Medicare can be difficult.

Unfortunately, my experience with this EMR has been riddled with issues. The salesperson provided misleading information, promising features that were not included. The implementation classes were rushed, and many essential services were conspicuously absent. Notably, the product lacks basic functionalities such as the ability to use CPT codes, which is an unprecedented and frustrating limitation. Additionally, it does not include EPCS, and even something as fundamental as entering procedure cod
