Before 2020 Practice Mates features were beneficial to my practice. Now with a thirdparty handling insurance verification billing and payments I have more time for patient care.

Cons

Patients often encounter difficulties completing HIPAA Compliant forms through Patient Ally due to a system glitch. Its inconvenient as I have to handle these forms manually.

I find the pricing for the clearinghouse services to be reasonable, considering the functionalities it offers. However, I do feel a bit frustrated about having to pay for a clearinghouse service at all.

The software, while functional, lacks a modern and user-friendly interface. Navigating through the system can be confusing, and the healthcare/insurance terminology used adds to the complexity. Canceling the service and making staff changes are both cumbersome processes.

Terrible. This software is not reliable. Many unresolved problems. Repeated phone calls to customer service, then issued ticket s that are just meant to appease the customer until they can pass the buck to another dept. Office ally seems to care more about the design of the website than fixing the problems that frustrate their users. I would not recommend this software.

It has been nearly 8 years of using this Practice Mate EHR system, and I completely love it. The calendaring is great, and its insurance processing is amazing. It is so easy once you learn it. The insurance claims for my patients and clients are easily done. It is a fantastic system to work on. I would recommend this system to everyone who is looking for great insurance processing and calendaring.

They recently have started to charge some of the insurance companies an extra fee, and I being a small practice am finding it hard to manage it now, so I am actually considering moving all of it to TherapyNotes to submit my insurance claims. The price was reasonable before.
