Office Ally provides a valuable service with Practice Mate being free. Their additional features come at nominal rates and their customer service and training resources are excellent.

Cons

While there are areas for improvement the software is continually being upgraded and refined.

“Great for Single Provider Practice

Pros

For my small mental health practice this software simplifies billing. Entering demographics and billing is straightforward. Most clients have the same procedure and diagnosis each time so I can template my charge entry to automatically fill in these items. Viewing and resubmitting claims is easy and I can create popup notes for certain areas of a patients profile. Additionally I can electronically post EOBs if set up to process the insurances file. The cost is unbeatable.

Cons

Handling Accounts Receivable can be tricky. I cant reverse payments on an account with a negative transaction I must delete them which complicates tracking and auditing. If the system doesnt post the EOB I have to manually search for the patient by reviewing each EOB for that insurance.

“The service is awesome

Pros

They provide a system that makes it very easy to track insurance claims. The calendar shows all outstanding payments and is very easy to read. Their customer service is also amazing and helps us out whenever we need.

It is great for insurance claim management and processing. I have been using it for 8 years and have not had an issue so far.

They changed some things during the last upgrade and we had to get reacquainted.

Overall I believe this is a good EMR and Billing Software. Uploading multiple documents at once is convenient and entering patient visits and claims is straightforward.

Cons

Im not entirely satisfied with the billing aspect of the software. To send corrected claims I have to sign into the Service section which I believe should be manageable within Practice Mate itself.

Pros

Its easy for clinicians to learn and navigate whether scheduling their own clients or coordinating between clinicians and clients.

Cons

Occasionally the system responds slowly to commands and I may need to repeat a process rather than using the back button for a new search.

Although its cheap and Ive been using it for years the expense is growing prompting me to consider switching to a different system. Despite this I find it easy to navigate and use.

Cons

Some features are cumbersome. Autoposting isnt efficient and I wish the visit subsequent claim and EOB were all visible in the patient file. The aging report and collection report are particularly problematic.

There are a lot of useful functions like the billing, scheduling, and accounting modes. We can easily communicate with patients as well.

Cons

There were some bugs in the patient portal but they fixed it.

It is easy to use and you can set up the software with no trouble. I no longer need to hire someone else to sort my billing.

No complaints so far and all the features work as advertised.

It is easily possible to differentiate between OT and St using different colour codes.

It does need some improvement ie make everyday plan appear as only advisors working that day would be visible and permit plan to drag L/R to view the treating specialists for the whole day at once.

I utilize EHR 24/7 together with practice mate. We utilize a charging company, and they yield the claims and follow things through to the conclusion for us. Its a really straightforward handle.

We are still new to the software, but to this point, we havent had any issues. I am energized to urge things to roll.

It is uncomplicated. This software makes billing and coding very easy. It is economical and gives email and phone reminders.

It has a great learning curve so we are still learning its use. I am excited to use it further.

Its been many years since I started to use Practice Mate for billing purposes and It literally keeps track of all my work.

I mainly use this for billing insurance and there is nothing in this software that I dont like. Zero Complaints.

Pros

Using EHR alongside Practice Mate simplifies coding and billing especially with a billing company handling claims submission. Practice Mate allows billing for participating and nonparticipating providers through their system at no cost. Even if more than half of the submitted claims for the month are nonparticipating the additional fee is reasonable at $35 for the month.

Although were new to the system we havent encountered any issues so far and Im eager to see how things progress.

They made a mistake with my billing, claimed I owed 3 x what I did, locked me out of the system, and then there was no one to answer the phone. Unacceptable!

Ive relied on Practice Mate for years finding it effective in tracking everything since I stopped outsourcing my billing.

I dont have any complaints I use this for billing insurance managing patient information and billing patients.

With almost 20 years of experience using the product I find it very userfriendly and easy to navigate. Features like autoposting and claims scrubber are helpful and theres no cost for support staff user accounts.

Cons

While the statement feature is decent the formatting of statements is only somewhat professional with black and white formatting and no lines to separate visits.
