The system is intuitive and adaptable. Praxis offers a personalized experience for your clinic requirements and procedural documentation. It is extremely easy to navigate once learned. Their training staff is amazing and prepares you for any and all possible challenges with the system. Their assisting IT and support staff are of great help throughout your partnership with praxis. The entire system is efficient and gives a real-time experience. Charting takes no more than a minute with the right template. All the data regarding patient appointments, reports, notes, and labs is in on place and easy to access.

Cons

Training the staff to operate the system can be a challenge if they aren’t tech-savvy. In the beginning, it takes a little getting used to. Setting up your own templates and pages takes some effort in the beginning but it all pays off in the long run.

Pros

Documentation is a breeze with Praxis if you set up the right template for your practice. It allows me to get the charting part out of the way without a minute while Im attending the patient, giving me more time to focus on them. I dont have to switch screens repeatedly to access little related details. It is so simple I can easily train the helpful staff to take charge of the documentation for me. The system integrates perfectly with my Financial Management system.

Cons

There have been no problems so far, so I have no complaints.

I've been able to work spontaneously without relying on templates or tight restrictions and the product is incredibly versatile, very stable and their customer support is very cooperative.

Cons

To be honest, I hate doing charting altogether. I find the government-mandated guidelines absurd and I can't believe we as physicians have allowed this so Praxis is a real help.

This system is highly effective and saves a great deal of time, while still letting me document thoroughly as a provider.

We should have switched to it much earlier; it would have definitely spared us a significant amount of time and effort.

Initially I found it complicated and it took me some time to feel comfortable using it.

Lets me document procedures and patient visits using the exact terminology I naturally use in practice which makes charting simple. I also appreciate that I can link directly to evidence-based resources and clinical guidelines whenever I need to reference them during care.

Using this system makes my day-to-day work noticeably easier. It has simplified our office workflow and I find it takes very little effort to use.

I don't have any complaints and it's excellent software from an excellent company. They keep their promises and consistently support me whenever I need help.

“Rapidly creates complex protocols”

Pros

We've been able to use it to rapidly and easily create complex supplement protocols along with precise instructions for each visit. I haven't come across any other software that would allow that. Its integration with Instant Medical History saves every provider multiple hours per week.

Cons

I had only minor error messages and occasional instability when we ran it on our custom, on-premises server and those issues have been nearly eliminated since we migrated everything to the cloud.

“Remembers the way I document”

Pros

I find the software extremely easy to use with a high degree of customization available. I appreciate that it learns the way I document and automatically brings elements of my previous entries into new notes.

Cons

In my experience the database can be fairly demanding on system resources so I've had to verify that every workstation has sufficient RAM and capacity to run it smoothly without slowing down.

“Helps me with my practice”

Pros

I've noticed that Praxis's "Concept Processor" charting engine actually adapts to how I think which lets me document patient encounters with remarkable speed and accuracy in ways that rigid template-based EMRs simply don't allow. It even helps me provide better medical care.

Cons

I can't find anything to complain about with this product. In my experience it stands out as a rare gem amid the otherwise formulaic, template-driven EMR wasteland.

I'm finding the product very convenient and the vendor is wonderful. They're always available whenever I need help.

Cons

We don't really have any complaints and we like how it works. The only time we run into trouble is when our internet is down. Otherwise, the software works great.

“Smarter charting”

Pros

It's almost uncanny how this system seems to keep getting better over time. It works the way my mind works and helps me keep track of all the little details I often do not have time to remember on my own. This EMR feels intelligent and is genuinely enjoyable to use. I had been looking at it for years and I'm really glad I finally ended up using it.

Cons

By a wide margin, this is the best EHR I've worked with and I've used two other systems before this. I would absolutely recommend giving it a try. My only frustration is not really with the software itself but with the government forcing everyone to use EMRs which I think is ridiculous. Even so, I use it because it lets me chart quickly and efficiently and makes my day much easier. Instead of getting home at 7,30 in the evening, I'm usually home by 5,30.

“Time-saving tool”

Pros

Documenting notes in this software is one of its biggest strengths. Instead of forcing you into a template, it uses the previous note for a specific diagnosis as the starting point for the next one with that same diagnosis. That setup makes charting much faster and more convenient especially since most diagnoses tend to be recurring rather than brand new.

Cons

One downside is that technical support is only available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. If something goes wrong over the weekend, there is really no choice but to wait until Monday to get it resolved.

“Custom visit support”

Pros

After using this product for several years, I can say the support team has been consistently quick and effective whenever any issue came up, whether it was on our side or theirs. I've also been able to build my own visit templates exactly the way I want. Adding detailed information, questions or treatments takes just a few keystrokes which makes the system very flexible. It really feels like the only limit is the doctor's imagination.

Cons

One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want someone local to handle the basic IT setup. Once that part is done, the product is very simple to work with but I wouldn't expect the company to send out a team to take care of the hardware installation itself. That seems to be a common issue with smaller vendors and even some of the bigger ones.
