Praxis puts you on the steering. Templates are very easy to play with since Praxis uses Concept Processor in place of heavy template formats which allows me to design it exactly the way I want with all the needful components. After you go through the learning curve, it is pretty simple to work with. The system has kept up with changing CMS guidelines and for end clients that make it simple to meet the quality estimates required by insurance agencies.

Cons

Before Praxis, I used different EMRs in the clinics and observe them be somewhat constrained in perspective on their layout format which compels you to follow another persons point of view in rounding out the templates. You end up investing a great deal of energy composing free content each time you need to record your own precise thoughts. I am really satisfied with Praxis way of working.

Their training staff is amazing and prepares you for any and all possible challenges with the system. Their assisting IT and support staff are of great help throughout your partnership with praxis. The entire system is efficient and gives a real-time experience. Charting takes no more than a minute with the right template. All the data regarding patient appointments, reports, notes, and labs is in on place and easy to access.

Cons

Training the staff to operate the system can be a challenge if they aren’t tech-savvy. In the beginning, it takes a little getting used to. Setting up your own templates and pages takes some effort in the beginning but it all pays off in the long run.

Documentation is a breeze with Praxis if you set up the right template for your practice. It allows me to get the charting part out of the way without a minute while Im attending the patient, giving me more time to focus on them. I dont have to switch screens repeatedly to access little related details. It is so simple I can easily train the helpful staff to take charge of the documentation for me. The system integrates perfectly with my Financial Management system.

I've been able to work spontaneously without relying on templates or tight restrictions and the product is incredibly versatile, very stable and their customer support is very cooperative.

To be honest, I hate doing charting altogether. I find the government-mandated guidelines absurd and I can't believe we as physicians have allowed this so Praxis is a real help.
