Not bad software, but administratively appears unorganized

Our experience with the company is that administratively, it appeared very unorganized, mostly from their finance team. Our invoices were sometimes incorrect. Also, as I was onboarding, my largest client, they failed to let me know that they had previously made the business decision to discontinue some software features for that medical specialty. I didn't find out until I completed the transfer process. We then had to transfer again to a new software provider. It was very chaotic and put my small company in hardship.

It is extremely user-friendly and has all the features we need. Also, it has strong security with encryption, checks to ensure everything is working well, and detailed reporting tools.

Why I chose Raintree?

Pros

I have been using Raintree for over 10 years. I selected Raintree because of its flexibility as I work with multiple systems and sources for report writing. Raintree allowed us to create custom templates which simplified the assessment process for our practice.

Cons

Sometimes, I do not receive a response on a case for over a week. I have to reach out to support for updates and they often need to escalate the issue to the engineers.

Impressive, yet some improvements needed

Pros

I really like the quick find feature. Also, the system lets me enter both organized and unorganized data, and it works with several languages.

Cons

My least favorite aspect is managing schedules and having to update existing information under provider pay details. It would be more practical and useful for tracking, to add a new payment rate whenever a provider's rates change, with dates available to verify against our records.

Easy for novice users

Pros

Rain Tree is excellent for entering insurance information, and I find it very easy to learn. The scheduling feature is easy, and I love that all patient information is displayed at the bottom of the page, which means I do not have to open each chart to see everything I need. I also enjoy the option that lets me use different colors for various insurances, as it is very helpful for me.

Cons

I do not like that it does not notify me if a patient is already in the system. It should alert us if there is a patient with the same birthday so we can determine if it's the same person. Additionally, I wish it would only show my patients when I am trying to schedule someone, instead of displaying all patients in the corporation.

No more manual KPI tracking

Pros

I am really impressed with the reporting fucntions Raintree offers. Before switching, we had to calculate many of our KPIs manually. Now, it runs automatically and saves us a lot of time. I also love all the features available on Connect and what it can do.

Cons

One thing I like least is the part that it sometimes takes a long time to get assistance with cases. I did prefer a faster process. I also dislike that we cannot email our light records to try to reconnect with those who didn't become patients.

Best Part: Documents available in electronic format

Pros

From my office's perspective, the most helpful feature is having documents in electronic format. Creating visit limits and reminders helps me keep operations running smoothly. Although it requires some adjustment and memorizing various shortcut keys, I find that the system is overall easy to use.

Cons

I find it frustrating that when I am sending medical records via fax, pressing F10 to complete an action on the fax page closes the window instead of sending the fax, forcing me to re-enter all the information.

Pros

If I am part of a young, non-specialty clinical setup where the staff is more focused on patient care than on technology, I recommend Raintree as a good option to consider. It is a system that we use every day, and it is also more affordable compared to some of the well-known software used by larger hospitals.

Cons

I think customer support could be more professional, (maybe by hiring more US-based representatives?). Sometimes, I need quick help with simple troubleshooting, and looking through the online manuals can be really tiring.

The only reliable EMR!

Pros

As a rehabilitation center located in downtown Greensboro that works with patients facing various spectrum disorders, including serious substance abuse issues, we required an EMR system that fit our daily workflow. None of us have the time to manage manual data entries on spreadsheets. After testing several different software applications, we decided to go with Raintree. I find the system to be user-friendly and budget-friendly.

Cons

They could try adding a few more advanced charting features to the program. For example, a lot of rehab clinics like ours require KIOSK card payment options – something that’s missing at present (would be nice to have).

I find this software to be good. However, I wish there were more built-in alerts to flag when a chart lacks crucial information upon creating an EMR for a patient.

Cons

Great features that save us time!

Pros

I am impressed by Raintree's timesaving features designed to make documentation quicker and easier for therapists. While it might take a little time to get accustomed to the platform, It is user-friendly also includes useful features, such as the ability to save frequently used evaluation templates for goals and commonly used phrases.

Cons

I find the system challenging to understand, especially as a therapist who is not very familiar with technology. There are multiple steps and windows to navigate, which can sometimes feel unnecessary. However, upper management appreciates the integrated billing system, even with its complexity.

I love that it covers virtually everything needed for note-taking, evaluations, and billing. It's highly specific, ensuring nothing is overlooked when writing notes or signing off.

Cons

The note-taking process requires too many clicks and confirmation prompts, especially when I save. It is frustrating that billing codes do not automatically save from week to week, so I have to edit them manually each time.
