“Poor system
Pros
While the software may be poor in quality, it remains consistently reliable in its performance.
Cons
The OTP system causes errors every 2-3 months. Customer support rarely provides insight into the problem, offering only general answers. Also, no one answers the phone after 5 p.m. Central time. To prescribe a narcotic like pregabalin, I have to go through five steps: 1) log in with username and password, 2) complete 2FA with my registered email, 3) enter a "prescription" password, 4) enter a "narcotic" password, and 5) use a separate OTP-2FA system of their choosing. All of these steps are necessary for a simple task, and each step takes about 0.5-1 second due to server delays. This doesn't even account for the other clicks needed to "refill a medication," each of which adds its own delay.

“No customer support provided
Pros
I thought the idea of an app for sending scripts was promising, but unfortunately, it hasn't provided reliable functionality.
Cons
This app often fails to recognize my password, and unfortunately, customer service is not prompt. Given the amount of money I've invested, the product should either be more reliable or have a truly dependable and timely customer support team. If you're in healthcare and need a reliable prescription method, I would suggest looking for alternatives.

“Extremely disappointing experience
Pros
I have to say, my experience with it was a complete nightmare. Getting started was incredibly challenging and when issues arose, it felt like I was trapped in a maze of obstacles with no clear solution. Thanks for absolutely nothing!
Cons
Customer support is severely lacking. I submitted a ticket but there was no call. They responded via email, but it took four days to receive a message asking for the best time to call. How about responding when you receive the message?

“Customer service no longer exists
Pros
The onboarding process was acceptable 6 years ago. They were attentive to my needs. However the current state of onboarding is absolutely terrible.
Cons
I have been a customer of this company for a while and they used to provide good service. However, it seems that their phone based customer service no longer exists. Virtual assistants are rude and incapable of assisting or connecting you with a supervisor or manager. I'm currently on hold for one hour and fifteen minutes. The email option only acknowledges receipt without any further action. I'm unable to send any scripts today, and I'll invest my time in finding a new company. They claim they don't have my updated email information, but the fully paid invoice contains all the necessary details. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle steer clear!

“Too unreliable to recommend
Pros
It works occasionally but I cannot recommend it to anyone due to its inconsistent performance.
Cons
Customer service is almost nonexistent. I made several calls, and the minimum hold time was an hour, yet I still haven't been able to speak to anyone. Email support is equally slow, often taking hours to respond, and their answers have been unhelpful and didn't solve my issue. It's extremely frustrating, especially when I rely on their service to prescribe medications to my patients.

“Reliable and secure prescriptions
Pros
The ability to securely send prescriptions is crucial for our organization. With EPCS's multi-factor authentication, we can safely transmit controlled substances. Pharmacies receive prescriptions in real time, ensuring that scripts are in their system before the patient even leaves the session.
Cons
I find the user interface a bit cluttered, with the landing page displaying a lot of information at once.

“Hands down, the worst software I've used
Pros
This software meets the requirement for electronic prescribing.
Cons
Everything about this software has been a disaster for me. It frequently malfunctions, and the support is terrible. When they do assist, it takes up to four hours to resolve the issue. I consistently encounter errors, and honestly, I cannot emphasize enough how awful this software and company are. I would advise avoiding them at all costs!

“Best practice in the industry
Pros
It is user-friendly for both prescribing and checking the controlled substance database.
Cons
The software fulfills its intended purpose. My next suggestion would be to integrate the ability to check controlled medication databases from neighboring states, which is essential in my practice.

“A solution for IT, not for doctors
Pros
The burden on our clinical staff has been lifted. Now, I am able to handle prior authorizations at the time the prescription is written, which significantly streamlines the process.
Cons
Clinical staff do not have access to unmatched prescription renewals, and all medications are listed in lowercase. It's also impossible for me to organize medications by category, alphabetical sorting is the only option available.

“Disastrous customer Support & unreliable performance
Pros
It offers a relatively affordable price point, but it is important to be cautious, as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for."
Cons
This software is very much unreliable. We've been without service for three days.

“A must-have for my practice
Pros
This is a very flexible product for me. It remembers and retains all the previous gigs, which helps with a fast workflow. It has been an essential tool for my practice for the past 9 years!
Cons
A few functions that haven't been upgraded create constant roadblocks. Their team really needs to work on updating these features.

“Best e-prescription software
Pros
The manual prescription process used to be too hectic. This software has enabled me and my team to quickly handle prescriptions with auto refills and zero errors. Since it's web-based, it's highly accessible, even from the mobile app. It's been a great experience.
Cons
It is a good product, but the price is a bit high, and it doesn't include the new patient portal in the same package.

“Quick and simple to use
Pros
When it comes to sending prescriptions, I find it very easy to use.
Cons
Sometimes, prescriptions fail to submit to the pharmacy even after I enter the password. Instead, they end up in the prescription report tab, requiring me to enter the password again for resubmission. Patients often call the pharmacy, only to be told that they haven't received the prescription, despite Rcopia showing the time of delivery. This happens frequently, which makes me believe it's more of an issue with the program than with individual pharmacies.

“Complete zccess for effective support
Pros
As an administrative user, I like having access to all patient and pharmacy information necessary to support our physicians. The detailed information is valuable, allowing me to track not only sent prescriptions but also pending ones that may have been written but not yet signed.
Cons
The prior authorization system lacks consistency. I am not sure if it's a software issue or if only certain pharmacies and insurance providers are contracted for this service. It would be ideal to handle all prior authorizations within one system.

Pros
I find the price reasonable, and overall, the software is easy to use. It is also compatible with the majority of EMR systems.

“Horrible customer support
Pros
It is a good e prescribing system as long as I don't require support.
Cons
I have been working with this company since its inception. In the beginning, they were amazing and helped us overcome any issues we faced. However, things have changed. Now, they don’t respond to tickets, fail to follow up on them, and are incapable of fixing problems with their reporting systems. Don’t expect to meet meaningful use while using this software because it's all a lie. They even have a scam where they charge a hefty fee to guarantee meaningful use, but we spent over a year trying to fix one report and missed meaningful use for two providers due to their system. Currently, their customer service is the worst among all the major companies I deal with. Their tech support hires individuals who know less about the system than I do. I can’t wait to distance ourselves from this company, as they're tarnishing the reputation of electronic prescribing in general. When I ask for a supervisor, they eventually hang up on me. Customer support never has an available supervisor, and despite promises of a callback, they never follow through in any way.

“Slow, Inefficient, and time-consuming
Pros
Unfortunately, many pharmacies have not fully embraced eRx, making the process inefficient. I frequently receive calls from patients who are experiencing issues where pharmacies claim they have not received the eRx, even though they are listed as accepting eRx in the Surescripts database provided to the software. This leads to patients waiting at pharmacies for medications that haven’t been prepared, and our office ends up duplicating work done during the patient's visit. Paper prescribing turns out to be more reliable and efficient. Even electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS) is highly unreliable. It essentially functions as a secure email service, but the emails often fail to arrive!
Cons
Tech support doesn't offer much help when it comes to dealing with the structural issues related to pharmacies' limited participation. I've had my share of frustrations with this, and unfortunately, their support hasn't been able to address the issues in a meaningful way.
