Pros

The charting templates are a favorite feature of mine as they provide valuable insights into the diversity of my patients.

End User RXNT

Pros

The simplicity of use and the variety of pharmacies available are major advantages.

Cons

There is no option to choose "delivery," so I still have to call the pharmacy and request delivery after entering meds into RXNT.

Everything i need

Pros

What helps most are the easy-to-use patient templates and how simple prescribing is with a hard or soft token.

Cons

We don't feel RXNT is missing any features we needed.

cluttered, demanding, limited

Pros

Sending e-prescriptions through the RXNT app is easy for me.

Cons

Getting patients into the portal is a long, multi-step ordeal and emails often land in junk folders. The layout feels cluttered and isn't user-friendly for the fast daily task of pulling up notes and e-prescribing on a desktop. It basically demands a big monitor and Chrome which is annoying if charting on a laptop with another browser. The app only lets you see appointments and e-prescribe, there's no option to chart from it.

a useful tool with a learning curve

Pros

We like the e-prescribing tool in it. It lets our nurses set up medications so family members can pick them up at local pharmacies.

Cons

Staff nurses have reported that It can be difficult to get started with but we believe this is partly due to insufficient regular use.

Sluggish platform, wasted precious time

Pros

Cost. Nothing else to praise since time equals money.

Cons

Slow and constantly changing platform that after each update performs worse, with frequent crashes or freezes, noticeable lag between pages, and degradation year after year. Problems aren't fixed which means more time spent on admin and less on actual productive work. It just adds another layer to the tangled insurance processes that limit access to services, delay reimbursements, and so on. Clinical time is split between direct patient care and administrative records. The more minutes spent on paperwork per patient, the less time remains for productive care and the lower the overall output. Technology should improve efficiency and let us do more in less time. It does the opposite; honestly, wouldn't be surprised if an insurance company had a hand in it.

simple, painless, pleasingly designed

Pros

As a therapist I use it mainly for progress notes, it's incredibly easy. The duplicate option and simple edit tools make fixing errors painless because nobody's perfect. The layout of the saved note is pleasing as well. Like I said it's simple without feeling cheap or basic!

Cons

There aren't any problems I can report about RXNT.

Great until unfair auto-renewal charge

Pros

Overall app runs smoothly.. occasional bugs.... yet nothing serious.

Cons

After using the software for more than a year and getting a lot of value from it, there was a change in my practice so it wasn't needed anymore. Unfortunately I forgot the subscription automatically renews. When told it had renewed I reached out to the company straight away and was basically told tough luck and they don't do refunds. I ended up being charged over $700 for something I wasn't using and didn't plan to. Support offered no help. Felt dishonest and unfair.

simple prescriptions function

Pros

RXNT's prescription screen is very simple, you can quickly enter or remove patient details and pull up past medications.

Cons

The allergy section could use a refresh. Several listed allergies are outdated and there's no option to type in a custom allergy.

quick but incomplete drug database

Pros

It is simple to use. Information about medications is quick to locate.

Cons

It doesn't include every drug in its database. Formularies and compounded drugs should be included. Concentrated formulations need to be added to the database.

Flexible e-prescribing and freeform notes

Pros

I can e-prescribe easily now. The tool lets you write freeform notes without templates.

Cons

When an encounter is printed out the text is way too small to read comfortably on paper. It would also be really useful to choose exactly what to print to hand to the patient, for example only the assessment and plan rather than the full note. It would also help if you could move more smoothly from one encounter to another for the same patient when reviewing their prior appointments.

High hidden fees

Pros

When i started, the cost was lower than others. As someone fairly new in private practice, I didn't realize what I'd be missing.

Cons

They tack on fees for pretty much everything, appointment reminders, fax hookups even lab links. Getting anything done takes way too many clicks and wastes time. Only a small number of patients can actually access the portal which has cost the practice clients. Support is lacking. A custom form request that seemed promising fell flat. Detailed templates were provided using their samples to simplify things but the result didn't match expectations and was riddled with mistakes. Honestly it was embarrassing.

trapped in a terrible contract

Pros

Only e-prescribing for medications. That's really it.

Cons

They sneak you into a one-year agreement without mentioning it upfront, you only learn when trying to cancel. Their EMR is awful, outdated, not user-friendly and you can't customize anything. When you reach out they say it will take weeks; I waited eight weeks and my template still wasn't created. I emailed to cancel and was told I'm stuck in a contract. It couldn't support my family practice. My advice: find another vendor. Don't be fooled by the 4.3 reviews; that's the mistake I made.
