“Complete back-end support”
Pros
Running a small practice feels much more manageable with this software because it gives me complete back-end support without needing to hire an extra staff member.
Cons
It would be even better if Stripe could be customized on an individual basis.

“Automation that saves hours”
Pros
It has already cut down a lot of my administrative time thanks to its automation tools. Invoices and superbills are created and sent out automatically which has been a huge time saver. I'm still new to the platform but I'm planning to use the Enrollment Reports as well so insurance copays and coinsurance can be generated automatically and charged to clients through the Stripe integration which should save even more time.
Cons
The built-in explanations throughout the software are very helpful when you're learning the system but I do wish there were a way to hide or remove that extra text once I understand it so the workspace could feel cleaner and more organized.

“full range of features”
Pros
The telehealth setup is really simple to use and I also love the full range of features you offer.
Cons
I'd really want for telehealth to notify me when someone is sitting in the waiting room. That would make my work a lot easier.

“Helpful mobile app and web access”
Pros
mobile app has been really useful and the fact that the program runs through a web-based service makes it very convenient to use.
Cons
I do wish it included Wiley treatment planning and voice dictation for notes. It's also frustrating that I can't use my own note drafts on my mobile device.

“complex navigation and confusing setup”
Pros
At this point, I'm still trying to figure out what really works well here. One thing I do appreciate is the secure client portal and being able to exchange information back and forth with clients. I genuinely want this platform to work for my practice and my clients. I'm hoping that with more time and learning, I'll eventually get comfortable with it, especially since I'd consider myself pretty capable with computers. Right now though, it has felt complex and awkward to navigate.
Cons
From the start, it's been hard to tell where things are or what I'm supposed to do in certain sections. There are several areas where the prompts or instructions just don't make sense to me. Even getting support feels impersonal and frustrating. The whole experience reminds me of being stuck in a giant digital library where every path leads to another dead end and more confusion. For example, I was able to upload a PDF and even send a test version to myself but I couldn't actually download and open it unless I used some kind of mobile boost feature. That kind of complication makes me very hesitant to roll this out to clients when I'm still struggling to understand the process myself.

“organized intake process”
Pros
The intake process feels much more organized with this software which has been a huge plus. I also added the Telemental Health option and I'm really looking forward to using it.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. The few times I've run into trouble, it's mostly been due to my own user error.

“Paperless records that work”
Pros
Entering information is very simple and uploading outside documents makes it simple to keep complete files together without needing any paper records.
Cons
demographic details from the patient profile, when the patient is a minor, do not automatically carry over to the parent or guardian.

“The features I needed”
Pros
Running my small private practice has been much more convenient with it. It has exactly the features I was hoping for in a system like this and the platform feels simple and user-friendly without being limited. The support team has also been fantastic, they respond quickly and answer my questions thoroughly whenever I need help. Getting set up was simple too, thanks to the trainings and online videos. For me, this has been the right EHR choice.
Cons
At this point, I'm satisfied with all of the features and don't have any complaints.

“support team provided helpful guidance”
Pros
Getting started with it felt very simple and the support team provided helpful guidance throughout the learning process. Features such as email and text reminders, automatically generated superbills and autopay billing have been especially useful.
Cons
There is a lack of flexibility when modifying consent documents. For example, it does not currently allow optional consent forms to be created.

“Helpful how-to videos”
Pros
The calendar reminders, online scheduling, teletherapy, ready-made documents and how-to videos have all been really helpful to have in one place.
Cons
I'm still pretty new to the platform and I've run into a few spots where I got stuck while trying to use some of the features.

“Helped us go paperless”
Pros
Built-in forms, notes, scheduling and invoicing keep everything in one place. Going paperless makes the whole process feel more organized and the practice comes across as very professional.
Cons
it doesn't let you add more than one note and overall it could use more flexibility.

“Good value for price”
Pros
The pricing feels reasonable for what's included. It comes with useful features like online scheduling, a client portal, appointment reminders, billing and payment tracking so the overall value is pretty solid.
Cons
A big frustration is that only one professional can use a client's email address. If another provider inside or outside the practice also uses Luminello and shares that client, the same email can't be reused so the client has to provide a different address. That means they often can't use their preferred email which can be off-putting. The same issue comes up within the practice too, if one provider sees a client first and later refers them to another provider, the second provider still can't use the same email to create the client's account. This problem shows up a lot with siblings in a child-focused practice. If I'm seeing one child and another therapist is seeing the other, only one of us can invite the parents to the portal and the parents can only view information for one child. It also creates problems when working with children of divorced parents because the system only allows one email per client so only one parent can be invited to the portal. On top of that, the platform feels slow and complex. Pages take time to refresh and some tasks seem to involve extra steps that don't really need to be there. It also really seems built only for solo practices so if you plan to grow into a group practice, I wouldn't recommend starting with Luminello unless you're prepared to switch systems and move all your data later.

“Top EHR”
Pros
After working with other EHR platforms, it still stands out as the best one I've used. The system feels incredibly comprehensive and I really appreciate having the client portal built in along with customizable consent forms. The morning and evening emails are also a big plus since they remind me about upcoming appointments and give me a helpful daily overview. Overall, it has been excellent.
Cons
My only real complaint is with the note templates. I wish they were customizable because I'd prefer to use GIRP notes. I'd also like to use the standard progress note in a way that matches the treatment plan but right now it only lets me document progress for two objectives.

“Fast notes and helpful support”
Pros
Adding clients, appointments, payments, notes and the rest has been really simple. The note-taking part works especially well and I'm able to finish my documentation quickly every evening before I leave for the day.
Cons
I'm still figuring out how to share the calendar so clients can book their own sessions. Since I'm just finishing up the 30-day trial, there are still a few things I'm learning. That said, they offer tutorials for just about everything and the customer service has been excellent so I know help is there whenever I need it.

“widely used”
Pros
It is easy to manage and since a lot of my colleagues already use it, there are plenty of people I can turn to when I have questions.
Cons
It doesn't include a therapist signature feature and the forms are built around California law so I still had to sort out the requirements for my own state.

Pros
It's been wonderful being able to offer my patients what they need directly through my website.
Cons
the lack of customization is a downside and that shows up in several different ways.
