clean interface and solid value

Pros

Getting started with Noterro was simple. The interface looks clean, it includes plenty of features and the pricing feels very reasonable compared with other similar programs.

Cons

Some of the templates feel a bit limited in terms of customization and there should be more color options available for services.

fantastic patient portal and billing

Pros

The patient portal has been one of my favorite parts of using Noterro. It makes selectively sharing notes simple and patients having the option to pay online is a huge plus. Scheduling appointments, collecting payments, sending invoices and using the charting features all feel very simple and convenient.

Cons

Something that could be better is the way forms and charts are viewed. They're accessible enough but it can be frustrating when it's hard to look at more than one at the same time.

Online booking that keeps us moving

Pros

One of the biggest benefits is that patients can book their appointments online which saves a lot of back-and-forth. It also helps the admin team quickly find open time slots for patients who call in. Another plus is that therapists can check their schedules from home which makes planning and staying organized much more convenient.

Cons

The downside is that it feels like almost every feature comes with an extra charge. We also end up paying for standard features we do not even use which is frustrating. Some kind of tradeoff or more flexible pricing would be appreciated. It would also be helpful to set a future start date for a new therapist instead of being charged the day they are added. From a business standpoint, being able to book patients for a new hire before their actual start date is a real advantage.

Pros

It covers exactly what I need for clinical notes and scheduling and it does both really well.

Cons

I'd still like to see the option for clients to confirm appointments directly from the text reminder, instead of only through the email reminder.

Whenever I have questions, Nick is there to help and it's clear Noterro is consistently working on improving the software.

responsive support and safer booking

Pros

Right from the beginning, Noterro's customer support has been the standout for me. They set up a one-on-one online appointment during onboarding which made getting started much more comfortable. Since then, every question I've had has been answered quickly and thoroughly. Another feature I really appreciate is being able to keep online booking limited to clients I've approved or agreed to work with. A lot of booking systems don't offer that level of control and it really helps prevent harassment or inappropriate appointments.

Cons

I'd still love to have a way to see directly on the calendar whether an invoice has been paid or not.

Effortless practice management

Pros

Running my practice has felt effortless with Noterro and the customer support has been fantastic.

Cons

There should be an option to disable the automatic client notifications that get sent out. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with Noterro!

promising start with custom forms

Pros

I'm still early in the trial so it's a bit soon to give a full opinion. Once I get the hang of the financial reports and learn how to build my own intake form, I'll have a better sense of everything.

Cons

Since I'm still new to the trial, I'm figuring things out as I go. The one part I haven't been able to work out yet is how to create an intake form without struggling a bit.

clients love online booking

Pros

Having online appointment booking has been a huge plus because my clients can schedule whenever it works for them and that gives me more time to focus on other parts of running my business. The SOAP note features are very thorough so I can finish my charting quickly, accurately and completely. It's also really convenient to keep all of my client information in one place and pulling reports to monitor my business growth is simple.

Cons

Getting everything set up at the beginning felt a little overwhelming. Since I'm not especially tech-savvy, I needed some help from a colleague who also uses Noterro and is more comfortable with technology than I am. After that initial setup though, the system became quite simple to use.

flexible scheduling and responsive support

Pros

Getting started with Noterro was very simple, whether using it on my own or following along with their YouTube channel. There are videos covering just about every feature so whenever something isn't clear, it's usually easy to find guidance. Customer support has also been very quick to respond and any issues that come up after updates tend to be fixed fast. I really appreciate being able to click and drag appointments to reschedule them and it's nice to see the software is still actively being developed with new and requested features being added.

Cons

I'd really like to see pinch-to-zoom on the calendar in the Android app so I could view more at once. That would make booking appointments on mobile much more convenient when I'm out and need to make changes quickly especially since taking payments through Square can only be done on mobile.

Handy scheduling features

Pros

Scheduling has been very convenient to use. I'm also wondering whether this product offers the same kind of functionality as Company On, where users in Alberta can use it even without the Privacy Impact Assessment.

Cons

It's missing color-coded time blocking like EMRs or Jane have and that really helps when you need to scan a packed schedule quickly during a busy day.

pricing clarity and professional app

Pros

Right away, this product feels very simple to use. Being able to bill one service differently under separate services makes things so much simpler compared with other platforms. I also really appreciate that during booking, when someone checks out, the full price is shown including tax so patients and clients are never left wondering what the final total will be. Sending invoices is also very simple without having to keep clicking all over the place like in other applications. Another big plus is having your own app included with the software which makes the business look more professional and legitimate and a lot of my colleagues have been impressed by that too.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the ability to highlight soap notes and have more formatting options, such as changing fonts, using bold and italic.

helpful onboarding and support

Pros

Getting my existing client list moved into Noterro was handled quickly and the support I received was prompt and genuinely helpful. The whole transition happened without any issues which was awesome.

Cons

Nothing to complain about at this point. The only thing I can think of is adding a way to blur current client details on the calendar so I can show clients what time slots are open.

helpful scheduling and forms

Pros

Having clinic forms, uploaded paperwork, online scheduling and cancellation policies that let us charge for no-shows has been really useful for running the practice.

Cons

Customer support feels limited. I'd rather be able to call and reach a rep right away but setting up time to speak with someone through the online app usually takes about a week.
