affordable and feature-packed

Pros

I switched to Noterro mainly because it was far more affordable than the software I had been using before. Even though it doesn't include a few things I would have preferred, like patient chat and customizable SOAP notes, the savings made it worthwhile. Setup was simple and it offers a solid range of features for the price.

Cons

The dashboard because it feels pretty pointless. It includes a section for open membership invoices but there's nothing similar for regular unpaid invoices. It also shows which forms are still incomplete but once a patient submits a form, it vanishes from the dashboard entirely. Unless email notifications are turned on, there's no clear way to know which completed forms still need to be reviewed.

Fantastic booking and charting tools

Pros

Connecting with TELUS Health keeps things efficient and the platform is incredibly user-friendly for practitioners, admins and clients booking online or making appointment changes. The charting feels very polished and professional and it's clear the team is constantly adding updates and new services that match what practitioners actually need.

Cons

something that would make it even better is a more organized family account setup so parents, children and siblings can be managed together more easily.

reliable fit for our clinic

Pros

Our whole team uses it every day and the admin forms are simple to find and put into use. I've been using this software for a long time because it continues to cover all of my business needs.

Cons

helpful support and simple setup

Pros

Their customer service team has been incredibly helpful and quick to respond whenever I needed assistance. I also really appreciated the phone walkthrough during setup before launching the system live.

Cons

I'd still like to see the option to disable features that don't apply to my business, just to make the system feel a bit cleaner. This is especially true in the templates and forms section, where it would be helpful to remove the ones I know I'll never use.

affordable all-in-one scheduling

Pros

Having scheduling, notes and appointment reminders all built into one program has been really helpful especially at a price that feels affordable. On top of that, customer service is consistently quick whenever I reach out with questions.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is a better way to track how many appointments get canceled. I've been told it's planned for a future update but there's no timeline yet for when that will happen.

Digital paperwork and flexible booking

Pros

Booking appointments and managing my schedule has been really convenient. My clients also enjoy the online booking feature especially the newer online booking app. One of the biggest benefits for me is having all my paperwork stored digitally instead of dealing with paper forms.

Cons

The online booking setup could be a bit more simple. For instance, if appointments are meant to be scheduled every 90 minutes someone can still book a 30-minute appointment with a 30-minute break which ends up creating a 1-hour gap. I'd love to see that adjust automatically so bookings can stay back to back and avoid unnecessary gaps in my day.

better pricing and constant upgrades

Pros

Right from the start, Noterro stood out because the pricing structure was much better than what we were seeing from competitors. We've also really appreciated the consistent upgrades and their customer support team has been fantastic to work with.

Cons

There are only a few minor bugs here and there. Sometimes when I merge profiles, it logs me out and I have to sign back in although the process is still fairly smooth overall. When setting up staff schedules, I do wish there were a way to simply click the days and times and have them repeat weekly, instead of going through Monday for X weeks, Tuesday for X weeks and so on. It could definitely be a bit more organized but it's still a wonderful system.

SOAP notes and reminders shine

Pros

One of the best parts of Noterro is how simple the SOAP notes are to work with especially being able to copy a note and adjust it as needed. The scheduling tools are also fantastic and the reminders it sends to clients have made a real difference. Since I started using Noterro, my cancellations have dropped significantly.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about Noterro. It's an excellent platform.

patient forms with drawing tools

Pros

Being able to draw directly on the patient forms is what really sold me on this software. That feature has been the biggest advantage for me.

fantastic scheduling and reminders

Pros

Scheduling, quick note-taking, reminders and online booking.. especially with Square integrations.. are the things I enjoy most about Noterro.

Cons

toughest part has simply been adjusting to a new system. I wouldn't really consider it a downside though since we're still in the process of getting comfortable with it.

all-in-one booking bliss

Pros

Everything about this program has worked really well for me. The best part is how fully integrated it is.. booking, files, billing, reminders, it's all in one place :)

Cons

only thing I'd still like to have is the option to set specific appointment times for people to book, rather than only using a general booking window.

Booking freedom and better updates

Pros

Having an app where clients can book appointments and manage things on their own gives them a lot more freedom to schedule whenever it works best for them. On the admin side, the system handles everything really well and taking notes and keeping track of them is simple.

Cons

There isn't much I dislike. They're always updating the software and rolling out new features which keeps making the platform even better.

Pros

Noterro has been affordable, PIPEDA-compliant and very simple to pick up. The platform feels user-friendly overall and didn't take much time to learn.

Cons

I'm not a fan of having to pay to keep insurance information now especially since that used to be included for free.

responsive support and helpful videos

Pros

Whenever a question comes up, we usually get a response almost right away. The YouTube videos covering the different parts of the system have also been really helpful.

Cons

There have been a couple of reports we wanted that weren't available but they're always willing to work with us and figure out how to get the information we need.

Clean layout

Pros

Right from the start, the layout felt clean and well organized so it was simple to locate the features I needed. The help files were also really useful and made learning the software much more simple.

Cons

I'd still love to have more flexibility when creating my own charting and intake form templates. It would also be helpful to have built-in email functionality so I could send individual welcome or follow-up letters to clients and keep those messages saved in their chart.

amazing support and flexibility

Pros

They walk you through any issues and respond quickly whenever help is needed. After the setup is done, the system is quite simple to use and can be adjusted to fit your needs. It's also nice to see that they're always making improvements. Adding another location was possible without any extra purchase or complicated setup which was a big plus.

Cons

One downside is that there's no option for gift certificates or sharing between family members which creates extra steps to keep everything balanced. The reporting was also tough to work with at first although it has improved over time.

Missing basic scheduling printouts

Pros

The pricing is low, there's no setup fee and it can be canceled whenever needed.

Cons

We only needed this software for patient scheduling and a basic requirement for us was being able to print a daily paper schedule in spreadsheet format with exam time, exam type, patient name, date of birth, phone number, insurance company, insurance ID, whether the appointment was confirmed, the initials of the staff member who booked it and notes. After checking with Noterro support, we were told the only way to get something like that was to export it into Excel which really isn't practical or cram all of that information into the notes section. That's what we're doing temporarily until we switch to another system that can actually handle this basic scheduling function. At least canceling Noterro should be simple which is all that makes it acceptable for the next few months.
