Highly customizable

Pros

From day one, Noterro has felt very user-friendly for both the admin side and for clients as well. The pricing is reasonable and the level of customization it offers is a big plus.

Cons

One frustration has been with tech support since they don't always seem to read requests all the way through before responding.

Its alright, good for simple repetitive treatments but needs serious improvement.

Pros

We need to improve the booking systems email notifications and receipts as they are currently only functioning intermittently.

Cons

The Output Language Code in use lacks important features such as charting, assessments, ongoing treatment goals, and warnings/notifications.

online booking and stellar support

Pros

Clients can book online whenever they want which is a huge plus. The software has a very premium feel and the support team has been outstanding. They really listen and respond right away, no matter how you prefer to get help. I also appreciate that the secure servers are in Canada, the company is Canadian and that information was simple to confirm.

Cons

The only challenge so far has been setting up third-party payment systems. I still haven't sorted out connecting Square but that seems more like something I need to spend a bit more focused time on.

responsive support and updates

Pros

Whenever I run into an issue, I get a quick response and the support team is very receptive to feedback. It's especially nice that they often take suggestions seriously and include them in future updates.

Cons

I'd still like to have more options for customizing reports. I've been told that feature is on the way so I'm looking forward to that release.

clean templates and simple reporting

Pros

Getting started with Noterro didn't take much time at all. The interface is user-friendly, the templates are well organized and the reporting tools are simple to work with. I also appreciate the Square payment integration which makes the whole process more convenient.

Cons

I really don't have any major complaints. Once in a while, I get an error message but that seems more related to my internet connection or the fact that I'm using an older phone.

fantastic experience for everyone

Pros

The overall experience feels really polished for both practitioners and patients which makes day-to-day use enjoyable and simple.

Cons

The only downside is that it may not look quite as visually appealing as some other platforms, like Jane.

Well set up

Pros

Having in-person tech support and tutorials available has been a big plus. The platform is simple to use, the pricing and features are excellent and the overall setup works really well.

Cons

At this point I don't have any concerns. I did run into a few issues when I first started using it but after they made several upgrades and changes, those concerns completely went away.

paperless booking convenience

Pros

Moving to a paperless system for client records and charting is exactly what I was looking for. The online booking feature is really convenient because clients can choose the time that works best for them on their own. It cuts down a lot on the back-and-forth texting and messaging that usually comes with scheduling. On top of that, the online booking page looks polished and professional which adds a nice touch to my website.

Cons

The SOAP Notes side has been a bit harder to get used to since I'm still learning the app. It feels somewhat confusing right now especially because the software doesn't currently support TCM acupuncture.

clean design and helpful support

Pros

Getting around the platform is simple, the support team is helpful when needed and I really like the overall look and feel of the software.

Cons

One nice extra would be a yearly email recap for each individual clinic. I received one for Noterro overall but not for my specific clinic so it would just be a fun bonus feature to have.

flexible setup and custom forms

Pros

This system feels uncomplicated to use, comes with helpful sample templates and upgrading is simple when you need to add more users. I also appreciate that you can opt out of certain features to keep the pricing more manageable. On top of that, there's flexibility to build your own forms and it's nice to see the forms include pronoun questions as well.

Cons

The newer web app still has a few issues that need ironing out. Its design can make it seem like clients have to create an account in order to book even though that isn't actually required. Customer support could also communicate more clearly and come across as friendlier at times.

billing works really well

Pros

Billing is very simple whether I'm taking cash, checks or credit card payments which makes that part of my workflow convenient.

Cons

The insurance fields feel outdated and the software hasn't been as compatible with the US insurance CMS form as I expected.

Booking and reminders done right

Pros

Running a massage therapy practice means I need a system that lets clients book without hassle, prevents appointments from overlapping and sends reminders so nothing gets missed. Noterro handles all of that really well. Client records are also simple to scale and fit our clinical needs perfectly. Adding online booking has made a big difference too since clients can schedule whenever they need to even outside normal business hours. Honestly I don't think I could have grown my practice this successfully without such a complete and reliable tool.

Cons

I haven't run into anything with Noterro that falls below my expectations.

paperless booking and reminders

Pros

It comes with a lot of really useful features that help turn clients into regulars especially with online booking, appointment reminders and third-party billing. It's also an excellent way to move toward a paperless practice.

Cons

One thing I'd like to see improved is the explanation provided when a third-party billing claim gets rejected. In some cases, no reason appears at all so it ends up requiring a call directly to the company. When billing through Telus Health, it would be much better if the system showed why a claim was declined or unable to go through.

helpful tutorials and fast support

Pros

thanks to the video tutorials getting my clinic set up felt really manageable. The way they break down category setup is especially helpful and made the whole process much clearer.

Cons

Since this program works quite differently from what my old clinic used, there was definitely an adjustment period. That said the tutorials are excellent and the support team is helpful and very quick to respond.

constant improvements and smooth integration

Pros

Using this product has been very simple and they keep making it better with ongoing improvements. I've also been able to integrate another business without any trouble.

Cons

At the moment I honestly can't think of any downsides.. I really love everything about it.

Handy features with square

Pros

Plenty of useful features are built in and the connection with Square is especially helpful since I use it regularly.

Cons

One thing that's missing is a register in the software to view client transactions. The medical billing part is also a bit confusing and not very easy to navigate.

helpful videos and simple setup

Pros

Using it feels very simple and the how-to videos make everything much easier to figure out and manage.

Cons

The UTC shown on appointment reminders is confusing for clients because it can send the wrong appointment times through.

affordable scheduling and billing

Pros

The affordable price is a big plus. Scheduling is simple to use and the billing and invoicing tools are simple and clear as well.

Cons

A few things are still on my wish list: I'd like the system to track cancellations versus no-shows and total them up. It would also help if the appointment box showed whether an invoice is paid or unpaid and whether notes are completed or not with different icons. I'd love the option to fax or email notes directly to physicians from within the program. The diagrams built into the notes feel awkward to use and I'm not a fan of pronouns being displayed so prominently in the patient profile.
