The platform feels simple even for someone who isn't very tech-savvy and the support team has been incredibly responsive whenever I've needed help.
Cons
The biggest downside for me is not being able to use my own client forms. I also don't really have the time to rebuild them from scratch using the template.

Pros
Having a medical-based layout instead of the typical spa-style setup was a big plus for me. Noterro is also very versatile when it comes to keeping my database HIPAA compliant while still looking professional and the ability to share documents with clients for their doctors, insurance and other needs really set it apart from other online scheduling platforms.
Cons
One thing I expected was a text reply option for appointment confirmations but that feature wasn't available. That said I mentioned it to customer service and they're already working on adding it in a future update.

Pros
Hands down, the online booking is the standout feature. I've used other systems before and Noterro is easily the one my clients are happiest with. They can manage their appointments online without any hassle and I was able to connect Noterro to my website for smooth booking. Clients also really appreciate that the intake forms are simple, actually work and don't glitch. Setting up online accounts is also very simple for them. Compared with other providers I've used which felt buggy and unreliable, Noterro feels much more polished and smooth from the client side. It's also very convenient on my end because updating things like pricing, services, descriptions, availability and scheduling is quick to do. The SOAP notes are another big plus since they're user-friendly and Noterro works very well on mobile. I've used systems where you can do almost everything on your phone except SOAPs which becomes a real inconvenience during a packed day with clients.
Cons
At this point I've only run into three small things I don't love about Noterro and they're pretty minor overall. I genuinely love using it and would absolutely recommend it. First, clients can't purchase gift certificates, either online or in person. There are possible workarounds, like setting it up as a service or manually checking out that dollar amount but it would be much better if gift certificates could be bought online directly. Second, when I want to request time off, I have to go into the calendar and adjust each day one by one instead of selecting a date range and blocking it all at once. It's not a huge issue but it does take extra time and feels like something that could be improved later. Third, I'd really like more appointment reminder options for clients. Right now, there's only the option for one email and one text with different timing settings available. Personally, I'd prefer clients to receive two emails and two texts.. one set 48 hours before the appointment and another set on the day of.. since people often forget.

Whenever I've needed assistance, the support team has been excellent. The help desk replies quickly and the FAQs are useful too, usually with a video linked that walks you through what you need.
Cons

Having everything in one platform has been a big plus. It can be tailored for different therapists and professions, works well for both online use and front-desk staff and clients can create their own login to check past appointments whenever they need. That's especially helpful at year-end when they want to print their appointment history.
Cons
The only thing I miss from our previous system is the way it changed a client's color on the schedule once they had paid. On a busy day, that made it much faster to see at a glance who had already paid and who still hadn't. Noterro uses a small icon instead and it's easier to overlook when you're moving quickly.

My admin team had no trouble getting comfortable with it because the system is very user friendly. The feature I appreciate most is how thoroughly it keeps track of everything. It records booking times, who made the booking, who updated the appointment, the invoice date, the transaction date and almost every other detail you might need. Noterro also continues to improve its services over time.
Cons
Whenever an upgrade rolls out, there always seems to be some kind of glitch in the system. It's really inconvenient and at least once a year there's a new feature everyone has to learn. That tends to disrupt the flow of bookings and SOAP notes for a while.

Getting my schedule set up was really simple and it had every function I needed right from the start. The access to sales, invoicing and tax reports is something I really appreciate especially with the helpful filters. The Square integration is also a big plus and works really well for me.
Cons
Every now and then I run into issues when using Noterro across different platforms or browsers. It definitely seems to perform best on Safari.

Support is very responsive whenever there's a question or an issue to report. The system works reliably overall and when something does go wrong, it usually gets fixed fast. It's also clear they keep improving the software and the overall user experience from every angle.
Cons
I'd still like to see more detailed scheduling features, such as the option to add "add-ons" to treatments during online booking. There are also times when certain settings are a bit difficult to locate if you're not very familiar with the program.

Even without being very tech-savvy, I was able to get the system set up and learn how to use it on my own. It definitely took some time but sticking with it paid off. The setup resources were also really helpful along the way.
Cons
Getting everything set up was the hardest part for me, mostly because technology just isn't really my thing. Honestly I'd probably say that about any system I had to configure myself. If it had been an option, I would have happily paid someone to handle the setup for me.
