“Gone downhill terribly
Pros
Ease of use
Cons
Unified support has become garbage. They have started outsourcing and we have had a problem for 4 months with their software and they barely respond. When they do answer they just say they don't see anything wrong and will escalate. They never escalate it. Nothing ever changes. I cannot use their calendar or check out page without having to reload it every few minutes. They have not once tried to problem solve over the phone with me. They haven't connected to my screen to see what I

“All under one roof
Pros
Everything I need is here! Customer support is generally good, there are very infrequent glitches, and the software continuously evolves to meet industry needs.
Cons
I did like to see additional features and simplification and improvement to certain existing features. I tried but have never used the billing feature because everything about it is overcomplicated, for example. The calendar and online scheduling could be improved, as could the internal navigation.

“Thank you
Pros
It is a very easy-to-learn, easy-to-use software. It has been extremely helpful in switching over to electronic paperwork and other tasks.
Cons
Certain features get updated without me being told, and then I have to go back and figure out how to change it on my end to work for us.

“Good acupuncture software
Pros
I value that it is specific to acupuncturists, and the learning curve is relatively small.
Cons
Sometimes the fields are a little boxy and force me to type a lot to clarify my notes.

“Nickel and Dime software
Pros
For me, the ease of use, navigation, and insurance billing, once set up, are excellent.
Cons
I did not like that it required charting on an iPad to get the cool features.

“Overall very happy.
Pros
Learning how to use Unified Practice was simple, and it did not take me long to understand. My patients frequently comment on how easy it is for them to make appointments and fill out their paperwork. Whenever I have needed help from customer support, the experience has always been positive, and my issues were resolved very quickly.
Cons
I have not had many issues to comment on in this section. I don't do insurance, so I'm not using the software to its full capacity. Maybe if I was, I'd have something to complain about.

“TCM - Centric approach to EHR
Pros
For me, patient charting and scheduling are simple to use.
Cons
The latest rollout of the calendar and scheduling is not completely user-friendly, so it will take me time to use. I also did not like how I had to hunt to block my calendar.

“Unified Practice is too convenient to not use
Pros
I love that UP has everything I need. It truly is a fully unified software. With HIPAA-compliant charting and client communication, charting, scheduling, and billing, it covers all my needs. A website developer once tried to convince me to let him integrate a scheduling system other than UP on my website, but I was adamant, "absolutely not, UP has that covered." I feel like a walking UP advertisement because I cannot be convinced to switch it up.
Cons
UP was hard for me to learn how to use at first, and actually, there are a lot of features I don't use or don't find helpful. I practice in a very unique way, so I don't use many of the diagnostic tools as they are built. But I am able to manually write in everything the way I want to, and being able to upload and write on my own templates has made it all possible. I wish there was an easier way for me to view the chart history at a glance for a single client to show me what treatments I've already done.

“Integrated EHR with tons of features and crazy good customer service
Pros
I like that Unified Practice combines an online schedule with an EHR, which means that new patients who schedule are automatically added as patients and sent new patient paperwork. It also integrates with my email provider, Constant Contact, and is HIPAA compliant with this integration, so it is easy and secure to move patient emails into Constant Contact and send marketing emails. Lastly, their customer service always blows me away. Inside the software, I can chat almost immediately with the helpdesk (a real person). They usually answer within an hour, if not sooner, and they check in on me to see if implementing their suggestion was helpful.
Cons
The only suggestion I'd make is to add a "Waitlist" feature. I'd love a way for potential patients to share their information with me (email, etc.) even if I don't have availability for new patients at the moment. Then, when an appointment time opens up, I could give them a call and see if they're available to come in. Hint hint!

“Too bulky
Pros
I utilize the app, and the customer service has been good.
Cons
I find it too bulky and not very user-friendly. I used it for my previous clinic (Three Treasures Holistic Care), and I didn't want to use it for my new clinic.

“Out standing Service, Great product! I'm so glad Unified practice exists.
Pros
Scheduling and adding new patients quickly on my iPhone app is convenient. I treasure the precision with which I can calculate how I treat my patients and the time it takes, depending on the service I am providing. I can list all my clinic services and link the scheduling system to my website effortlessly. My patients find it so easy to book appointments themselves that I rarely have to do it for them anymore. The software is easily shared between my colleague and me. The fluidity of going from one step to the next when setting up the program for my business is impressive. The charting notes mean no more paper, and the specific acupuncture-related information makes charting easy and comprehensive. Occasionally, there are things I wish UP had available in their EHR, and when I call to ask about it, they are often already working on it and usually unveil it within a day to a week. Like any business, sometimes you do not know everything you need until you get going, but when they realize that their EHR program can be improved or enhanced, they are on top of making it happen. It takes a crazy amount of work to add improvements, and not only do they do that, but they also make it easy enough for a toddler to use, a toddler or an acupuncturist!
Cons
This is not really a con. Occasionally, I come across things that I wish the program offered, and whenever I call to ask about it, this brilliant but small and growing business is already working hard on making it happen for all their acupuncture users so that we can have a comprehensive, seamless program that takes care of all the business needs we need to have a successful, organized, and HIPAA-compliant business.

“Love United Practice
Pros
This EHR is very user-friendly for me. It incorporates everything from patient booking to herbal inventories. I love it. The customer support is awesome and the team is great!
Cons
I am very satisfied with this software. If I really need to say a "con" and if I need to improve, the timer (Icon: spinning circle) should be faster when browsing , it is actually a very minor issue.
