Pros
Overall I see the software as feasible and well suited for small to medium-sized businesses and I appreciate features like email alerts, customizable print layouts and the ability to create my own doctypes when standard forms don't meet my needs.
Cons
For the manufacturing side, I've noticed some features are missing or clunky, the production planning tool in particular isn't user-friendly. The accounting module also lacks an offset feature I need and integrating with dot-matrix printers is a hassle. In our setup we use dot printers to produce Sales Invoices and Delivery Receipts, while the printed output looks fine, it doesn't support continuous paper feeding which creates a real inconvenience for us.

In my work, I've found the extensibility and flexibility unmatched and I really value that adding a field instantly exposes it as an API endpoint while the disciplined core workflows help me keep our processes clean and consistent.
Cons
For someone new to IT software, this tool still feels far from simple or convenient. If you have no background in IT and zero technical skills, I wouldn't recommend it because I found it difficult to get started without that knowledge. I'm hopeful the team will invest more in UX and make the interface easier for newcomers and very occasional users since right now it seems built for experts and daily operators. In my experience this open source option outshines big packages like Salesforce and SAP in many ways but poor UX across the IT world doesn't mean the problem can't be solved. The documentation also frustrated me because it's often very technical and not organized around real jobs or use cases so my team and I have begun trying to improve that. Still, I know it's easy to request changes and much harder to implement them so it's a work in progress.

As an active user, I'm working with an open-source platform that's easy to handle and I appreciate the wide range of built-in modules along with a growing community and active forum where I can discuss issues.
Cons
Because we're part of an active open-source project, we often get lots of feature requests that don't really fit well with our system and I sometimes think many of them aren't ideal to implement. Additionally, the permission system is a bit complicated which makes managing access more tough than I'd like.

Cons
Getting everything up and running was a significant chore for me. I needed technical familiarity with dependencies such as MariaDB, Frappe, NodeJS and Redis to both install and adapt the system. I also found customization demanding because several modules are tightly interconnected which complicates changes.
