“Easy integrations”

Pros

When it comes to integrations, I find they are simple and very easy to manage.

Cons

Reports are poor. I think they need to improve reporting especially within the Education module.

Pros

Overall I see the software as feasible and well suited for small to medium-sized businesses and I appreciate features like email alerts, customizable print layouts and the ability to create my own doctypes when standard forms don't meet my needs.

Cons

For the manufacturing side, I've noticed some features are missing or clunky, the production planning tool in particular isn't user-friendly. The accounting module also lacks an offset feature I need and integrating with dot-matrix printers is a hassle. In our setup we use dot printers to produce Sales Invoices and Delivery Receipts, while the printed output looks fine, it doesn't support continuous paper feeding which creates a real inconvenience for us.

From what I've seen, the app is packed with useful features, I haven't found any bugs or errors and I find customization very feasible.

Cons

I feel the notification system could be improved and the overall user interface could use a nicer, more polished look.

Pros

In my work, I've found the extensibility and flexibility unmatched and I really value that adding a field instantly exposes it as an API endpoint while the disciplined core workflows help me keep our processes clean and consistent.

Cons

For someone new to IT software, this tool still feels far from simple or convenient. If you have no background in IT and zero technical skills, I wouldn't recommend it because I found it difficult to get started without that knowledge. I'm hopeful the team will invest more in UX and make the interface easier for newcomers and very occasional users since right now it seems built for experts and daily operators. In my experience this open source option outshines big packages like Salesforce and SAP in many ways but poor UX across the IT world doesn't mean the problem can't be solved. The documentation also frustrated me because it's often very technical and not organized around real jobs or use cases so my team and I have begun trying to improve that. Still, I know it's easy to request changes and much harder to implement them so it's a work in progress.

Based on my experience I consider this one of the best open-source solutions available today and I appreciate that I can tailor it without writing code while enjoying a very user-friendly UI and UX.

this tool struggles when used in large organizations because it doesn't support multiple parallel sessions which can be a hard limitation for enterprise teams.

A number of functions seem aimed at needs in other countries and I find it's not always clear how to adjust them to fit my own requirements. I also miss certain features particularly when I'm used to batch processing workflows.

As an active user, I'm working with an open-source platform that's easy to handle and I appreciate the wide range of built-in modules along with a growing community and active forum where I can discuss issues.

Cons

Because we're part of an active open-source project, we often get lots of feature requests that don't really fit well with our system and I sometimes think many of them aren't ideal to implement. Additionally, the permission system is a bit complicated which makes managing access more tough than I'd like.

It's simple to navigate, I can quickly add clients and agreements, search invoices and customer records and use it smoothly within projects.

reporting system is fantastic, I can create almost any report I need, it's convenient to use and it really puts me in complete control of the application.

Software frequently slows down, the offline synchronization takes a long time to complete and I think it still lacks a number of important features.

It supports multiple industry types and I can use it across a broad spectrum of companies. It also handles multi-tenant and multi-company setups, meaning a single installation serves several firms and I appreciate that there's a mobile app which makes it convenient to use.

In my experience installation and troubleshooting need some technical expertise so not just anyone can set it up, it also demands a dedicated environment with root access since shared hosting isn't supported which makes the deployment somewhat costly.

I noticed it lacks a conventional dashboard with common charts and it takes some setup and tweaks even for feasible projects, also, the POS functionality could definitely be improved.

I found that integrating the system with older legacy platforms requires fairly advanced technical skills and can become quite complicated.

As a user, I appreciate that this is an open-source IT platform and that it depends on open-source components. In my experience it offers a wide set of features suitable for different organizations like schools, hospitals, sales companies and other similar institutions.

Cons

Getting everything up and running was a significant chore for me. I needed technical familiarity with dependencies such as MariaDB, Frappe, NodeJS and Redis to both install and adapt the system. I also found customization demanding because several modules are tightly interconnected which complicates changes.

I think it's a good value and I like that it's one of the rare cloud-based IT platforms that lets me keep a local backup of my database. I've found their customer support responsive and the system is feasible to set up and use. It offers flexible deployment choices and provides a great framework for tailoring and customization.

From my testing I found the platform, as delivered, to be quite limited, several features that had been promoted were either missing or didn't work the way they were claimed to which was frustrating.

As a user, I really appreciate that this is free and open-source and offers a high level of customization. The community around it is very active and the interface feels welcoming and simple to navigate. Even someone new to programming like me can use it without any trouble!

Future releases could expand the available tools and I'd appreciate broader functionality, a few minor bugs exist though I trust the active community will resolve them quickly.
