Right from the start PeopleSoft felt very easy to use. I could run queries, save them exactly how I wanted and they stayed set up the same way every time. After only a week of using it I had already picked up on the smaller details and felt comfortable navigating the system.

Cons

At the same time it's a large, older-style platform so it does come with some limitations. One thing I noticed was the lack of a built-in option to create reports directly. Whenever I needed a report, I had to pull the data first, export it into Excel and then put the report together there.

Pros

Working with it as an Accountant I can count on it for my day to day responsibilities. It keeps everything well organized and I'm able to quickly pull up employee records, paychecks and documents which helps me get through work more efficiently. It also manages large volumes of data without trouble and remains stable even when I'm dealing with bigger datasets so my work feels much more manageable and less stressful. The interface still isn't the most modern but the newer updates, like the refreshed landing page, have made it more user friendly and let me reach my tasks faster. Overall it's a dependable system that does exactly what I need.

Cons

If I had to point out one minor downside, it would be that the layout can feel a little dated so now and then it takes an extra second to remember where certain things are. Aside from that, it still performs reliably for my everyday tasks.

Pros

The tool stands out for the depth and reliability it brings to enterprise Finance and Supply Chain work. It includes a broad set of mature capabilities, strong data integrity and amazing controls that consistently support complex business rules. After implementation it becomes part of daily critical operations and continues to perform reliably even at scale. Also it integrates well with other Oracle products and enterprise applications and support is helpful on critical issues when the right support contract is in place.

Cons

Getting comfortable takes time because the system is complex and has a steep learning curve. The interface seems old and can be hard for new users to navigate easily. Implementation usually takes a long time and demands significant resources, often including specialized consultants. Connecting it with non-Oracle systems can be challenging and heavy customization adds more maintenance work over the long term. Support response can also be slow for non-urgent issues and updates or new enhancements do not come as frequently as they do with more modern cloud-native platforms.

Having one system that can handle all invoice processing is a big advantage.

Considering how big the company is, it's impressive that payroll, benefits and employee records are all handled in one reliable system. It manages a lot of complex processes in the background which takes a lot off my plate and is honestly a huge relief.

The downside is that the system seems old and confusing. Even simple tasks take too many clicks which makes everything feel slower than it should. The self-service tools are especially frustrating for employees and the interface overall is not very user friendly.

As someone working at a big firm I find this tool effective for enterprise use and very easy to use. My team relies on it mainly for audits and compiling reports.

It feels somewhat dated to me. There are newer apps that do similar things and I can tell my company is beginning to move away from it.

The value for money is outstanding especially compared to other options I've tried. Customer service has been phenomenal....always responsive and genuinely helpful. And the ease of use? It's simply in a league of its own. I honestly couldn't ask for a better combination of affordability, support and simplicity.

My only real con is that I've heard salespeople using fairly aggressive and possibly unethical tactics. Those kinds of concerns have been cropping up in conversations I've had.

I've relied on it as the backbone of our system for over fifteen years now. Beyond handling student-facing portals, it also manages HR functions for us. In our experience it adapts well to a university environment and has proven to be dependable and stable.

Cons

Using it does involve a noticeable learning curve and some of the routes to certain pages aren't particularly user-friendly. Thankfully the favorites feature is handy and helps workaround those awkward paths. I've noticed occasional service interruptions when traffic spikes often when well over twenty thousand people are trying to access the system simultaneously. Since I don't have insight into how our setup is architected it's quite possible these outages stem from our local servers rather than PeopleSoft itself.

Pros

I'm really impressed with the wide range of features and how convenient they feel to use. The interface makes everyday tasks simple. Someone with any level of experience should be able to use it without trouble.

Overall I don't have major complaints about the product although if pressed to mention something it would be the sheer number of choices presented which can feel a bit overwhelming at times.

Honestly everything about it frustrates me. If I had the option to move to a different HR management tool, I'd plead for that change and fight hard to make it happen.
