Oracle has been one of the best tools for checking fee structures, reviewing student background details like backlogs and verifying any outstanding amounts. One feature I really appreciate is that it automatically prompts a password change every 60 days which adds a strong layer of security.

I have been using it for more than two years now and up to this point I haven't run into a single issue.

After more than three years of using this tool, it has been simple to learn and convenient for checking details. I can access fee information from the ERP, including records for former students which makes it useful for verifying payment status. It also has proper authentication in place since access requires both an ID and password.

It seems to be moving in the right direction but there are times when it runs quite slowly. Other than that, everything else has been fine.

It supports a large number of employees across payroll, purchasing, timekeeping, HR records and learning or class management. It keeps a huge amount of information in one centralized place which is very useful.

The interface looks dated and seems far from user friendly. Each module, whether it's Finance, HE or e-Learning, takes a lot of time to learn properly and the system tends to glitch fairly often especially in the procurement functions.

It would feel more interactive if they added a chatbot and I'd appreciate that.

The software is very user friendly and easy to work with. It's simple enough for beginners to pick up, while still working well for users at any skill level.

At work I have been using it for years. One thing that stands out is how difficult it is to bring new systems and processes into it. Rolling out a new way of doing things usually ends up taking a year or even two.

A lot of people would probably say it seems outdated and far from modern. I believe the institute is already considering other options to replace it since it's not something many people are enthusiastic about.

The system responds quickly, is easy to navigate and is comfortable to work with. It also offers good flexibility since it can be customized based on specific needs and new modules can be added when required.

I would say it still lacks enough options to fully match current trends and country-specific requirements. Having separate versions tailored to different countries would make it more suitable for a wider range of users.

Oracle PeopleSoft comes with a wide range of modules that support different areas of business operations such as HR, finance, supply chain and customer relationship management. Having all of these functions in one complete suite helps organizations run multiple departments within a single system instead of relying on separate software tools.

It requires a major financial commitment which can be challenging especially for small and mid-sized businesses. Between licensing fees, implementation and ongoing maintenance costs, the total expense can be quite high and may put it out of reach for organizations working with tighter budgets.

The tool brings a lot together in one place which makes it really useful for handling large amounts of information. It does a good job covering personnel management, student records and budgeting so having everything in a single system is a big advantage.

Cons

The tool can be pretty slow when generating reports or searching for names and keywords. The search also feels limited because it doesn't do a good job suggesting possible matches when a name is entered in different ways, like with or without a hyphen.

Oracle PeopleSoft has been a very user friendly application for us and it's simple to work with. We've been using it for the past 5-6 years and it has consistently been a really amazing solution for employee management in both large and small organizations. Overall it's a very good HR application.

One thing we did feel was missing was the travel module. Aside from that, it stands out as one of the better HR applications although there is still room for improvement and the addition of more features.

I appreciate that the applications let my team generate reports regularly, tapping into multiple database metrics essential for our evaluations.

My team found the learning curve for deployment and productive use demands a large group of specialists, including ongoing support. Although the interface can be adjusted, it still feels somewhat dated from a UI/UX perspective.

We pretty much have everything in one place. We can handle and audit our finances, dig into inventory tracking, evaluate and rate suppliers and generally manage them with ease, among other things.

I need a constant internet connection. When connectivity drops or there are technical failures, we can run into serious issues that disrupt our work.

At The Ohio State University it was a useful tool for our office because it allowed us to properly archive receipts, invoices and payment documents, while also helping us enter journals to handle cost transfers between different university cost centers.

Well the frustration with was that finding invoices and supporting documents to confirm whether payments had gone through was difficult unless you had a specific reference such as a vendor ID or invoice number. On top of that journal transfers had to be entered one line at a time and there were no drop-down options to make recurring journal entries faster.

Pros

Keeping employee records organized is where it really helps. It lets you enter available hours and employees can complete their annual self-evaluations and set goals on their own. Vacation time is also trackable which is useful. The biggest plus for me is how simple it is and the training needed to get started is minimal.

Cons

Uploading documents can be quite frustrating because it often takes several attempts before they finally go through. Even when the upload works, the system compresses the original file so much that the quality drops and some documents become hard to read. If any information gets lost during the process, you have to re-enter everything from scratch.

The platform covers a wide range of functions and has a very strong foundation. It seems powerful and dependable overall.

At this point it feels somewhat outdated and the pace of functional development seems fairly limited.

I use this product for everything from running reports to entering contracts. It really supports how our organization operates. When I run queries, it helps me hit targets and track progress. I also rely on the 'favorites' feature since it gives me fast access to the tools I use most often.

Cons

For me the main drawback is that finding a new tool or an unfamiliar option can feel somewhat clunky and time-consuming. If it had a modernized search or discovery feature, I believe it would make the system easier to use and greatly boost overall accessibility and day-to-day usability.

Navigation is very easy and it lets both users and super users clearly see the leave credits that are available.

Cons

There's still some chance for user error since the information in the system is only as accurate as the data entered but that's fairly standard with software like this.
