Running a business with this software has been a really positive experience. It's user-friendly, helps you stay on top of operations and gives you better control over invoicing. Whenever help is needed, the customer service team is there and genuinely supportive. They come across as knowledgeable professionals who truly care about their users.
Cons

“amazing texting features”
Pros
Having customer texting built in has been really useful and the team messaging is just as helpful. On top of that, invoicing, scheduling and keeping customer information stored in one place makes work much easier to manage.
Cons
I'd really like to see an automatic confirmation text sent to customers a day ahead of their booking, just to make sure everything is still good to go. At the moment, I have to send those messages manually.

“Clear interface and fast updates”
Pros
Right away, the software feels very user-friendly. The interface is clean and simple and having both a mobile app and a desktop app makes it really convenient to use in different situations. One thing I really appreciate is how responsive the company is to user feedback, they seem to listen and roll out updates pretty quickly. It also offers an open API with plenty of third-party software integrations and they appear willing to expand that even further. The work orders feature has also been really solid.
Cons
There are still some important features being developed that really need to be in place but aren't available yet. A few key features do exist but they feel like they didn't get as much attention as they should have especially compared to other less important areas that seem more polished. The reporting could go much deeper and the service agreements section still needs improvement.

Housecall Pro has been really helpful for managing our customer scheduling, dispatching and invoicing all in one place. The system is simple to use and having a customer database with a full history on each account makes it simple to look back at past records whenever we need to.

I really appreciate how consistently it keeps growing and expanding. They're always paying attention to customer feedback and looking for ways to make the overall experience better.
Cons
The only challenge is that growth naturally brings a few obstacles along the way but it's hardly a real downside since they've done an excellent job working through them.

Pros
Having everything in one central hub has been a big help, customer records, scheduling, quotes and invoicing are all in the same place. My stress level has honestly dropped by 20% or more. When a new customer comes in and I book a job for a free consultation, I can set it up and move on. That's a good thing because I've got plenty of other things on my mind besides wondering whether I entered that customer into all the different patchwork systems I used before.
Cons
would like to see the ability to copy a quote from one customer over to another.

Pros
The job tracking, scheduling and customer history have been really useful and I also appreciate how well it keeps customers informed throughout the process.
Cons
Since I started using HouseCall, the company has grown a lot and at times that seems to have made the software a bit problematic and occasionally buggy.

Pros
Right away the platform felt simple to work with and it's well set up for mobile use. Sending invoices is simple and being able to view customer texts directly through the mobile app is really helpful.
Cons
One downside is that the mobile app still doesn't match the desktop version. It also doesn't automatically send notifications for recurring services. The pricing feels too high especially during the off-season for lawn service. Back in the winter of 2019, I had to cancel it and later returned, even though it meant paying a bit more.

Everything feels much more fluid now and is very smooth to operate.
Cons
The employee time tracking is weak since it only shows clock-in and clock-out. Other programs display each employee's time throughout the day although that's a pretty minor issue.

It keeps all the information we need in one place which has been really helpful. The sales proposal feature is especially a standout since it lets customers choose between several package options.
Cons
It doesn't really feel built for construction work. It seems better suited to smaller day-to-day service businesses like plumbing or HVAC. I'd also really like to see change orders added since larger jobs tend to shift constantly from one day to the next.

Quite simple to handle and it doesn't take much to understand how things work. Adding or removing line items is also very simple which makes updates quick.
Cons
On the accounting side, though, it has been a nightmare. We have not been able to figure out exactly what we paid in credit card processing fees and that information is not available to us. They have shown no interest in helping by providing an invoice that breaks down what we paid and I'm honestly shocked by the level of customer service around this issue. I was told to dig through my invoices to calculate it myself but with thousands of invoices that is basically impossible. If money goes missing and you cannot track it down, this is where you will notice it. Your invoices and bank statements will not line up and when your accountant asks for that information, you will not have anything to give them. In the end, you may have to absorb that loss when filing taxes and it can add up to thousands.
