Pros
Ability to get booked directly through my own website has been a big plus. The "on my way" texting feature is really helpful and accepting credit cards makes the whole process even better.
Cons
No downsides at all. Their invoicing works very well and the customer service has been excellent too.

“scheduling feature that really delivers”
Pros
The scheduling feature has been fantastic. It lets you view what your whole team is doing throughout the entire week and it also makes it clear which jobs still need to be added to the schedule.
Cons
One thing I'd really like to see is an option to add a property and mark it as multi-family right away. We handle a lot of those and right now we have to manually enter and check each unit.

Honestly there wasn't anything positive to point to. The product didn't fit what we needed, we couldn't use it and it never even got implemented.
Cons
Dealing with the company's customer service was extremely frustrating. Phone calls and emails went unanswered and when we did reach out, nothing was ever properly resolved.

Pros
Managing estimates, projects and team communication with Housecall Pro feels much more organized because everything is kept simple to use. It also lets you send clients real-time messages when you're on the way to an estimate or job which has been a huge help. That feature by itself has saved our office staff a lot of time.
Cons
Even though it has a modern-looking design, the viewing screens can occasionally glitch depending on which browser you're using. Customer support is generally helpful but there are times when they don't seem to be aware of a specific issue. Another thing I'm not a fan of is how projects and events are displayed. When there's more than one project scheduled on the same day, they can end up blending together and looking mashed into one.

“Amazingly complete communication hub”
Pros
Across the whole team, everyone can stay in touch, share photos and documents, add notes, correct wrong information, pull up maps and reach customers by text or phone. Customers can also pay online, contact us directly and receive alerts when we're on the way. It really feels like a very complete system.
Cons
The thing missing on the back end is the ability to separate clients into groups based on whether they want emails or mailed communication. That would be an extremely helpful feature to have.

Pros
Running a business that handles mostly smaller maintenance jobs means a lot of activity every month and before we started using Housecall Pro, that created some real problems for us. We didn't realize it at first but a number of jobs were never getting billed. They were just slipping through the cracks and nobody noticed for months. Since switching over, the invoicing system has completely fixed that issue and put an end to missed billing.
Cons
The site is a bit heavy so it can take a minute to load sometimes, though it's not overly long. It's still workable.

Everything about it feels tailored to modern service businesses. It runs as a genuinely paperless system, keeps up well with current technology and is simple to understand because the layout stays pretty basic and uncluttered. I enjoy working with it and the mobile app is a big plus. Between that and how simple it is to use, it really stands out as a strong option.
Cons
A few basic processes feel more time-consuming than they should, like having to go through questions that can take several minutes when a quick one-minute conversation would be enough. That said I do not have many complaints. Some customer field options are too limited such as not being able to include extensions or a spouse's name and there is also some confusion around billing customers for completed work.

Incredible how fast customer support usually responds. Scheduling jobs is simple and the weekly calendar gives a clear view of everything coming up. It's also nice that customers automatically get a message when you tap that you're on the way.
Cons
