“False claims about local jobs”
Pros
Honestly there wasn't anything I liked about it. I signed up because I had read that the app could help people make some extra income and I even shared my important personal information during the process, only to be told afterward that there was nothing available in my area.
Cons
The worst part was how misleading it felt. It seemed to advertise job opportunities where I live but once I registered, it turned out there were no listings in my area at all.

“All in one program”
Pros
It does a really good job of simplifying operations for service businesses. It helps bring everything into one place, from booking appointments and dispatching technicians to handling invoices and collecting payments which makes the overall workflow much more organized and efficient.
Cons
Compared with other business management platforms, it can feel a bit expensive especially for smaller companies that may not actually use every feature it offers.

Pros
It has been an excellent tool for keeping our service team organized and on schedule. We're able to send notifications to employees, clients and for rollouts which helps everyone stay informed. The ability to invoice either on-site or online makes it much easier to get payments in on time. Calendar syncing keeps the team up to date and having a database for notes, projects, contact details and more is incredibly helpful. It's been perfect for what we need.
Cons
There are no major issues. The only thing that might be a nice addition is a deeper integration with Insightly though I'm pretty sure that's already possible and we just haven't set it up yet.

Pros
I really appreciate how the software automatically sends notifications to our customers. That's been extremely helpful for keeping them informed and reassured about the services we provide.
Cons
There are still a few features I'd love to see added or improved. On the plus side, whenever we come across an area where it could do better, we're able to submit a Pro Vote.

Pros
It's online booking has really changed the way my business runs. Clients can schedule appointments on their own without any hassle and that's saved a lot of time and back-and-forth for both them and me.
Cons
Estimates feature could be better. There's no option to label estimates as quotes or proposals and that can end up being confusing for clients.

There's a lot to appreciate here and I've really been enjoying the features overall. The only thing that would make it even better is GPS support for our larger trucks that works directly with this software.
Cons
The only real downside at this point is the lack of compatible GPS tracking software.

This software is an excellent choice for companies that want to streamline their processes and eliminate the need for physical paperwork. It provides a comprehensive solution for managing documents and communications digitally, helping businesses achieve greater efficiency and reduce their environmental footprint.
Cons
HCP is shifting its focus towards marketing. Pro clients are no longer the target audience; now, the pros are the "Product" and the new target is warranty companies. There's no quick way to search for jobs and clients from the main page using keywords. Features that make sense on a Google platform are dismissed in the HCP boardroom. My main gripe: emails to clients are sent from HCP, and the pros don't even get a copy. This means there's no traceability compliance. When an invoice is created and sent, the job isn't locked up and can be edited after the client is billed. The office never sees what the client gets sent, and HCP can't retrieve it for you. I'm told emails are lost after seven days.

Pros
I liked being able to notify clients when we were on the way. It was also very convenient to collect payment right on site as soon as the job was finished.
Cons
It still misses a few things, like built-in accounting although it seems they are working toward that. The jobs tab could also use more flexibility.

After spending years on Housecall Pro, we left for another platform and ended up coming right back a year later. That return happened for a lot of reasons but the biggest ones were how simple it is to use, how strong the feature set is, the excellent customer support and the pricing overall.
Cons
The only area I'd still like to see improved is the auto pricing for Maintenance Plan Agreements. The functionality does exist but it would be even better if it were more detailed. For example, our Gold Level includes a $0 service call fee, 10% off materials and $50 off a new system. HCP does handle the 10% discount already though so it's still an amazing feature overall.

Pros
The scheduling and invoicing tools have made the biggest difference for me.
Cons
One thing that still needs improvement is setting up multiple dates under a single job without having to create a segment. It would also help if all segments could be billed together on one invoice because right now items in separate segments don't get invoiced once the job has already been marked as finished.
