Pros
Managing appointments, estimates, invoicing and customer communication feels really simple with Housecall Pro. I can see my full schedule in one place, send reminders to customers and keep them updated on the status of their job without extra hassle. The invoicing feature alone saves me a lot of time.
Cons
It might not fit every budget and even though the platform is user-friendly, it can still take a bit of time to fully learn how to get the most out of all its features.

Cons

Cons

Housecall Pro comes with a solid set of features that make it a go-to option for many service businesses, including mobile access, online booking, real-time scheduling and quick invoice creation. The platform is also simple to use which helps service providers stay on top of appointments, billing and invoicing without much hassle.
Cons
It can feel a little expensive compared to other similar platforms. On top of that, customization can be somewhat limited since certain features and services are not offered in every region. The mobile app can also be inconsistent at times, with bugs and occasional crashes that may be frustrating for users who depend on it regularly.

Pros
The activity feed on each job or estimate has been one of the most useful parts of the software. Being able to scroll back through the full history, see who changed what and view the time stamps has been really valuable for our team and helps everyone stay on the same page.
Cons
Email notification tracking for estimates could be better. If an estimate is sent by email, there is no alert when the message fails to deliver. Right now, the only way to confirm it went through is to open each estimate one by one which takes extra time and gets pretty tedious.

It's made a huge difference in how we run the business. We're scheduling work weeks in advance now which keeps both our field crew and our customers much happier. On top of that, the ability to monitor efficiency and team productivity gives us better insight and should really help us continue growing the company.
Cons
One thing that would really improve it for us is support for multiple contacts under a single account. A lot of our customers are larger contractors with several jobs happening at the same time so being able to select specific contacts for each job and send text notifications to the right person would be incredibly helpful.

From day one, it has been very user friendly. The text and email communication features work really well and having customer history, profit and loss charts, statistics and growth tracking all in one place has been a huge plus. It also includes extra options like built-in financing and phone service which adds a lot of value. Another thing I appreciate is being able to add more tools as the company continues to grow.
Cons
Up to this point, I really haven't run into any problems. The only thing I'd still like to see is the ability to incorporate truck trackers.

Overall feel of the app is very nice. It's generally pretty polished. Billing and pricing are fairly convenient and there are some professional-grade features included as well.
Cons
That said a lot of the promises did not match reality. The tap reader option and lower credit card rates were presented as available but outside the US that turned out to be false advertising. The app also feels unfinished in several important areas. For example, there's no way to show an expiration period on estimates, such as saying they're valid for 30 days. There's also no proper way to add a unique job description for each individual job so the only workaround is constantly editing service descriptions which gets frustrating fast. The photo messaging feature sounded useful when I signed up but I found out pretty quickly that it only works with iMessage which is a poor design choice especially since ServiceTitan handled that across different platforms. On top of that, it's been hard to set up specific terms for different situations because the setup is too broad and one-size-fits-all. If you offer similar services, it may be manageable but if your business covers multiple trades, the system becomes awkward and clunky.

It takes some effort up front to get everything set up and entered but after that the whole process becomes mostly a matter of clicking through each step, from estimate to work order to billing and even collecting reviews.
