Keeps things professional

Pros

Instead of jumping between different apps to manage jobs and keep work orders organized, I can handle everything in Housecall Pro. All the details I need stay in one place, from getting the work order through sending the customer invoice. It keeps everything organized, consolidated and looking professional.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into anything with Housecall Pro that feels like a real weak point. If I had to mention something, it would just be a fun extra like more customization options for the background, colors or overall design.

Excellent for field data collection

Pros

Using it for patient data collection across 52 districts has worked out really well for us. Collecting household information through the software is simple and the mobile access is especially helpful since our field workers are spread across different locations. Assigning field executives to their respective districts is convenient and features like calendar synchronization, service history, work order management and the client database are all well organized, easy to retrieve and simple to understand.

Cons

I haven't run into any issues while using it for field data collection work.

Handy add-ons

Pros

It was simple to operate and it came with plenty of add-ons that made it more useful.

Cons

They advertise online payments as an included feature but if you don't use it often enough, they take away access which feels misleading.

Staying organized with Housecall Pro

Pros

Housecall Pro does a really nice job of helping me stay organized and keep everything in one place.

Cons

The mobile app doesn't work the same way as the website so it feels more limited.

Great value for money

Pros

Compared with a lot of other CRM/FSM platforms, it gives you the functionality and bundled features of a much bigger system at a fraction of the price. There are no crazy per-user fees or excessive add-on charges, just flat-rate packages that are fair, affordable and practical even for very small home service businesses. Amazing overall and very usable.

Cons

I still haven't figured out how to switch an invoice to a different customer without having to start over from scratch.

Uncomplicated cloud-based system

Pros

Overall it's a solid tool. What works well for us is being able to handle business processes directly in the cloud and improve the way we work without dealing with something complicated or needing any previous systems in place.

Cons

It integrates nicely with the system I already use and that has made it very practical for me. I can even manage it from a smartphone and it doesn't feel expensive or hard to use.

Budget-friendly option

Pros

Managing online bookings and appointments with this software has been really simple. It's simple to use, keeps scheduling organized and the pricing is budget-friendly too.

Cons

It supports limited integrations with my payment providers. Other than that, the software is still very simple to work with.

It covers everything I need and honestly the best way to judge it is to try the trial yourself instead of relying too much on reviews.

Cons

The mobile app feels pretty limited and doesn't come close to offering everything that's available on the desktop version.

Knowledgeable support team

Pros

Getting this software up and running was very simple and the customer support team is always quick to respond and make sure any concerns are handled properly and on time whenever I reach out.

Rude staff

Pros

The platform itself is pretty decent, simple to use and not too difficult to figure out.

Cons

Customer support is easily the biggest issue. The agents can come across as rude and short and I really wish I could say it only happened once. I'd love to say it was just 7 or 8 times but that wouldn't be true.

Decent for beginners

Pros

It worked well when I was first getting started and it was a good platform to use before I eventually moved on to something better suited to my needs.

Cons

Since I work in the automotive space, it feels pretty limited for what I do. Back when I was in the windows business though, it was absolutely excellent.

Cuts down on paperwork

Pros

Having less paperwork in the office is a big plus and being able to pull up a customer's history along with photos of completed repairs is really helpful. Whenever there's any uncertainty, I can just go back and check the history.

Cons

One issue I've run into is with the mobile version since it doesn't always display all the information properly. Sometimes jobs or estimates don't show up where they're supposed to so I have to search for the customer and open the history to find invoices or estimates.

Can schedule appointments from the app

Pros

One of the most useful parts of this software has been being able to manage, track and schedule appointments directly from the app. It's also really helpful that I can monitor payments and keep payment records in the same place without needing anything else.

Cons

Getting the app set up at the beginning was a bit challenging and it took some time to figure out how everything worked. Once I got the hang of it though, I was able to use it without much trouble.

Ideal for smaller businesses

Pros

This software has been a real lifesaver for me. It helped me organize and schedule my activities much more efficiently and the related services are genuinely very helpful when you're running a small business.

Cons

The name of the software really doesn't reflect everything it actually offers. Its price is also quite high for small and medium-sized businesses.
