“Offers a vast range of features”
Pros
The thing that really makes it stand out is the range of features it offers. It gives customers a convenient way to pay a fixed price for services which is really helpful. It also includes estimates, QuickBooks integration, reporting and other useful tools.
Cons
The pricing feels a little expensive to me and the scheduling and calendar functions could be better. Aside from that, the service itself has been excellent.

“Real-time access on the go”
Pros
Being able to access the app interface and other applications in real time is what I appreciate most. It's very convenient and the fact that I can use it on my mobile phone makes it even better.
Cons
At this point I don't have any suggestions for improvement. It has been convenient for me to use.

“Huge time saver”
Pros
Honestly there's a lot to love here. It's very simple to use and it speeds up scheduling, estimates and service calls quite a bit. Being able to save equipment details right in the customer's profile is also incredibly helpful. It saves a ton of time overall.
Cons
Nothing at all. I genuinely have no complaints. It's the best software on the market.

“Amazing for scheduling and invoicing”
Pros
Keeping up with home maintenance jobs for our team and our clients has been much more organized with Housecall Pro. It's been really helpful for scheduling and sending out estimates, invoices and similar documents is incredibly simple.
Cons
Honestly I can't point to anything I disliked. It's very user-friendly even when using it on mobile.

“good for very small business les than 5 employees”
Pros
HCP's scheduling feature is solid, making it easy to view a week and adjust resources. However, it could benefit from a rolling week view instead of the current Monday-to-Friday setup. The scheduling function is HCP's standout feature. I hope they don't change it or follow the lead of other software companies with poor scheduling options.
Cons
It's impossible to use HCP to create legally binding contracts; you have to use DocuSign or another app. Invoicing can't be customized; it's based on line items and can't be summarized. You can't customize messaging, and invoices end up being frustrating for customers on large multiday jobs. You can't create and save your invoice letters. Integration with QuickBooks is a daily hassle, and the search function is a real problem with the new release. There's no logic to how jobs and estimates are stored in HCP. They call "jobs" invoices. Imagine getting an HCP "invoice" before the job has even started , very confusing for customers and employees until you get used to it. This is suited for a tiny business or a team with no software experience.

“Simple to get the hang of”
Pros
Bringing a new employee onto it is pretty simple. Both the office staff and the field team can usually learn the system quickly without much trouble.
Cons
Keeping the schedule looking clean is where it gets frustrating. If one technician needs to jump in and help another, it can make the calendar look messy fast. The layout has also been changed too many times and it feels like the updates keep focusing on appearance instead of improvements that would actually help HVAC businesses the most.

“Solid support”
Pros
The platform is very user-friendly, simple to navigate and backed by really strong customer support.
Cons
The only frustrating part was how often the sales reps kept reaching out. At one point, I was getting five or six calls from them every week which became pretty annoying.

“Works well with Quickbooks”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages of this software is how well it works with QuickBooks. It also makes it simple to stay in touch with employees and put schedules together without much hassle.
Cons
The pricing is the part that hurts. Even though it comes with a lot of features and is fairly user-friendly, having to pay extra for additional users adds up quickly. There are definitely less expensive alternatives out there.

“Customer service has gone downhill”
Pros
There was a time when it felt like a really solid company because they seemed to genuinely care about their customers. That has changed a lot though and now it feels like they no longer take customer concerns or issues seriously or give them much consideration.
Cons
The biggest problems have been the updates, the pricing plans and the customer service.

“Mobile-friendly software”
Pros
Running our service business became much more organized once we started using this software. It really helped us put systems in place and move everything into a digital workflow. Dispatching team members was smooth, scheduling jobs and fitting them into the calendar was simple and it kept our customer information well organized. It also made billing and invoicing much easier to stay on top of. Another big plus was that it was simple to learn and use and being mobile friendly meant the whole crew could access it while out in the field.
Cons
A few important features we needed as a landscaping business just were not available which ultimately pushed us to move to another software. Pricing was also part of the reason we decided to switch.

“All-in-one HVAC workflow”
Pros
Right from the start it's been simple to work with and covers a lot of what you need in the HVAC business especially for scheduling, dispatching, invoicing and keeping customer history in one place.

“Easy to train staff”
Pros
The biggest advantage here is how simple everything is. The features are easy to use and training my office staff took very little time or effort.
Cons
I still miss being able to view the full invoice email thread directly in my inbox so I can follow up more easily on sent invoices. For instance, if a customer says they never received one, I'd like to check my sent folder in my email program and resend the original message as proof of when it was sent. It was really useful in our previous software because the customer's reply stayed attached to that same sent email.
