Pros

I really appreciate that the software is tailored specifically to the cleaning business industry! They constantly roll out new features and are open to suggestions for improvements or additions. Their customer support is absolutely incredible and they provide personalized support!

Cons

When I first started using ZenMaid around three years ago, a few features I needed weren't available but they've since introduced those missing capabilities.

Helps us assign tasks

Pros

We're thrilled with ZenMaid because its booking and revenue tracking for our business works brilliantly and we can color-code teams to see how many jobs each has scheduled that day. So when a new lead rings, we can instantly tell which team has capacity to squeeze in one more appointment.

Cons

When we're dispatching cleaners to jobs, a built-in feature that assigns cleaners to each job would speed things up because we publish shifts every week. Also bulk invoicing and bulk dispatching would save us a lot of time.

Pros

Like with any new program, there was a bit of a learning curve for me to work through. When I first started using this app I reached out to the team with some questions and their responses were prompt and genuinely helpful. They've been supportive throughout the process. I also appreciate that the developers understand the industry, regularly look for ways to make things better and actually take user suggestions into account. The calendar feature is crystal clear and has made managing my team and clients much easier. I really love this app.

Cons

There's nothing major I can't handle easily. Occasionally when the team rolls out new features it takes me a minute or two to get used to the changes but they're simple and I usually figure them out quickly. If something still confuses me, I'm comfortable reaching out to the support team for clarification.

Great value for money

Pros

I've found it gives me more bang for my buck than other cleaning software. It's simple to access any document I need without having to call or reach out to someone and the platform is really easy to learn. everything I want is just a click away. They actually listen to customer feedback to improve the software and they're always working on new features.

Cons

When I need help, I can't just call and speak to someone on the phone. Support mainly assists by email and they'll only call me if it's truly a critical issue or something especially important.

Cons

Helps me with scheduling

Pros

Its very easy to figure out and learn. For me, managing clients and the schedule is crucial. You can't grow without a solid client management system. If you skip one you'll not grow.

Cons

I do notice glitches sometimes but every piece of software we rely on has hiccups now and then so it's basically unavoidable. We would love an AI assistant for different tasks.

Such a timesaver

Pros

I've relied on it for more than six years and it's saved me a ridiculous amount of time. I really appreciate the automated email and text reminders and the updated invoice layout is terrific. Overall, it has made my work so much simpler. Would recommend it to all cleaning companies!

Cons

We genuinely enjoy every aspect of it and there's nothing negative to report! Seriously, ZenMaid continually rolls out improvements driven by customer feedback and we really value that commitment.

Made for cleaning businesses

Pros

What I really appreciate about it is that it's built specifically for cleaning companies. I don't have to bend a general-purpose tool to suit our routines as it's already set up to match how we operate. All of our client info, schedules, reminders and messaging are centralized in one spot. It strikes a perfect balance between features and price.

Cons

Although I like the concept and the design, a few parts like invoicing and employee time tracking don't mesh with our country's accounting regulations so I can't rely on those features for day-to-day bookkeeping. It works well in many ways but because the financial workflows don't align with our local requirements, it's been difficult for me to fully fold ZenMaid into my business.

user-friendly app

Pros

Scheduling is very simple and that's been a huge benefit for our business. The app feels user-friendly and significantly reduces the time I spend adding new clients while giving us a searchable client database that stores details like home size, the kind of clean they need and service frequency. I can put notes into a job that cleaners are required to read before an assignment which helps keep everyone informed. It's also easy to mark whether a client was a referral, found us on our website, called the office or emailed so tracking where our leads come from is simple. The automated reminders sent to clients are another big plus. They've helped cut down cancellations and stopped people from forgetting their scheduled appointments.

Cons

Adding notes in the app currently requires me to translate them before saving and that takes both time and money. If a cleaner has their app set to their native language, those notes should ideally auto-translate so we don't have to do the extra work.

easy to set up appointments

Pros

Its not hard to schedule appointments and I can easily set them up. I'm able to message both staff and clients via text and email and I find creating recurring tasks really simple. Setting up clock-in and clock-out is easy as well.

Cons

I've noticed the mobile app runs a bit slow. There are a few features I expect from other platforms that aren't available here and the ability to customize texts and emails feels quite limited.

As the owner of Gentlemen's Cleaning Company, I'm genuinely thrilled with this software. It gives me great value for money and packs a broad set of features that genuinely simplify running our cleaning operation. Their text and email messaging keeps our clients in the loop, form management organizes paperwork and call plus subscription handling helps keep everything organized. Scheduling is effortless, our team can pull up their calendars without issues and whenever I've needed help customer support has been quick and friendly.

Cons

The invoice system does sometimes glitch for me, although most issues are fixed pretty fast. I've also noticed that clock-in and clock-out notifications can arrive late on occasion which has caused a few confusing moments for our team.

GPS tracking feature made us go for it

Pros

In my experience this is the top software available for residential cleaning businesses. The team is very engaged and actually pays attention to client feedback. They welcome customers' suggestions and turn them into practical improvements that expand the platform's functionality. After looking around I couldn't find another product that provides the same level of service. Our cleaners really appreciate the GPS tracking feature and that feature is what ultimately convinced us to choose this solution for my company. They've also regularly delivered added value by rolling out new tools that simplify managing everyday operations.

Cons

I faced some slowdowns with invoice delivery. There were a couple of technical hiccups but the team diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly and they even reimbursed me for the time I lost.

I find the app really simple to handle. everything is centralized and whenever they add new features the whole workflow gets noticeably smoother.

Cons

One annoying issue is that when I cancel or switch a client, the changes don't show up until I manually refresh the page which interrupts my flow. Also, if I have two team members' profiles open on my screen and need to reassign a task, the system sometimes mixes up which person is working on it, forcing me to reload the page repeatedly. Because of these glitches I end up refreshing a lot and everything takes much longer than it should. It also makes training new staff tougher.

Unfortunately I notice that when I mark invoices as paid, they aren't consistently shown as paid across every section and I also can't connect Gusto which I use for payroll.

Scalable solution

I've found ZenMaid to solve many of the challenges I've faced as I increased staff and expanded my company. It's more than just a scheduling tool yet that functionality was the quickest way I reclaimed time from day one. On top of scheduling, a host of other built-in capabilities help my operations run smoother and present a more polished image. Because fellow cleaning company owners created the platform, they understand the little quirks and subtleties of our line of work and the product addresses those issues directly while meeting us where we're at as customers. If a workaround or new feature doesn't exist yet, odds are the team is already developing it. I'm eager to continue growing alongside and contributing to this forward-thinking platform. Really happy to be part of it.

Cons

There's very little about it that bothers me. One feature I really want is built-in mileage tracking in the app and I have a hunch it's already on their roadmap. Another capability I'd love is the option to set communication preferences on each contact card. For instance some clients don't want to receive Service Ratings which forces me to perform a manual step every time (and to remember exactly which customers prefer not to get them so I remember to avoid marking their job as Complete). Allowing individual preference flags would help prevent accidentally bombarding clients with unwanted messages in the future.

exactly what I needed!

Pros

The interface is really easy to use and as a busy businesswoman that's precisely what I need. I tried Maidly and found it complex and not user-friendly. I'm truly so grateful I discovered ZenMaid.

Cons

The biggest annoyance and my only real problem is how difficult it is to modify recurring bookings. When I try to change a recurring appointment just once, it ends up resetting the whole series and from what I can tell there isn't a way around it. To fix it I have to delete the customer entirely, then add them back into contacts and recreate the recurring schedule which is a real pain.
