Highly recommended!

Pros

I've been using this software for many years and watched the company expand. They really focus on each customer's needs. The program is simple enough that even someone with minimal tech skills like me can grasp it. Best of all, every person on the ZenMaid team has been helpful in every possible way. The staff consistently go above and beyond. I wholeheartedly recommend both the software and the company.

Cons

One feature I'd like to see added is a way to plot a new customer's location into the existing roster so I can find the optimal spot for them on my current schedule of clients.

Great ease of use

Pros

Finding everything staff need for their work is simple and that ease makes my day-to-day so much smoother. I also love that it automatically keeps clients in the loop and sends reminders to both customers and our team which has honestly been a game changer for me and my business. The interface's clean, simple design and the way it feels to use are huge pluses. After trying several scheduling systems, I can say functionality is crucial but it stands out because it's by far the easiest to use and actually pleasant to look at.

Cons

It would help if everyone on the team could tell whether someone has already hit the 'on the way' button so we don't accidentally tap it multiple times. I'm frequently worried that the same status gets sent more than once. Another big improvement I'd love to see is the ability for staff to upload photos straight from their phones when they find damaged or misplaced items so we can document issues immediately. Finally, adding a feature to upload mandatory checklists that employees must tick off before they can clock out would save us from chasing paper forms everywhere and keep things much more organized.

Cons

Appreciate the design

Pros

I really appreciate the layout and design. There are several ways to view the schedule. Overall it's pretty easy to use.

Cons

It'd be great if the 'remember me' feature actually worked on desktop computers. Additionally, a true 'stay signed in' choice would be useful and I would also like the website to keep me logged in on mobile devices. I don't generally use the mobile app much except when I'm trying to take a quick peek at the day's appointments so persistent sign-in for the browser matters for how I work. Beyond that, having an option to store or attach photos within the platform would be really cool and would help with job documentation. One more functionality I miss is a standalone 'clock in' and 'clock out' system that doesn't tie to scheduled appointments because I pay drive time and it's way easier for me to have team members clock in at the start of the day, clock out for lunch, clock back in afterwards, then clock out at the end of the day. For that reason I'm currently using Tsheets to track these punches.

Wonderful reminder and calendar feature

Pros

I find it extremely user-friendly and my team loves the reminders and calendar.

Cons

No real complaints. Any downside comes from me not having enough time to explore all of its features.

Saves money and time

Pros

One of the best parts is being able to monitor almost every metric I need to keep an eye on. It's cut my payroll expenses by thousands and has saved me hundreds of hours each month by answering techs' questions right on their phones so I don't have to.

Cons

I wish there were options to adjust the payroll module to our setup. We work with contractors instead of traditional employees and ZenMaid doesn't let me switch that setting. I would also love a built-in mass-email tool so I could blast messages to fill slow days or promote specials for particular dates or win back lost customers without jumping into another application. Frederick.com shows exactly the sort of feature I'd like to see added.

Satisfied with Zenmaid

Pros

What I really appreciate is that the customer support team, they answer my questions within hours and that kind of responsiveness is unbeatable. Since I started using it, I've felt so happy and relieved because it has removed so much guesswork and given me back significant free time in my life overall.

Cons

Since I'm running a very small and still-growing business right now, the monthly cost feels a bit high but I'm prepared to cover it because I genuinely love the software. I just make sure the payment is taken care of consistently.

easy to figure out

Pros

I'm impressed by how simple it was to pick up and how simple it makes tweaking our schedule. I also really appreciate that they frequently roll out new features which consistently help me manage and grow my business more effectively.

Cons

Sometimes the app acts up and ends up altering items that I never intended it to save which can be frustrating when I'm trying to keep everything accurate.

Managing my business from home has become much more orderly and efficient. everything I require is consolidated in one spot which frees up additional time so I can enjoy what I genuinely love doing.

Helpful tutorials

Pros

Made our transition to credit cards smooth

Pros

My job has become much simpler. Scheduling and bookings are easy now. We accept credit cards and ZenMaid eased that switch tremendously for our whole team.

Cons

I run into glitches occasionally. I've had to revisit settings to confirm that items like confirmation emails, reminders and work order texts/emails are actually going out. There was a time when the system stopped sending those notifications and I had to go back in and re-check the appropriate boxes inside the program to ensure the messages would be delivered. Beyond these hiccups, I'm really fond of the software!

Lets staff see their shifts

Pros

It's really userfriendly and I can easily look ahead at schedules beyond the current week. Setting up the calendar was simple, the booking workflow runs smoothly and my staff can quickly see their shifts, clock in and out and pull up directions.

Cons

We sometimes have trouble quickly accessing a customer's past cleaning history which can be frustrating. Also billing doesn't play nicely with our New York operations because sales tax varies by county and that causes issues.
