“Good customer service”
Pros
Having everything in one place is a big plus and I really appreciate how much control I have over what I see and how I use the system. I've rolled out several of the added modules, including Compensation, Performance and Enhanced Time and the implementation specialists have consistently been very supportive throughout the process.
Cons
One frustration is not really knowing whether the feedback we share is being fully understood. It would be reassuring to know the development team has actually worked as end users of the product so they can better understand the reasons behind our input. For instance, the PIP functionality feels poorly designed and very backward in the way it works. We'd like to use it but we're holding off until it gets improved in a future update.

“loved the automated processes”
Pros
Our team's time card and payroll work became much more automated with this system. It also gives managers a reliable way to stay on top of PTO requests and employees can complete their time cards right from their phones which is really convenient.
Cons
The only downside was that the initial setup took a bit of time especially when configuring payroll calculations to match our three-shift schedule, holiday rules and overtime policies.

“accessible employee profiles”
Pros
Using the software has been a really positive experience because everything feels very accessible and easy. The way employee profiles are organized into separate sections like the "Pay profile" makes it simple to go directly to the information you need without having to dig through too much at once.
Cons
There really is not anything I dislike about it. The only minor frustration is having to wait on hold whenever I need assistance.

“all HR data in one place”
Pros
Having employment, payroll and benefits information all housed in one system is a big plus. It's also really helpful to be able to build and run reports using any of that data whenever needed.
Cons
Biggest frustration is how frequently updates and upgrades happen without enough advance communication and they often don't seem tested thoroughly enough to catch the problems they create. We'll finally get a process working well and then an update comes in and breaks part of it or adds extra steps that weren't there before. Another downside is that since the software is web-based, performance really depends on internet connectivity. If the connection isn't strong even simple lookups or changes can take much longer than they should. I also get timed out and have to log back in and start over which is frustrating even if I understand it's probably there for security reasons.

“user friendly navigation”
Pros
Getting around the system feels very accessible and training new hires on it doesn't take much time. There are also several ways to reach the section you need which makes navigation flexible and convenient.
Cons
The preferences I set don't always stick. For instance I prefer viewing all employees at all times but the system keeps switching back to showing only active employees.

“Great software”
Pros
Everything being in one place has been a big plus with this tool. It lets us keep all company information together for employees and the automation with our other applications works really well. Another feature I appreciate is the mobile app since it gives employees who do not use a computer a way to access what they need.
Cons
The part I struggle with is the reporting setup. Reports come in zipped files and that makes them frustrating to open when you do not have the right application.

“helpful updates keep coming”
Pros
They keep rolling out new features on a regular basis and those updates have made my day-to-day work a lot easier.
Cons
During the 2015 to 2016 implementation period, we dealt with quite a few issues but things have improved a lot since then.

“responsive support”
Pros
One of the best parts of using the software has been the level of support available. The Account Manager feature introduced over the last year has been especially helpful. Whenever a payroll, HR or Time & Attendance issue comes up, it's been quick and easy to get the right help right away.
Cons
There were some problems at the beginning when the provider first launched the ACA software. It didn't work properly for our company at first so we had to rely on an outside program to handle our 1095-C forms. Since then though, they've resolved the bugs and the ACA module is now working perfectly.

“reliable payroll every time”
Pros
When payroll submission day comes around, it consistently handles exactly what it's supposed to do. I can honestly say it's been very reliable.
Cons
At times, when the provider makes changes to the software in an effort to organize things, it can actually make certain features harder to locate.

“updated features that keep improving”
Pros
The platform keeps getting updated on a regular basis so it consistently delivers the latest functionality.
Cons
One frustration is that while the provider clearly puts a lot of effort into keeping the software current for employers, they do not do a very good job of communicating those updates to clients. Because of that, many features roll out without proper training. On top of that, most of the training is online and not very easy to locate within the support system. They also rely on a product called The Bridge and tend to direct users there for peer support. Personally, if a company is charging for its product, it should be the primary source of support before sending customers elsewhere.

“familiar platform”
Pros
Because the software is used almost everywhere, the learning curve is usually pretty small since most people already have at least some experience with it. The interface has improved a lot over the years and feels much more user friendly now. I also appreciate that the software keeps adding features and capabilities that are actually useful instead of piling on flashy extras that don't really help.
Cons
A few tasks still have to be handled by the provider on the back end which can be limiting at times. Their initial response time is much better than it used to be but even then some fixes that seem pretty easy can still take longer than expected.

“comprehensive HR and payroll space”
Pros
Having HR and payroll in one comprehensive system has been really valuable and it makes it fairly simple to pull reports on important metrics when needed.
Cons
The ongoing system setup can feel inconvenient at times and getting help from customer service is often difficult because they seem overloaded with calls every day.

“benefits enrollment done right!”
Pros
One feature that's been especially valuable in the software is the Benefits module. It makes employee benefits enrollment very easy and everything gets completed on time with the information sent over to our vendors accurately. That has made billing much simpler on our end and helps keep our records correct. When it's used together with Wage Works, the entire benefits process feels fully covered from start to finish.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints about the Benefits side. I'm very satisfied with both it and Wage Works.

“helpful once trained”
Pros
With the right amount of training, the system becomes easy to navigate and use.
Cons
Biggest challenge is that there still isn't enough training and the reporting tools can be difficult to work with which may also come back to the lack of guidance. It's also frustrating when the provider rolls out software updates without any notice or training ahead of time.

“fast payroll previews”
Pros
The payroll preview reports come through really fast which helps me catch any needed corrections and get everything submitted a lot quicker.
Cons
Time and attendance has been a bit frustrating especially when moving into the next pay period. I've also had terminated employees still showing up as needing manager approvals and I'm not really a fan of the date mapping.

“flexible features”
Pros
The compensation module has been really useful and the online benefits enrollment works well. I also appreciate being able to customize the different profiles to fit our needs. The dedicated customer service team has been a big plus and the ongoing upgrades show they're always looking for more efficient ways to improve the system.
Cons

“pay stubs and time-off convenience”
Pros
Being able to pull up and print old pay statements and past W-2s is really useful. It also handles time-off requests well since supervisors can approve them without much hassle. Another plus is that employees can quickly check their available time-off balances right from their personal page.
Cons
Reporting tools are pretty hard to work with. It would help a lot if there were a preview showing what a report will look like before choosing it so it's clearer what filters are needed or whether a different report makes more sense. Customizing reports feels like trial and error until you get used to it. I usually end up experimenting with the report settings just to learn how to make the reporting feature more manageable.

“Clear layout”
Pros
Getting around from one section to another feels very easy. Each area shows plenty of useful information which really helps since I do not have to keep jumping across multiple parts of the system to find what I need.
Cons
The session times out much too fast. Another frustration is searching for an archived item in the Message Center: when I open a record and then hit back, it sends me all the way to the start of the search instead of returning me to the previous screen for that specific record.

“responsive updates and smarter workflows”
Pros
Over time, the provider has clearly put a lot of effort into adding new features that make the HRIS system more accessible to use and better for day-to-day workflow. They're also good about listening to customer feedback and, when possible, turning user suggestions into actual improvements.
Cons
Something I'd still like to see is a bit more flexibility when setting up the Resources pages.

“wide range of tools”
Pros
The software brings together a wide range of HR tools including talent management which makes posting jobs, accepting applications and handling resumes very easy. The reporting options are extensive and the payroll features also help the company provide employees with self service tools so they can handle more on their own.
Cons
It would be much better if reports could be created independently with less effort. It would also be very helpful if all government-required reports were available in one consistent format since that would make things easier for any company using it.
