“Pretty decent”
Pros
Having HR benefits, timekeeping and payroll all connected in one portal has been a big improvement. It used to require logging into three separate systems so having everything together is much more convenient. I also really appreciate that the integrations come with their own connection files and some of the information transfers over right away.
Cons
An issue I've noticed is with employees who transfer and work in a different province. If the same employee record is reused, the worked-in province does not always update correctly unless a new employee number is created.

“Great for payroll”
Pros
Whether the company is very small or much larger, this platform handles payroll and benefits really well. It also lets you keep up with employee attendance, sick time, leave and similar records without much trouble. The self service portal is a nice feature because employees can take care of certain tasks on their own and admins can still step in to approve things if that's the preferred process. Setup is easy, daily use is manageable, customer support has been solid when needed and mobile access is a big advantage.
Cons
One frustration is that system updates sometimes change the workflow more than necessary which can make routine tasks harder than before. It can also be a bit slow to load at times.

“simple and convenient”
Pros
Handling payroll and time tracking really doesn't get much more convenient than this. The app makes everything accessible and using the desktop version to make changes is just as easy. Whenever something comes up, customer support is available and helpful!
Cons
The email alerts could be a little more customizeed to each person's specific needs.

“my thoughts”
Pros
Having them handle our source deduction remittances and prepare the T4s at year-end takes a big task off our plate. It also helps keep payroll more confidential since it isn't tied directly into our general accounting software.
Cons
Reporting side doesn't work especially well for our needs. We have monthly RRSP and extended health remittances that need to go to providers and pulling the numbers I need usually means running several reports and doing extra calculations myself.

“app clock-in and pay clarity”
Pros
Being able to clock in right from the app is something I really appreciate. It also lets you view a detailed breakdown of your pay and the hours you've worked during each pay period which is really helpful.
Cons
I don't have many complaints but one thing I didn't like was the bi-monthly pay. Getting paid only on the 7th and 26th felt like too much time between checks. In my opinion they should stick to weekly or biweekly pay options instead.

“reports stall and approvals glitch”
Pros
One thing it does well is reporting: you can build reports with a lot of specific customization. It also integrates very well with our accounting software (Sage300) which has been a real advantage.
Cons
The problem is that report processing often doesn't work the way it should. I'd set up a report and it would just sit in "processing" without ever finishing. Approving hours is also glitchy. After making hour adjustments in the group timecard, a triangle would appear next to those employees and I'd have to refresh the webpage before I could approve their hours. It feels very redundant.

“helpful support”
Pros
Using this software feels pretty easy and accessible so getting around it doesn't take much effort. Whenever questions come up or something isn't working right, the customer support team especially My Life Advisor, has consistently been available and helpful.
Cons
A frustrating part is that the login process can be unreliable at times. You really have to save the correct login page as a bookmark because searching for it on Google can easily lead you to the wrong link. The look of the page could also use some improvement since the interface feels a bit cold and visually outdated.

“reliable onboarding”
Pros
Payroll setup and processing have worked really well and the new hire onboarding tools are solid. Handling year-end tax forms is convenient, PII security feels dependable and the cloud-based setup makes the system accessible and highly available when needed.
Cons
Paystubs older than 36 months can't be downloaded. I'm not sure whether that restriction comes from the software itself or from a policy my organization has in place.

“reporting hurdles and support roadblocks”
Pros
The employee-facing interface is clear and easy to use.
Cons
From the admin side though, building reports is nearly impossible unless you sit through multiple training sessions and webinars. And even after all that, reporting still feels far more complicated than it should be for practitioners and admin users to actually make good use of it. On top of that the organization feels extremely bureaucratic to the point that even technical support seems confused by their own access-control process. The person responsible for this at my company left in March 2021 and I took over after her. Since then I still regularly run into problems when calling support because they refuse to help, saying I'm not on the list of "authorized users." Every single time, I have to repeat the whole situation, waste a lot of time explaining it and then they eventually conclude that I wasn't added to some specific list. It's incredibly frustrating.

“Excellent HR software!”
Pros
Mobile app and the calendar/scheduling tools have been really useful! As a remote employee, communicating with HR feels very simple and organized through the platform.
Cons
At times certain tabs feel tucked away or harder to locate than they should be. There are also a few too many subcategories and the homepage UI could use an update to feel a bit more user friendly.

“user review”
Pros
Being able to keep up with hours, weekly pay stubs, 401k, PTO and pull my W-2 digitally at the end of the year has been one of the most useful parts.
Cons
One thing to watch out for is that the platform comes in different versions and plan levels so when you switch jobs the features may not be the same. Since not every company pays for the same package, adjusting to a new setup can be frustrating.

“clean layout, annoying login issues”
Pros
The interface looks polished and I can always find the information I need without any trouble. Everything is organized clearly and presented in a way that's simple to read.
Cons
Getting into the system can be frustrating. The MFA setup seems to have some problems and I also get the sense there are features our company probably isn't using to their full potential. Since I only log in once in a while to check pay or benefits, usually only when something seems off, I end up having to reset my password almost every time after a few months. It would help a lot if there were notifications whenever a pay stub is posted, just as a reminder to log in now and then and review things. Fixing the password reset bugs would also make a big difference.

“So accessible”
Pros
Using this software has been pretty easy since I can access it from my phone, ipad or computer whenever I need to. The layout is simple enough to move through without feeling complicated and I'm always able to pull up my pay stubs and W-2s when I need them.
Cons
Its inconvenient to have to reset my password if I haven't logged in for a couple of months. I usually check my pay stub twice a month but if I go a longer stretch without signing in, that extra reset step can be a hassle.

“My recommendation”
Pros
Does a really good job of keeping all employee details in one place especially payroll, time and labor, vacation balances and visibility into the organizational structure. One feature I value a lot is being able to access tax forms from several previous years.
Cons
There are times when it loads a bit slowly which can be frustrating. Even with that I would still recommend the software.

“love the payroll flexibility”
Pros
After researching and trying different payroll and HR platforms, this has been the clear favorite for us! We have no plans to switch to anything else. We were even able to bring our accounts payable into the system and use it to direct deposit payments to our customers which has been a huge plus. The Direct Deposit feature is especially useful because employees can update it on their own including splitting their paycheck into as many as four different accounts. On top of that there are extra perks through Life Mart, like discounts on hotels, rental cars, cell service and other specials from various businesses. We ab solutely love this!
Cons
Honestly I haven't come across anything about the software that I dislike.
