ApplicantStack Honest Review

Pros

I had a fantastic experience using ApplicantStack. It helped us attract numerous candidates and once you get the hang of it, it is incredibly easy to use. Sorting options are wonderful, and I appreciate the ability to personalize messages for different recruitment needs.

Cons

I have no significant issues or dislikes. However, it would be helpful to track stage progression in reporting and search candidates by phone number. Also, emails sometimes end up in spam folders, causing communication issues.

Easy to use ATS

Pros

ApplicantStack is extremely easy to set up and use. We were able to get an account and create a job post within minutes. There are a lot of features to help customize your hiring processes and the system is generally very flexible.

Cons

ApplicantStack doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of other ATS software. However, if you are just looking to create a few requisitions and don't need the fluff, ApplicantStack is an easy-to-use affordable option.

quick setup and very flexible

Pros

setup was quick so we had our account ready and jobs posted within minutes. There are so many ways to customize the hiring workflows and that flexibility is a lifesaver for making it work for our specific needs.

Cons

It might not have every single advanced feature that other systems have but it works perfectly if you're just handling basic job posts and don't need all the extra bells and whistles.

automates hiring, onboarding costs extra

Pros

This tool automates the whole process of collecting candidates and sending them to our hiring managers. The customization options are endless which is awesome. Yeah it takes time to master everything and getting the application forms just right takes some work upfront but the amount of time it saves us later makes it totally worth the initial effort.

Cons

I tried out the new onboarding section but I couldn't really get it to work. It costs extra and needs more time than I have right now so I'm going to wait before I buy that part.

game-changing knockout questions, lacks job refresh feature

Pros

The knockout questions are a total game-changer! They automatically filter out anyone who doesn't meet our basic requirements saving me hours of sifting through resumes.

Cons

It's really annoying that there's no easy way to refresh job postings. I'd love a simple button that automatically bumps my jobs back to the top of the list after a few days.

smooth applicant tracking with initial learning curve

Pros

I have been using this for three years now and it just makes tracking applicants and getting them onboarded so smooth. I'm still impressed by the customer service, the fair price and how easy it is to find my way around.

Cons

Finding specific things can be confusing when you're starting out. I really wish there were some step-by-step tutorials for beginners. Its difficult to use if you're new to this.

one click job posting everywhere

Pros

The interface is user friendly. I love how simple it is to post a job opening on our website, Indeed and Glassdoor all at once. It's also a huge time-saver that I can set up other users to see the same job posts so I don't have to manually forward resumes to hiring managers anymore.

Cons

It took me a little while to learn since the layout isn't obvious at first but once I got used to it, I found it much easier to get around.

easy to post, limited customization

Pros

it connects so easily with job boards like Indeed and LinkedIn. It makes posting jobs a total smooth process.

Cons

It is frustrating when we want to change how things look on our website or the application but we have to ask applicantstack to do it for us instead of just being able to adjust it ourselves.

best for tracking past applicants

Pros

I rely on this a lot for keeping track of applicants. It's especially handy when we re-hire someone who applied before. It just handles so many different things for me.

Cons

I haven't run into any problems at all, it's been handling everything I need without any issues.

good value but support is slow

Pros

I've been a recruiter for years and have tried a bunch of different systems. This one is definitely the best value for your money.

Cons

The customer support could be a lot better. Even though I'm usually good with this kind of software, this one isn't the easiest to figure out and it's frustrating when you can't get help when you need it.

user friendly but search is frustrating

Pros

I find it easy to use. Adding all the details I need to keep applicants organized and sorted is really simple.

Cons

searching is so annoying. Like, why can't I just type a name and hit enter? and the texting feature doesn't show read receipts so I have no idea if anyone's even seen my messages. The reports are kinda basic too.

excellent for tasks, email overload

Pros

setting up tasks for new hires and having automatic reminders sent out has been a game-changer. Having all our onboarding stuff in one spot makes the whole process way smoother.

Cons

Took me a while to find my way around. Also the email spam when you create tasks is insane. I wish I could turn just those off without muting all emails.

Reasonable cost but reports are limited

Pros

Getting it set up was simple and we didn't have to do any fancy integration work which saved us time. The price is fair and works for our budget.

Cons

The reporting feels limited. I really need better filters to make the data actually useful for me.

all-in-one platform but texting is extra money

Pros

The interface is very interactive and user friendly. I love that both recruiting and onboarding are in one place and I can handle everything from the first application all the way to getting a new hire settled.

Cons

Having to pay extra for texting is the worst. Now we have to use a separate app for that and all our candidate info is split between two places. It's a mess to keep track of.

Ideal for growing companies

Pros

It helps me stay on top of everything and keeps my team organized. This tool is perfect for newer businesses that aren't huge but still need good systems. As a small company, I'm always looking for affordable ways to manage our team and compete with bigger companies without looking small.

Cons

Honestly I haven't find anything I don't like yet. It's been smooth to use.

Why would you use ApplicantStack?

Pros

I can not think of a single reason not to choose applicantStack when there are so many options available.

Cons

The service was lacking, particularly regarding data export. I was told there would be a fee to generate a report for my data.
