“fits staffing firm needs
Pros
We chose Avionte because it genuinely fits the needs of a staffing firm like ours. Over time, we've managed to go completely paperless and keep uncovering ways to organize workflows which has cut down the time and people needed for data handling. Because development efforts were concentrated on the newer product though, the legacy core application can feel annoying and often needs long, multi-step procedures to finish tasks such as onboarding. A gap between the core system and the web-based tools has at times left users puzzled. Customer service and our account manager have been responsive and helpful, while support hasn't always delivered the same level of usefulness. Having been behind on innovation for a period, the company appears to be course-correcting and I think the new feature set has the potential to align well with evolving industry technology and trends.
Cons
Support can be slow to respond on non-urgent matters and the team handling those tickets isn't always equipped with the knowledge or creativity to propose workarounds for process gaps or operational changes. Reporting is particularly frustrating because it's overly complex we often have to stitch together multiple queries and export data just to pull basic, key metrics. Additionally the absence of a powerful API is a real pain point and limits our ability to integrate and automate.

“Lifecycle coverage done right but restrictive AR and outdated ACA
Pros
I like that Avionte covers the entire lifecycle. I can move candidates from applicant tracking straight through hiring, run payroll and invoice clients without switching systems.
Cons
I've run into several limitations that frustrate me: there's no open API to integrate easily with other tools. The Accounts Receivable area is restrictive, it won't let me build a single invoice with multiple line items or add free-text comments in A/R unless the invoice is generated automatically from time entry or payroll. I also can't issue customer refunds through A/R and payroll won't accept a negative deduction to return amounts previously withheld. Finally, the ACA tracking features feel out of date and need upgrading.

“Task management made easy
Pros
It is easy to switch between employee and customer profiles and I also appreciate that our notes are automatically tagged with precise dates and timestamps.
Cons
Sometimes the app locks or freezes and other times I find that notes I've typed don't show up for two to three days.

“organization is easier now
Pros
I really like that it offers a broad selection of ways to log messages and update files, having multiple options to record communications and make file changes makes it much easier for me to keep everything organized.
Cons
On the downside I find the interface can be difficult to navigate at times. I'd love it if the system automatically toggled an employee's status between Active and Working when they are assigned to or finish a job because right now that's something I have to do manually. Also when I enter an end date for an employee's assignment within the same week they're still being paid, the program kicks them out of the payroll batch so I end up waiting until payroll has been processed before I can add the end date.

“Smooth after migration
Pros
We can use the software from any location that has an internet connection. Also the platform includes comprehensive billing, payroll and tax tools along with its front-office capabilities. Moreover I find the payroll tax component to be outstanding. That feature matters a great deal because our operations are in a state with both city and school district taxes.
Cons
Our current release performs poorly on smartphones and tablets right now. Fortunately an updated version scheduled for release in July is expected to fix these mobile compatibility problems.

“Accounting made easier
Pros
For both our front- and back-office operations, we rely on Avionte every day. I find the interface very user-friendly and it stores every piece of information we need to run daily tasks smoothly. On top of that the reporting features are fantastic. I pull reports each day to monitor our recruiters and track our employees' statuses.
Cons
One improvement I'd like to see is a proper back button and an easier way to switch between screens. Right now navigation can feel buggy. I also notice that the ticketing system can be slow at times, with support responses taking longer than expected.

“solid candidate and client tracking
Pros
In my experience it provides a solid selection of tools for monitoring candidate and staff histories. It also keeps every client detail on file, from invoices to payment records. I find the interface simple to use and appreciate the extensive set of features it includes.
Cons
I would like more flexibility with the email templates because I've struggled to get them to behave and often end up composing messages outside the system instead of sending them directly through the app.

From my perspective the Front Office and Back Office work together smoothly and I appreciate that integration.
Cons
That said I find the Core App's search for keyword skills to be lacking and it could use better functionality.

“Front-end layout and reports accessible, cross-branch visibility buggy
Pros
I'm impressed with the front-end layout and how simple it is to find the information I need. I also appreciate the wide range of reports available and how easy it is to access them whenever I need data.
Cons
What really frustrates me is that I can't view employees, candidates, or customers who are assigned to a different 'branch' unless I switch my branch selection in the settings to that specific branch. For example, when I'm processing an order, it becomes an issue if an applicant from branch 'A' has applied to a position in my branch, 'B', I won't see that applicant unless I have branch 'A' actively chosen in my settings. To avoid this, I try to remain focused within my own branch because our company manages thousands of applicants and a very large number of work orders overall. If I turn on visibility for all branches in my settings it clutters my screen and significantly slows me down when I'm trying to pull up information that pertains only to my branch. Ideally, there would be a way to surface cross-branch applicants or relevant records for active orders without having to switch branches and overload my workspace.

“smooth integrations embedded on site
Pros
We really like how smooth the integrations are, everything gets embedded into our site so our temporary workers can sign up and run through the entire application right from our website without having to go somewhere else.
Cons
Because the platform doesn't work on Macs our company has to jump through hoops and rely on a remote desktop app that's riddled with bugs and problems. Until Avionte becomes fully web-based and runs in the browser, our setup will remain laggy and much less efficient.

Pros
In my experience their customer service is easily among the best I've encountered in this sector. They respond incredibly fast and pay close attention when urgent issues pop up and I'm genuinely impressed that their development team consistently turns out new reports, import tools and other features on a quick cadence.
Cons
A few fundamental features we had assumed would be available weren't there on day one which was frustrating at first but the Avionte development team has worked closely with us to methodically address and remove those gaps one at a time.

“poor support and bad experience

What I do like is that Avionte handles both front-office and back-office functions in one system which originally drew me to the platform but honestly that's about the only feature I find noteworthy.
Cons
We signed up mainly because Avionte combined front-office and back-office in a single product yet that's where the upside ended for me. The platform felt glitchy and slow, constantly throwing error messages and showing little appetite for innovation. When problems came up, support typically took around 30 days to address them, I couldn't upload screenshots here or I would have shared my long list of support tickets. After putting up with this for a while I moved our operations to Bullhorn. Per our agreement, all the data we entered, including employee files, was supposed to remain our company's property but Avionte simply dropped everything into an FTP site. I've heard from other vendors and ATS providers that Avionte has a reputation for being unprofessional and uncooperative during data migrations and our experience matched that. They effectively withheld about 5,700 employee files, I-9s, handbook acknowledgments, safety forms, onboarding documents and more. It turned out there was a bug in Avionte's core app that failed to generate some e-docs as PDFs. For about 30 days I called every other day and got no real resolution. Finally I told them I would involve legal counsel, only then did the account manager, her boss and the CTO reach out and say generating the PDFs would be difficult, handing me an SQL query to locate the non-PDF e-docs instead. Bullhorn considered that response unacceptable and when I asked Avionte to produce the PDFs it was still inadequate, leaving us to sort through a frustrating mess.

Pros
I find Avionte really easy to use because the interface is simple to navigate and I can quickly get a full 360-degree snapshot of an employee's record when I need it.
Cons
Some of my team have struggled with Avionte's basic reporting tools and I often have to step in to help them because the features feel unsimple.

Pros
With a scanner available, I was able to store every applicant's documents in a single location and I could also jot down notes about any candidate as needed.
Cons
I found the job-posting interface confusing, the search tool often didn't work well, the reports were poor and search results frequently sorted people incorrectly when I was searching.

The process of adding new hire users into the actual system is really simple and easy to follow which makes onboarding simpler and quicker.
Cons
