“I love Avionte as it's the best !
Pros
I've found Avionte to be excellent for recruiting as it lets us send mass texts efficiently, keep all our clients and candidates perfectly organized and build powerful pipelines all within a single unified system. Having everything in one place allows us to recruit and market to associates the right way: strategically, personally and at scale without ever losing the human touch.
Cons
At first I found it difficult to use and learn.. it took me quite a while to figure things out but eventually I got the hang of it and had it working for me.

“Most frustrating CRM experience ever
Pros
Honestly the only upside I can point to is that the support team gets back to you quickly but sadly their hands seem tied when it comes to fixing anything substantial. The platform feels inflexible, overpriced and almost entirely lacking in customization unless you're willing to pay exorbitant fees. It's essentially a one-size-fits-all product masquerading as something adaptable. The worst part is they hide a three-year commitment deep in linked terms which can lock you in before you even realize it. Having built my own platform previously this has been the single most disappointing experience I've encountered and I genuinely regret signing up.
Cons
I would avoid this platform at all costs. It promises more than it delivers and then charges premium rates for even the most basic customization. At first they persuaded me that flexibility and customizable options were part of the package but in practice it's a rigid, cookie-cutter system with very limited functionality unless you fork out a lot more money for add-ons. To make matters worse they lock you into a three-year contract hidden inside small print linked in the terms which felt like a trap when I discovered it. The platform also has baseline requirements yet it still fails to meet those and doesn't offer reliable performance. Before this I built a custom platform from scratch so I'm speaking from experience when I say this has been the worst tool I've used. I feel misled, trapped and deeply disappointed. In short their so-called solutions are just templates and this whole experience was a total waste of my time and money.

“Great profiles, poor support
Pros
Really I liked the candidate profile page, it was neatly organized, included a candidate photo and had all the essential details I needed. The sole reason we moved away from Avionte was their poor internal support and their tendency not to act on any feedback or concerns our team raised.
Cons
Speaking purely as a user I had a positive experience with Avionte and would recommend it to others. That said when I think about it from an admin or business-owner standpoint I feel it would be quite frustrating to rely on Avionte to run a company.

“avoid at all costs
Pros
Honestly I can't find anything redeeming about this service, it's overpriced and they raised my fees halfway through the contract. The back-office interface feels stuck in a Windows Vista-era design and the login procedure is painfully slow because it depends on remote sessions and a long verification routine. Worst of all they pour resources into adding pointless new features instead of improving usability and overall efficiency.
Cons
Frankly I wouldn't recommend working with this software company. I was able to find alternatives that offer much better functionality for a tiny fraction of the cost.

“mediocre core modules and awful external integration
Pros
I've noticed the company really locks down the database you create even though it's essentially your IP making integrations with other applications a real hassle. If you'd prefer storing your applicants' information in a sealed container that other software might never access then Avionte could suit you..
Cons
In my opinion the core modules are only mediocre, they don't add anything unique that other vendors in this market can't already provide. My experience trying to connect Avionte to external systems like ADP WFN has been awful. Because an open API isn't offered I found the company generally unresponsive and at times openly obstructive when I requested data or guidance to build cross-platform links. I've been pushing for integration support for roughly six months now and despite ongoing efforts it feels like there's been no meaningful progress compared with half a year ago.

Pros
This system records employees hours smoothly by linking with our existing clock in/out hardware and its wonderfully simple for both managers and staff to operate. The interface feels smooth, approvals are simple and it keeps everyone on the same page without the usual hassle or confusion.

“slow post-implementation support
Pros
I get a lot of reports out of the box and the system overall feels somewhat customizable enough.
Cons
The biggest problem we've had with the platform is the slow post-implementation support which ultimately forced us to replatform. To get help I first have to open a ticket through their support portal but if I want someone to actually review it within a reasonable timeframe I end up having to call the desk. Lately tickets sit for days to weeks without any updates even after they're escalated.

“stay far away and thank me later
Pros
Honestly the name drew me in at first but the reality has been a nightmare. The software is painfully slow and glitchy and far too many features don't work the way they claim they do. Customer support hasn't actually listened to what my team needs, they simply push back like there isn't a real issue to solve. On top of that it's ridiculous how many clicks are required just to place a call to a candidate which makes basic tasks unnecessarily tedious. After only two months with Avionte I can honestly say this was the worst business decision I've ever made and I'm embarrassed that we switched. They tack on charges for every little add-on beyond the monthly bill and it feels like absolutely no effort is made to provide upgrades or changes. I really regret not checking this review board before buying in. Productivity across my team has dropped by about 25% and I feel like tearing my hair out.

“All-in-one, not simple
Pros
What I appreciate most is that I can handle everything from a single platform. Employee records, job assignments, background checks and time tracking are all centralized so I don't have to switch between systems.
Cons
It's a bit tricky to figure out and handle some functions in the back-office area where we process payroll. I've run into a number of problems getting PTO set up and keeping it managed, plus there have been several customization needs that were difficult to implement. Customer support, however, has been fantastic. In my opinion, the training resources could use improvement.

Pros

Cons
Honestly I've spent a huge amount of time filing support tickets because the online application which I liked the most, still doesn't function properly. “Not for niche recruiters and pricey
Pros
So far in my experience I find Avionte to be a decent option for corporate recruiting. What I appreciate most is how simple it is to learn and use. The interface reminds me of a Microsoft Outlook layout with hierarchical trees and dropdown menus. After a fair amount of customization I was able to map our processes into it. Having both front and back-office tools available in one system is handy and the reporting features are solid.
Cons
Avionte doesn't feel worth the price. They've been developing a web-based version for years yet it's still not fully functional which forced me to juggle between the server and the web platforms at the same time. The software often feels dated and support responses can be slow. I'm also regularly hit with extra charges for customization requests that would improve basic usability.

Pros
In my experience the interface is simple enough that even the most tech-challenged member of my team can navigate it without help.
Cons
At my company we're still on Avionte Classic which feels incredibly outdated. I keep hoping for improvements and they claim Avionte Bold is coming so we'll have to wait and see if that actually makes a difference but honestly Bold has been promised for ages. Pros
Managing the large roster of clients I oversee.. I can quickly locate and zero in on the specific candidate I'm working with. The interface is simple and I find it simple to access every client's details in just a couple of clicks. Overall I appreciate how user-friendly it feels when I'm juggling many accounts.
Cons
Finding and understanding errors especially why a client's name is flagged has been frustrating for me since the reasons aren't clearly shown. Some of the daily buttons I rely on are awkward to navigate out of and I often don't know the correct steps to take. Additionally pulling reports is something I struggle to remember how to do and there aren't many helpful guides or in-app help sections to walk me through these tasks.

I find Avionte excellent for permanent hiring workflows and I really like its customizable dashboard because most of our team can easily monitor the items that matter most to them.

“powerful search and reporting
Pros
I appreciate how powerful the search features are and I rely on them all the time. Being able to run searches that locate people assigned to different staffing representatives by selecting specific statuses makes finding relevant records simple. It really helps me pull up all of my applicants or narrow down to particular groups so I can keep an eye on our applicants' progress. The reporting tools are also incredibly handy, I can put together a report quickly that matches what I need and the layout is very self-explanatory. Another advantage is the flexibility to move columns around in searches, shifting fields like status, Employee ID, or last contact date lets me focus on the information I need and filter out what I don't. I also appreciate that everything exports cleanly to Excel without fuss. For comfort, I change the system color and prefer the darker theme because it is easier on my eyes.
Cons
Too often the system freezes and that becomes really frustrating for me since interruptions happen frequently and slow down my work more than I'd expect.

“High functionality with rough edges
Pros
What I really appreciate about this software is that it handles my background checks, monitors a team's applicant load and status and reliably stores data while also serving as a platform our payroll and sales teams can use with clients. Once you're familiar with the program's quirks I now find that I can work very efficiently.
Cons
Access to certain features in this software could be easier. I suspect our organization is still using an older version and because of that the connections to office tools like Outlook or our I-9 system feel underdeveloped. Even the built-in functions intended to bridge those gaps don't always deliver a smooth experience. Thankfully, after spending time working with the system I have learned to live with these quirks since the platform's overall consistency makes it possible to discover reliable workarounds that lessen the impact of the issues mentioned above.

“Great applicant counters
Pros
I mainly use Avionte exclusively for onboarding and not for managing employees while they're on assignment. One of the biggest perks I've noticed is the ability to view incomplete applications, that feature is HUGE and something my previous software simply didn't offer. Because of it, I can reach back out to applicants who started an application and then abandoned it for whatever reason. The customization options are something I really like, you can add and edit things like 'Action Types,' 'certifications,' statuses, branches and more to fit our workflow. The counter feature has been particularly useful since it helps me zero in on where our bottlenecks exist. Exporting data into Excel is simple and once you learn basic pivot tables or run a few macros sorting through data becomes impressively fast. There's a great deal of flexibility around where columns live and how shortcuts are set up, plus several color schemes to choose from. From what I can tell, they work with a variety of vendors that integrate cleanly into the tool and I'm hopeful they'll add a few more integrations down the road.
Cons
Customer support has been frustratingly slow to respond and we honestly spent several weeks going back and forth trying to resolve a system issue on more than one occasion. It's also important to understand that reports they build for you are essentially "fixed in time." For example, if I build a report to track statuses and later add a new status, that report won't pull the new status unless I contact Avionte to have it updated. That caught me off guard even though it's not a huge problem. Another limitation I've run into is the lack of a built-in reporting feature to calculate 'time to hire,' which would be useful for our metrics. Overall these issues were manageable but did create extra work and unexpected delays.

Pros
One thing I really appreciate about Avionte is its focus on innovation and continuous improvements. I value that the team listens to client feedback and will act on suggestions, rolling out changes that actually address the particular needs of each customer rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Cons
What bugs me is how inconsistent the software's evolution has been, updates tend to feel abrupt and leave us scrambling. My team and I invested time becoming proficient with the core application, then through Client Connect there was a strong push for everyone to move over to Aero but that effort was dropped and Aero ended up serving only as a direct-hire platform for temp agencies. “fits staffing firm needs
Pros
We chose Avionte because it genuinely fits the needs of a staffing firm like ours. Over time, we've managed to go completely paperless and keep uncovering ways to organize workflows which has cut down the time and people needed for data handling. Because development efforts were concentrated on the newer product though, the legacy core application can feel annoying and often needs long, multi-step procedures to finish tasks such as onboarding. A gap between the core system and the web-based tools has at times left users puzzled. Customer service and our account manager have been responsive and helpful, while support hasn't always delivered the same level of usefulness. Having been behind on innovation for a period, the company appears to be course-correcting and I think the new feature set has the potential to align well with evolving industry technology and trends.
Cons
Support can be slow to respond on non-urgent matters and the team handling those tickets isn't always equipped with the knowledge or creativity to propose workarounds for process gaps or operational changes. Reporting is particularly frustrating because it's overly complex we often have to stitch together multiple queries and export data just to pull basic, key metrics. Additionally the absence of a powerful API is a real pain point and limits our ability to integrate and automate.

“Lifecycle coverage done right but restrictive AR and outdated ACA
Pros
I like that Avionte covers the entire lifecycle. I can move candidates from applicant tracking straight through hiring, run payroll and invoice clients without switching systems.
Cons
I've run into several limitations that frustrate me: there's no open API to integrate easily with other tools. The Accounts Receivable area is restrictive, it won't let me build a single invoice with multiple line items or add free-text comments in A/R unless the invoice is generated automatically from time entry or payroll. I also can't issue customer refunds through A/R and payroll won't accept a negative deduction to return amounts previously withheld. Finally, the ACA tracking features feel out of date and need upgrading.

“organization is easier now
Pros
I really like that it offers a broad selection of ways to log messages and update files, having multiple options to record communications and make file changes makes it much easier for me to keep everything organized.
Cons
On the downside I find the interface can be difficult to navigate at times. I'd love it if the system automatically toggled an employee's status between Active and Working when they are assigned to or finish a job because right now that's something I have to do manually. Also when I enter an end date for an employee's assignment within the same week they're still being paid, the program kicks them out of the payroll batch so I end up waiting until payroll has been processed before I can add the end date.

“Smooth after migration
Pros
We can use the software from any location that has an internet connection. Also the platform includes comprehensive billing, payroll and tax tools along with its front-office capabilities. Moreover I find the payroll tax component to be outstanding. That feature matters a great deal because our operations are in a state with both city and school district taxes.
Cons
Our current release performs poorly on smartphones and tablets right now. Fortunately an updated version scheduled for release in July is expected to fix these mobile compatibility problems.

“Accounting made easier
Pros
For both our front- and back-office operations, we rely on Avionte every day. I find the interface very user-friendly and it stores every piece of information we need to run daily tasks smoothly. On top of that the reporting features are fantastic. I pull reports each day to monitor our recruiters and track our employees' statuses.
Cons
One improvement I'd like to see is a proper back button and an easier way to switch between screens. Right now navigation can feel buggy. I also notice that the ticketing system can be slow at times, with support responses taking longer than expected.

“solid candidate and client tracking
Pros
In my experience it provides a solid selection of tools for monitoring candidate and staff histories. It also keeps every client detail on file, from invoices to payment records. I find the interface simple to use and appreciate the extensive set of features it includes.
Cons
I would like more flexibility with the email templates because I've struggled to get them to behave and often end up composing messages outside the system instead of sending them directly through the app.

“Front and back office integrated
Pros
From my perspective the Front Office and Back Office work together smoothly and I appreciate that integration.
Cons
That said I find the Core App's search for keyword skills to be lacking and it could use better functionality.
