We really appreciate the approval workflow and the Google Calendar integration most since they let us quickly share current information with faculty and staff without extra effort.

I find it fairly challenging to configure and get everything running correctly because the setup isn't very easy and can be confusing.

I feel the settings area could be improved especially the employee management features and related options which would benefit from better organization and optimization.

“Perfect for Slack

Pros

I chose it for our leave management because it connects with Slack and Google Calendar which were major factors in my decision. Since our company relies heavily on Slack, everyone has found it really convenient and efficient to get notifications there and to submit or approve PTO requests right inside Slack. I also like that PTO requests automatically show up on the Google Calendar which is very handy and saves time.

Cons

We wish the calendar could be updated or synced to display hire date anniversaries because at the moment we keep two separate calendars for that reason and it's a bit of a effort to manage both instead of having everything in one place.

“Cheap and easy, setup was hard

Both my team and I found it easy to use and it didn't cost much. I also appreciated that we were able to use it solely for tracking leave which worked well for us.

Cons

Setting it up was a little challenging because the annual leave allowances in Sri Lanka differ from those in many other countries. That meant we had to perform a significant amount of manual adjustments to make everything accurate.

Aside from the basic features I appreciate the paid holiday booking and absence notification options.

Cons

When booking paid holidays or absences its a bit tedious as it automatically includes weekends in the allowance requiring multiple bookings for longer date ranges.

I can't really point to any major issues with this tool. If I had to mention something, it's more of an emotional thing, using it when you're sick sometimes brings back memories of those not-so-great days.

For my needs the app is easy and concentrates on getting the job done. I've found it very flexible and simple to adjust which is a huge advantage when coordinating teams across different countries. Customer support consistently helps and actually passes along suggestions and issues to the development team. Honestly in my experience it's the best tool for easing workloads in smaller businesses where a single person or a tiny HR group handles most of the HR tasks, it makes daily life noticeably easier.

I used to miss having the Break feature sync up with Slack , that was something I wish still existed. In the company I'm at now we only rely on the Leave module so it doesn't impact us but I can see how it's annoying for others. Another headache shows up with the Clockin module, there should be an option to mark a day taken entirely as accumulated overtime with a distinct icon. Right now you can mark those days, yet the system labels them as remote work days which is confusing because that person has already completed the required hours. It doesn't come up very often, however when it does it creates extra work since I end up manually correcting entries and double-checking things.

“Perfect except for one sync issue

The program is incredibly easy to use and really user-friendly. For our company I've found it to be the perfect solution for tracking both PTO and PSL requests. It was easy for me to learn how to use it and setting it up didn't take much effort.

Unfortunately it doesn't sync with ADP for PSL leave which means I need to manually adjust PSL hours each month.

I use it to monitor attendance, absences and assignment of staff across different projects. It's easy and I love that team members can clock in and out from their phones , that's super useful.

What surprises me is that there isn't a built-in way to track on-call services. This feature is heavily relied on by IT companies and by medical departments as well. I need to be able to identify who is on call, record their on-call duty periods and capture any overtime on top of that. Since the product doesn't support this, I was forced to adapt or tweak some existing features into a makeshift solution which feels fragile and limited. On another note, I also miss the option to build custom reports , there's valuable information that isn't being surfaced properly.

I'm generally pleased with this tool especially because it offers self-voicing features that help our users use independently.

We find data entry becomes pretty awkward for our users when they have to manually re-enter repeating daily schedules which is frustrating.

well I really appreciate the self-service time-off request features they make it easy for me to approve or deny leave from any device. The workflow tools, communication features and calendar syncing also work reliably and are helpful.

For my team I'd really like to see tighter Google Workspace support especially Google Sheets so I can build live leave dashboards and reports that plug into our current workflows and match the way we work.
