“fast support with buggy report
Pros
I get quick responses from the help desk and the system runs without major lags, I can use it from both the app and my laptop.
Cons
When I download the absence report what shows up is a holiday cancellation entry that I can't filter out and although I reported this issue to Calamari it hasn't been fixed. As a result I have to check each employee's cancellation date manually every month because the report only displays the 'create date' and not the actual 'cancellation date'.

“Great for vacation
Pros
We chose this tool to handle our vacation scheduling and it does the job really well for that purpose. It's superior to any other solution we've tried in the past and their customer service is outstanding.
Cons
Getting it configured to match Finland's rules for how vacation days accrue and are used was somewhat complicated at first but with some help we managed to get everything sorted out.

the sick leave and overall leave management software is really easy and simple for employees to use.
Cons
setting up a new employee was confusing and I struggled to figure out the correct process the first few times additionally the back-end interface is clunky and difficult to use.

Pros
One thing I really appreciate is that it ties into Google Workspace, it's super simple to use, offers a highly readable cockpit and lets us create our own leave types while controlling which employees can view them.
Cons
As for the Google link, I'm disappointed that when I'm on leave my calendar doesn't automatically set an out-of-office notice.

“clean design but limited customization
Pros
UI is really simple and clean, making everything simple to operate. I find the emails quite beneficial for staying updated. The calendar feature is also valuable and it's easy to read and helps me stay organized.
Cons
The time-off request feature doesn't let you set custom hours when requesting partial day leave.

it keeps a solid record of my time and I can configure bank holidays, schedule days off and mark when I'm working from home.
Cons
When my connection drops it often fails to clock me out properly or ends up recording my time twice which is frustrating.

it's incredibly user-friendly and simple enough that even staff who aren't comfortable with technology can use it without issues. I also appreciate how quick and easy the reporting is, just one click and I can retrieve my data almost instantly.
Cons
I am pleased with all of Calamari's features. It's very simple and teaching colleagues to use it is quick and simple. At this point, I don't really have any complaints to raise.

Pros
Managing time off requests and checking everyone's schedules is simple, both for me and when I'm showing new team members how it works. The interface feels clean and uncluttered which makes navigation really smooth.
Cons
I didn't explore every feature as a regular user, so there wasn't much that bothered me about it. Could probably use a mobile app though.

“Easy tracking and approvals
Pros
The time-off tracking is very easy, I can quickly calculate my vacation days, sick leave or any other absence in just a few clicks. Getting supervisor approval happens seamlessly through there system which saves me tons of time compared to our old paper process.
Cons
Only thing I can think of is that there might be room for more advanced reporting features but honestly I'm pretty satisfied with how simple everything is right now.

Pros
Handling compliance has become so much easier for me. I no longer have to keep track of all those labour-law requirements because everything is bundled into a single app. The amount of customization is impressive , we even created custom leave types like Anniversary Vacay Days and it was easy to set up. Integrations with Google Calendar and Slack work really well so I can glance at critical info without signing in. everything lives in one virtual spot now which means I don't have to dig through paper records to confirm PTOs anymore.

Honestly I can't think of any drawbacks , it really changed my life ,)

“Handy calendar but reports need work

I find Calamari's calendar really handy for checking who's working from the office, who's traveling and who's on leave. We also rely on it to monitor bookings for conference rooms and company vehicles.
Cons
We appreciate that the tool can generate reports to monitor staff absences but the reporting capabilities feel limited compared with what we'd like. For example, when sales reps visit clients we currently have to type the client name into the "reasons" field it would be much more convenient if that field could offer a dropdown populated from our customer list.

Pros
Overall I'm finding the platform incredibly easy and reliable for tracking all our information. every tool is interactive and easy to use and my team really likes using the clock-in/clock-out system during the workday.
Cons
It would be really helpful if I could sync it with our G Suite account. Since we use G Suite for calendars, having birthdays and annual leave automatically pushed or flagged in Google Calendar would make planning and reminders much easier for our team.

Pros
We've found the software to be highly flexible in tracking all kinds of leave. Because our team includes people at many different levels who are entitled to different types of time off, it was able to cope with all those varying entitlements without a hitch. On top of that we also record our sales managers' business travel inside the platform which has been genuinely helpful for keeping their time and trips organized.
Cons
the app is generally easy but the interface could be made more easy for people who aren't comfortable with computers. It isn't always obvious how much time they have left versus what has already been scheduled so clearer labeling or a simpler display of remaining versus booked time would help avoid confusion for less tech-savvy staff.
