“Recommended tool for time tracking

Pros

Managing the program is effortless and well-received by employees empowering them to manage their own time.

Cons

We encountered some hiccups during setup but with fantastic assistance from Calamaris support center (which was outstanding) we resolved all our issues.

Its straightforward and intuitive with a relatively low learning curve. Its streamlined and competitively priced for our requirements. While Im aware Calamari offers additional functions beyond PTO tracking further exploration is needed to assess how they compare to our current setup.

Cons

I cant think of any major drawbacks. It fulfills our needs well. While I might encounter issues along the way overall it performs admirably.

well the online-based system lets me set up and use an Android tablet as a kiosk for my team.

Cons

I'm disappointed that it presents working hours, days off and similar details poorly in a single document and those records are barely accepted during work inspections.

the app is really easy to use, I can tailor settings for every employee individually and the price seems reasonable to me.

Sometimes I face glitches and for some odd reason the entitlement always defaults to the prior year which is frustrating.

“Helps our digital work life a lot

Pros

As a small IT company we're trying to digitalize every application because our jobs demand flexibility in terms of hours and location. Having requests, entitlements and time-tracking consolidated in a single place makes life easier. I genuinely don't know how we'd manage daily tasks without Calamari sending notifications to Slack.. it really boosts our work-life balance :)

Cons

the interface felt somewhat awkward but I've noticed the their team is very receptive to user feedback and has improved the product considerably over the last year. They actively ask what could be better and then roll out changes quickly which I really appreciate.

“Tracks time well but setup is tricky

Pros

I've found the time tracking, punch card and other features to be excellent and the PTO tracking is especially impressive.

Cons

Sometimes I feel the way certain items have to be set up or configured, PTO accruals in particular ends up being more complex and fiddly than it really needs to be.

Pros

It is incredibly easy for everyone on our team to access. Being able to grab my phone and submit a sick day, approve requests or put in time-off requests on the go has been especially handy.

Cons

I'd prefer that admin and HR profiles didn't count as additional seats when we aren't using separate accounts for those roles. For us we're only operating the system as an administrator so charging for those seats feels unnecessary.

“easy to start but lost some good features

Pros

Using it I find the app really easy to use and easy to set up. I managed to configure it myself without needing any help.

Cons

I'm unhappy that the birthdays feature has been removed I used to rely on it. I'm also missing an option for work anniversary date reminders which I would really like to have.

“Works well with other apps but not automated enough

Pros

Calamari is very easy, it's simple to grasp and use and integrates easily with other tools for example the Calendar app so I can share schedules with the entire team.

Cons

Some of the system's logic could use further optimization for example I'd really like an automatic calculation that subtracts overtime from absences so we can immediately tell if we're in a positive balance or not. Right now we're doing that calculation internally and I'd love to see it implemented as a built-in feature.

“Perfect for small teams

Pros

It is really easy and practical. It's minimalistic so I don't have to invest in a large-scale HRIS or complex timekeeping system meant for much bigger organizations. The tools it provides feel focused for smaller employers instead of being a one-size-fits-all product. every time I've reached out technical support and customer service have been fast and absolutely outstanding !

Cons

It would be great if there was at least one ad-hoc, customizable reporting option because right now I don't have a way to build the exact reports I need.

its very user friendly, the pricing feels fair and it aligns well with Polish legal requirements.

Cons

I'd like to see better integrations with other tools like n8n, Zapier and make.com and I wish the reporting and export features were more flexible and powerful.

My staff needs to log into two different apps to work with it which means juggling multiple logins.

Its convenient for employees to log their vacation and sick time. Having visibility on one calendar reduces the administrative burden of tracking time off. The mobile app is particularly helpful for our sales team on the road.

The calendar view could provide more upfront detail on absences. Currently you have to hover over individuals to determine if theyre off for the entire day or just a few hours.

“easy time-off logging and shared calendar

Pros

One thing I really like is how simple it is for our staff to log vacation and sick days. everyone can see time off on a single shared calendar. It has cut down the admin work involved in tracking absences. Plus there's a mobile app so our traveling sales reps can check who's in or out at the office.

Cons

I wish the calendar would display more upfront information about absences. Right now I have to hover over a person's name to find out whether they're away for the full day or just taking a few hours which isn't very convenient.

Pros

I appreciate its flexibility and control options. The customer support especially from Ewelina has been outstanding throughout the transition. The mobile app is also fantastic.

Pros

Requesting time off used to be such a pain but this tool makes it incredibly simple. Just a couple clicks and my vacation request is submitted! The automated leave calculation feature is really handy too, no more trying to do mental math to figure out how many days I have remaining.

Cons

I can't really think of anything that bothers me about it.
