Pros
Calamari is incredibly intuitive - it simplifies holiday tracking sick leave management and more. Its straightforward and well-organized design makes its features easily accessible. Requesting time off is a breeze and the approval system functions smoothly. The customer service team is always responsive and helpful especially when we have specific requests.
Cons
Some team members encounter frequent logout issues which are resolved by sending them another system invitation (the cause is uncertain).

Pros
The standout feature is definitely the customer support. Their communication and problem-solving skills are exceptional.
Cons
I would appreciate more features. Although theres a new Core HR module it still offers only the basics. Its fantastic software if you only need to store and manage basic information.

Pros
The affordability simplicity of setup and maintenance integration with Slack and open API are all standout features. The customer service especially from Kasia has been excellent and responsive.
Cons
The UI experience is simple but the user experience isnt always optimal. The Calendar view and navigation can be confusing with unexpected list refreshes.

The provision of an application makes it easier for our employees to log in.
Cons
The manuals/guides/videos arent as informative as they should be. Screenshots might assist both users and administrators. Setup wasnt as easy as anticipated and our support from Calamari was limited with many responses not helpful.

Pros
Its incredibly user-friendly with a modern feel on both the app and web versions. The admin and setup processes are intuitive and even our less tech-savvy employees had no trouble getting used to it. The customer service team is friendly and quick to respond to any queries or issues. The system processes tasks quickly and theres a variety of clocking methods available.
Cons
While the product is nice it feels behind competitors in some aspects. There are translation mistakes and missing admin features. Some exported reports lack consistency. Overall it feels like were beta-testing the product.

Pros
I am a big fan of how easy Calamari is to use, its smooth integrations with other apps and the polished UI. What I find particularly useful is the daily Slack notification it can send every morning to update the team about who is out that day , that feature really saves us time. Simplicity matters when trying to get everyone to adopt a tool and it does a great job on that front.
Cons
One area where I see room for improvement is reporting. A lot of companies need a signed record of timecard approvals to confirm employees are being paid correctly. Right now we have to export the data and set the format up ourselves which is difficult. I would love to see a built-in timecard approval workflow in the app to make that process smooth and automatic.

“Modern but feels behind
Pros
In my experience the app is really easy to use. Both the mobile and web versions have a fresh, modern feel compared to a lot of other HR systems I've dealt with. The admin and setup flows are simple and interactive and even our most technophobic team members had no trouble signing up and getting comfortable with it. The customer service team is friendly and consistently quick to respond whenever we raise questions or run into issues. Overall the system itself is very fast and completes tasks promptly. There's a strong range of clocking options available , QR scanner, mobile app, website, iBeacon and API which we found very useful. From everything I tested, they provide one of the most advanced and open API protocols I've come across and as a high-tech company I was particularly keen to have that capability to smooth any future integrations or implementations.
Cons
I do like the product overall but it does sometimes feel like it lags behind competitors in certain areas. I get the impression the development team is a bit small and I would certainly prefer to see faster progress on the features we've requested. We've noticed a few translation errors here and there though they haven't impacted usability. The way team management works isn't as dynamic as I expected either. There are some missing admin capabilities , for example, I want activity logs so I can see who changed specific data and when and I would like finer-grained controls and settings in some areas. A few exported reports also look inconsistent, as if different people coded them, table headers and field names don't always match across exports. It's a minor annoyance but it stands out and probably wouldn't happen with a larger vendor. Overall the biggest downside for me is that those missing features and the occasional small glitches make me feel like we're partly beta-testing the product for them, yet we're paying full market price for the experience.

I'm glad it provides a mobile application which makes it much easier for our employees to log in.
Cons
In our experience the manuals, guides and videos weren't as clear as they needed to be and I think some screenshots would make things much easier for both users and the administrator. On top of that, the setup ended up being more complicated than we expected and the support we received from it felt very limited, many times their responses didn't answer our questions or seemed off topic and therefore weren't helpful.

I find the app really easy to use and manage and it helps me take back control of tracking time for the projects I work on.
Cons
There is no photo upload feature and I wish the approval window for employee-reported hours followed chronological order.
