Frustrating and hard to use

Pros

I'll say it's pretty simple to look at and understand. If you're just doing one thing all day without any interruptions, it gets the job done fine.

Cons

I get interrupted constantly and never know if it'll be a quick 15-second thing or drag on for 30 minutes. When I start at 9:00 and get pulled away at 9:10 for some issue, I don't stop the timer to the exact second since I'm still technically working on the same job. But then if another interruption comes up, I realize way later that I haven't actually been on that original task for ages and have to go back and fix the times to match what really happened. Also, having to select a task every time is pretty annoying.

Awesome features and good support

Pros

Really appreciate all the time clock features, the GEO tracking works great and having perimeter settings for job sites is super helpful. What I love most is how many tabs and dropdown menus employees can use when they're clocking in or out. Plus, our lead people can make quick adjustments right there in the field which saves us tons of time.

Cons

We honestly can't think of any major downsides right now. We're still learning some of the features but the support team's response and assistance have been incredible.

Great control over my schedule

Pros

I have much better control over my schedule and tracking time now. What I really appreciate is being able to check on my team when I'm out at job sites and if something new comes up, I can get it scheduled immediately. My productivity has gone through the roof.

Cons

Tracking overnight shifts can be tricky since the hours get split across two days when installers clock in and out, making it hard to separate their time when they work multiple nights consecutively.

Saves us time and paper!

Pros

The website and mobile app have a really attractive design that makes navigation easy. What I love most is how the reporting feature has completely streamlined our job site hour tracking & it's saved us tons of time and cut down on all that paperwork we used to deal with. Overall, this is great software that delivers on what it promises.

Cons

The only thing I'd change is having more customization options tailored to our specific workflow, but honestly that's a minor complaint since the system works so well overall.

Good value but has bugs

Pros

Setting up this time-clock service was simple and at just $30 monthly (with annual payment options), it's really budget-friendly. The GPS feature works great with smart AI that rarely makes mistakes. Managing employee schedules and tracking their activities has become so much easier. The control panel gives us complete flexibility to organize both activities and staff however we need.

Cons

Sometimes it crashes out of nowhere which is really frustrating. Tracking employee expenses is a pain since this isn't really built for financial management or budget oversight. The mobile version is outdated and using the control panel is tough and it often just vanishes on you. Also wish I could customize the colors on the work boards but thats not an option.

Great oversight though needs more languages

Pros

Love how I can get information instantly, which gives me much better oversight of my team's activities and productivity.

Cons

The app really needs to support multiple languages since not everyone speaks English fluently.

Best support team!!

Pros

I can't stand traditional time sheets but this keeps everything organized in one spot. Whenever I need help, support responds quickly and actually solves my problems.

Cons

Still trying to figure out how to navigate everything & it's taking some time to get the hang of it.

Easy setup for the whole team

Pros

Setting it up was very easy and my team picked it up without any issues. The whole system runs smoothly and feels interactive to work with.

Cons

Wish there was a dedicated mobile admin app instead of having to use the website on my phone but that's really my only complaint so far!

powerful and simple tool

Pros

I've found this time tracking solution to be powerful yet simple. The mobile app is fantastic & being able to use it on both phones and tablets makes everything so convenient. Having GPS integration built right in is a game-changer and managing employee administration has never been easier.

Cons

I can't really think of anything major to complain about, when we first got started, their team was always there to help us set everything up properly so we didn't run into any big issues.

Stops revenue leaks on any device

Pros

Clockshark immediately stopped money from slipping through the cracks by giving us a simple way to monitor all our complex jobs that start and stop multiple times throughout the day. Being able to access it from phones, computers, tablets basically any device, is very helpful.

Cons

Interface isn't very appealing and definitely needs work. I feel like they could put more effort into the color choices, overall design, font selection and how the buttons are arranged to make it look better. Would also be nice if it could rotate to landscape mode so we can actually read those longer job titles properly.

user friendly but requires extra fees

Pros

I really like how easy this is to use. Even our staff who have been here the longest learned it with no problem. I love that I can check everyone's hours for payday. It's so much better than the old handwritten cards, where I wasted time trying to read people's messy writing.

Cons

I find it frustrating that there's a $5 monthly fee for admin access when I'm salaried and dont actually need to track my hours. It seems like at least one administrator should be part of the basic plan without extra charges.

Easy to clock in and out

Pros

The mobile app makes it very easy for employees to clock in and out on the correct project with just one tap!

Cons

Language barrier is a real issue for us since we're in French-speaking Canada and several team members struggle with English-only interfaces.

Well organized timesheets!

Pros

I'm really impressed with how the timesheets are organized and laid out.

Cons

Great for tracking job phases

Pros

Finally found a solution for tracking job phases properly. Our team used to guess their time allocations by week's end when we asked them to log hours manually. This tool makes it easy to monitor time spent on each phase as it happens. Really appreciate how user-friendly it is even our less tech-savvy employees can navigate it without issues.

Cons

The app kept crashing on our material pickup guy's phone until I disabled the GPS that fixed it right away. The main headache now is employees forgetting to clock in and out, which means I'm constantly editing their time entries. I'm hoping they'll get better about remembering once they realize they won't get paid if they dont track their hours properly.

Helpful but reports need work

Pros

It's been helpful for collecting everyone's timesheets across the company and gives me accurate tracking of work hours. The system creates better organization and workflow throughout the business which frees up more time for productive work.

Cons

The reporting features could use some work and I'd love to see more analog and dynamic style options that are easier to customize based on what I need. Overall it feels very basic and there's definitely room for improvement in this area.

effortless to use and integrates well

Pros

Very easy to use and reviewing employee entries is also very simple. Making adjustments when needed doesn't require much effort. The Sage integration works smoothly & cost codes and other data sync without any hiccups, which saves me time on reconciliation.

Cons

Payroll data transfer to Sage takes way too long, which is frustrating. I also can't locate a report that shows all employee time for the pay period while letting me edit directly from that same view.

Clear visibility from any location

Pros

The implementation was surprisingly smooth and I love how it gives me visibility into employee productivity while letting clients track project progress in real-time. Creating and editing timecards for each team member is straightforward, giving me much tighter control over time tracking. Access from anywhere, whether I'm on my phone or laptop, makes managing my workload so much easier. The web-based interface loads quickly and the mobile version really speeds up the process of logging hours. Being able to see overtime hours for each person helps me ensure everyone gets paid accurately for there extra work.

Cons

Only downside is it only lets you enter billable payments by hours, which made calculating overtime pay a bit tricky for me. But honestly, these are minor issues considering how comprehensive the software is overall.

reliable cloud based system

Pros

I like being able to access detailed employee information whenever I need it. Its manageable and lets me organise my workflow on the spot. Navigation feels quick and the interface stays clean throughout. Since it's cloud-based and works on both web and mobile devices, adding work hours becomes much more secure. When payroll time comes around, overtime calculations are automatically reflected which saves me time.

Cons

It sometimes gets a bit sluggish with certain functions which can be annoying when you're trying to get things done quickly. We've found workarounds for most of these issues but it would be nice if the performance was more consistent across all features.

Works well with no cell service

Pros

UI is for my field crew to use and the fact that they can clock in and out accurately even in remote areas with zero cell service is fantastic. What I absolutely love are the out of bounds alerts and they're incredibly helpful for tracking whether my team is actually clocking in and out at the correct job sites.

Cons

Sometimes the team complains they definitely clocked out but the system didn't register it. I reached out to my rep about this issue and they confirmed it was a known bug that got fixed with an app update.
