“Payroll runs faster now”

Pros

Payroll doesn't make me grumpy anymore and my coworkers feel the same way. Since ClockShark timesheets integrate with Sage, running payroll is much faster and a lot more manageable for me.

Cons

I don't like that there's no way to map two different tasks to the same cost code.

“Cuts payroll time”

Pros

Cutting payroll time to less than half of what it used to take has been incredible. It's also much simpler now to keep track of the hours worked on each job. Entering worked hours on the calendar, including lunch breaks, is a lot faster too and that has made it a really good option for us.

Cons

Would still love to have more characters available in the calendar notes section. Another thing is that when I process payroll, I have to convert all the hours into decimals manually. It would be really helpful if there were a report that handled that conversion and it would be amazing to see ClockShark offer something like that in the future.

“Helpful clock-out alerts”

Pros

Getting an email alert whenever an employee forgets to clock out is really useful.

Cons

Nothing negative has come up yet but I've only been using it for a little under two months.

“Never disappoints”

Pros

It always works the way it should and never lets me down. My family really loves using it too.

Cons

It could use some better updates especially to make things more user-friendly for people who use a mouse.

“Time tracking made manageable”

Pros

Really wonderful to use. It makes handling employee clock-ins and time tracking much more manageable.

Cons

It's simple to work with, keeps accurate records and stays consistently correct.

“Simple to switch job tasks”

Pros

Since I'm not always at the job site, it's really helpful that employees can't clock in until they actually arrive at the project location. Switching job tasks is simple and works really well for job costing. The QuickBooks import is also simple and saves time.

Cons

Doesn't handle different time zones very well. There's also no option to submit an expense sheet along with timesheets for employees who receive per diem.

“Userfriendly program”

Pros

Right from the start the cloud-based setup felt incredibly simple and user-friendly. Clock-ins and scheduling are very simple to manage and the whole program is user-friendly to use.

Cons

A handful of features are still missing at the moment although it sounds like they're planning to roll out additions such as time-off request functionality.

“Adjustable setup”

Pros

Using the app feels very user friendly and it's been simple to adjust the setup so it matches our company's needs. The newer additions have also been a real plus, making things even more convenient for the business.

Cons

there's no app for the Windows platform and it also doesn't integrate with Office 365.

“Clear layout and very effective tool”

Pros

Found it to be very simple and effective. Everything is laid out right in front of you so it's simple to navigate and use without any confusion.

Cons

Honestly I don't really have any complaints. It works very well and the simplicity of everything is exactly what I want.

“Easy to log my hours”

Pros

Logging my hours in ClockShark feels really simple and I can clock my time without any hassle.

Cons

I do wish the GPS tracking were a bit more accurate.

“Seamless job switching”

Pros

Switching from one job to another is really simple, even when moving between the different parts of each job.

Cons

Every now and then it doesn't work properly, usually because of an internal glitch.

“One of the best tools out there”

Pros

From the mobile app alone, it feels like one of the best tools I've used. Everything is organized really well and it gives me everything I need without feeling cluttered. With ClockShark, every employee can stay connected and handle all of their time tracking directly in the app and managers can also view their location.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. Only a few very minor things come to mind but overall it's a fast platform and ClockShark works with excellent efficiency.

“Precise tracking”

Pros

Being able to track time so accurately is my favorite part since I always know the exact moment employees clock in and clock out.

Cons

The only issue I have is with the mobile version's layout which I'm not really a fan of.

“Easy to learn”

Pros

After watching most of one intro video, I decided to start the free trial and by the end of the first pay period, every employee was already using it with only a few occasional log edits from me. It's clear the team behind this really understands how time tracking works in real life because we didn't have to change our process to match the software at all, it just fit naturally.

Cons

mobile app syncing can be a bit quirky at times although the data does come through eventually. Every now and then I have to manually prompt the app to sync.

“Loose gps fence”

Pros

After recently rolling out ClockShark for our field service team, the scheduling feature has been a big plus. The crew can clearly see where they need to be, when they're supposed to be there and all the job details are kept together in one place. It's also very user-friendly for both the office staff and the employees in the field.

Cons

One thing that hasn't worked as expected is the GPS fence which seems to allow a wider range than we anticipated.

“Can add short notes”

Pros

Having the GPS system in place helps us keep accurate records for employees so there are no issues when payroll is processed. If someone puts in overtime, it shows up correctly and we can also add short notes about how the day went or any improvements that need to be made.

Cons

The only thing we'd really want is a broader selection of reports since that would be a big plus for us. Other than that, we really don't feel ClockShark is lacking anywhere and the pricing is excellent for both small businesses and larger companies.

Pros

The thing I appreciate most is the GPS feature.

Cons

The GPS feature doesn't work when logging into the website version.

Pros

Getting around this product feels very simple and the interface is easy to use and navigate.

Cons

Haven't run into any issues at all. It's honestly been a pleasure to use.

Pros

Being able to see exactly how punctual employees are when they clock in and arrive at the company is amazing. ClockShark works very well overall and its features feel thoughtfully built with users in mind. On top of that, the customer service is excellent and the tools provided are high quality and very reliable.

Cons

I really don't have anything negative to say. It's a solid piece of software with very capable features.

“Payroll time saver”

It has saved me a lot of time when handling payroll.

Cons

I just need to be careful when exporting from ClockShark to QuickBooks so I don't end up exporting the same time twice.
