High Quality for EMS
Pros

Since ESO is specifically designed for first responders, it works almost flawlessly compared to other scheduling software that is not tailored to this industry. Additionally, their staff and support are highly knowledgeable about the unique needs of first responders when it comes to software.

Cons

The softwares effectiveness largely depends on how well you set it up. This can be both an advantage and a drawback. While it offers customization to fit your needs, if you are unsure about your requirements or how certain features might help, setting it up properly can be challenging.

ESO is Easy
Pros

I found this program very easy to learn. I particularly like the month view of the schedule.

Cons

I wish the built in rotations were color-coded on the calendar view, similar to how they appear when creating a shift profile.

Just my thoughts
Pros

I love ESO because it is so easy to use and accessible from anywhere online. Most importantly, the program is always up and running and I can generate nearly any report I need.

Cons

I would like to see features like sorting shifts by EOT. I have been told that improvements are in the works, including reducing daily inconsistencies and a few other minor adjustments.

ESO functions
Pros

I enjoyed using this program. I only needed one in-service class to understand each feature and its application for scheduling.

Cons

There are many functions I do not use, such as the worksheets which seem unnecessary for my needs.

ESO Scheduler Plus Overview
Pros

The softwares ability to integrate with various systems is outstanding.

Cons

I am disappointed with the lack of customization options for high-priority services and major special events. Additionally, the layout does not offer the best visualization for a big-picture view.

Scheduling Supervisor CA Ambulance Provider
Pros

I like how the software allows for creating a diverse range of schedules, including various types of employees. Also it is easy to update and adjust schedules once they are rolled out. The customer support team is always available, friendly and quick to resolve any issues.

Cons

Integrating this software with other departmental tools has been challenging, but I understand that such difficulties are common with any new software implementation.

Well it is okay
Pros

If you have tailored your company around ESOs limitations, it is fantastic. However, if you try to do something outside its designed scope, it quickly becomes less impressive.

Cons

I have noticed several areas where the software needs improvement, but they have not been addressed. ESO Scheduling seems to focus on minor tweaks like font color or icon changes instead of fixing significant issues. For example, it struggles with handling double shifts, lacks an easy way to add meal penalties (a recent CA law), and has ongoing issues with calculating shift breaks on pickup shifts, with no plans to resolve them. While we can work around these problems, we should not have to, especially since the prices have increased and my company cannot fully use the features.

ESO Scheduling Review
Pros

The tracking of employee certifications works well, and the messaging feature is very useful.

Cons

I need more customizable reports and faster responses to my questions. It would be great to have a help tab where I can get real-time answers to my queries.

Business Operation Manager
Pros

It is an all-in-one package with an easy-to-use interface and the ability to filter data fields.

Cons

There is a lack of communication between functions within the software. Since it is supposed to be an all-in-one system, the features should interact seamlessly with each other.

ESO makes you a pro at scheduling
Pros

All scheduling features are easy to navigate and view. Communication with company schedulers is simple, and there is connectivity to my personal calendar for notifications about upcoming shifts.

Cons

The mobile view is confusing and does not include all the features available on the desktop site.

Unwieldy and frustrating for employee level use
Pros

Payroll errors have decreased slightly since we started using this program.

Cons

This program often fails to register punches when crew members clock in and out. Although the system shows that the punch was accepted, it later shows missing punches when the crew member goes to approve the time card. It is also frustrating that I have to enter a note every single time someone punches in or out.

exceptional and expedient resolution to issues, though we have not had many since implimentation
Pros

Our payroll processing time has dropped from an 8-hour day to just 20 to 30 minutes. The ability to schedule and provide employee access from anywhere is fantastic. We use it as a comprehensive business management solution for our operations.

Cons

There are a lot of menus, which can sometimes make it difficult to find what I need. However, after some time, it becomes easier and once you implemented the system, you can actually reduce the number of menu choices available.

It's been great.
Pros

I like the ease of use, the range of report options, and the personable service. The setup works well for both EMS schedules and administrative roles, offering great reliability.

Cons

For the desktop version, I would like comments related to open shifts to appear in General Info > Schedule Info > Day view. For the mobile version, I did also like these comments to show up in General Info > Schedule Info > Day view, as well as in General Info > Requests Availability > Pickup Shifts.

The basic scheduling system and employee management is user friendly.
Pros

The basic scheduling and employee management features are very user-friendly and easy to teach to new users. I also find the chat feature quite helpful.

Cons

I wish there were more training options since there is so much of the system that we are not using. Even a webinar or pre-recorded sessions on various topics would be helpful. I did also like to see improvements in handling discrepancies with back-to-back shifts and a system that picks up "late punch-ins" for back-to-back shifts. Additionally, when an employee uploads a new certification, it should not overwrite the current one (unless we are doing something wrong). A "hover" option to view certification dates before approval would be great. There are also some payroll close-out features that I think could use some tweaking.
