Delivers what it promises.

Pros

Scheduling is a simple now and also it is very easy to use. Plus it even keeps track of certifications for employees. In short it's been an awesome tool for our company for 17 years, and we are looking forward to continuing to make the most of everything it has to offer.

Cons

Configuring certain areas of the software is not as easy as I expected.

The best for EMS

Pros

Since ESO is made keeping in mind the first responders, it works way better than other scheduling software we used in the past that isn't tailored to this field. Plus, their staff and support really know the ins and outs of what first responders need from software.

Cons

Well it works based on how I set it up, which is both a good and bad thing. As even though it is highly customizable to suit anyones needs, but if you are unsure about what you need or how some features work, setting it up the right way can be tricky.

Makes work simple

Pros

It is fairly easy to learn and use. I especially like the month view of the schedule as it makes everything super clear and easy to manage.

Cons

I wish the built in rotations were color-coded on the calendar view, similar to how they appear when creating a shift profile.

Easily accessible from anywhere!

Pros

I love ESO because it is so easy to use and accessible from anywhere online. Most importantly, the program is always up and running and I can generate nearly any report I need.

Cons

I would like to see features like sorting shifts by EOT. I have been told all that is in the works, including improvements for reducing daily inconsistencies and other minor adjustments.

Love it!!!

Pros

I enjoyed using this program. I only needed one in-service class to understand each feature and its application for scheduling.

Cons

There were a lot of functions I didn't really need, for example the worksheets.

Impressed with it!

Pros

Overall, we've had an amazing experience with the implementation. One of the best features is being able to catalog employee information and assign them to shifts easily. Plus the software's ability to integrate with different systems is also impressive.

Cons

I am disappointed with the lack of customization options for high-priority services and major special events. Additionally, the layout does not offer the best visualization for a big-picture view.

Works fine...

Pros

The best part about ESO Scheduling to me is that it supports a range of shifts and shift patterns.

Cons

There are a few areas that aren't consistent. For example, the date fields and upload areas look different depending on where we are in the system.

ESO is a powerful tool

Pros

ESO Scheduling is the best for scheduling and payroll. I really like it.

Cons

I would like it more if they added a feature on the main screen to show updates, so I don't have to rely on so many emails.

Makes my job simple...

Pros

I really like how I can create a diverse range of schedules, with different types of employees and how easy it is to make updates or changes once the schedule is out. Plus the customer support team is awesome as they are always available, friendly and quick to help resolve any issues we have.

Cons

Integrating ESO with other departmental tools is quite difficult, but I understand that such difficulties are common with any new software implementation.

Not bad, but not great either

Pros

If your company is built around Epro's limitations, then it is amazing. But if you try to do something outside of that like we did, it quickly becomes a lot less impressive.

Cons

I have noticed several areas where the software needs improvement, but they have not been addressed. ESO Scheduling seems to focus on minor tweaks like font color or icon changes instead of fixing significant issues. For example, it struggles with handling double shifts, lacks an easy way to add meal penalties (a recent CA law), and has ongoing issues with calculating shift breaks on pickup shifts, with no plans to resolve them. While we can work around these problems, we should not have to, especially since the prices have increased and my company cannot fully use the features.

Works well for use

Pros

The program has worked well for our needs. As the tracking of employee certifications works well, and the messaging feature has proven to be quite useful for us too.

Cons

Well I would like see more customizable reports and faster responses to my questions. Also it would be great if there was a help tab where I could ask questions and get answers in real time.

ESO is a complete package

Pros

It's a complete package with an easy to use interface and the ability to filter data fields. I have been working with ePro scheduler for over 9 years now, starting from the basic user interface all the way to having full admin rights.

Cons

I have noticed a lack of communication between the functions within the software. Since this is an all in one system, the features should be able to work together and update each other instantly.

I like it!!!

Pros

As per my experience, ESO is not only user friendly but is packed with a lot of useful features.

Cons

When the time is approved, the employee's name does not get removed from the daily sheet, which I truly dislike as it is quite annoying.

Helps us excel in scheduling

Pros

All the scheduling features are easy to navigate and view. Also it is simple to communicate with the company schedulers, and I love that it connects to my personal calendar to notify me of upcoming shifts.

Cons

I found the mobile view confusing, and it does not include all the features available on the desktop site.

Help us keep everything organized

Pros

ESO Scheduling is easy to use. Plus I really like being able to see the overall picture when scheduling our building usage. Also, it really helps keep everything organized and ensures that everyone stays on the same page.

Cons

Honestly, we have not received any negative feedback from users.

Quite complex for employees to use

Pros

Management and payroll really like this program because we have seen a slight decrease in payroll errors since we started using it.

Cons

ESO Scheduling often fails to register punches when crew members clock in and out. Although the system shows that the punch was accepted, it later shows missing punches when the crew member goes to approve the time card. It is also frustrating that I have to enter a note every single time someone punches in or out.

Excellent and has hardly any issues

Pros

Our payroll processing time has dropped from an 8 hour day to just 20 to 30 minutes. Plus the option to schedule and provide employee access from anywhere is fantastic. We use it as a comprehensive business management solution for our operations.

Cons

There are a lot of menus, which at times make it difficult to find what I need. However, after some time, it becomes easier and once you set up the system, you can actually reduce the number of menu choices available.

No complaints! Had a great experience!

Pros

I like the ease of use, the range of report options, and the personable service. Also the setup works well for both EMS schedules and administrative roles, offering great reliability.

Cons

Well it is not a con but more likely a suggestion that for the desktop version, I would like comments related to open shifts to appear in General Info > Schedule Info > Day view. For the mobile version, I did also like these comments to show up in General Info > Schedule Info > Day view, as well as in General Info > Requests Availability > Pickup Shifts.

ESO Scheduling is the best in its league

Pros

Transitioning from paper to this software has proven very beneficial for us. Also our employees can now easily view their schedules.

Cons

I am not sure what is happening with the Communications shifts. There are some issues, but I am confident they will be resolved soon.

Great system for scheduling and workforce management

Pros

The basic scheduling and employee management features are very user-friendly and easy to teach to new users. I also find the chat feature quite helpful.

Cons

I wish there were more training options since there is so much of the system that we are not using. Even a webinar or pre-recorded sessions on various topics would be helpful. I did also like to see improvements in handling discrepancies with back-to-back shifts and a system that picks up "late punch-ins" for back-to-back shifts. Additionally, when an employee uploads a new certification, it should not overwrite the current one (unless we are doing something wrong). A "hover" option to view certification dates before approval would be great. There are also some payroll close-out features that I think could use some tweaking.
