Super simple for the staff

Pros

It's super simple for the staff to use. As a manager, I can quickly get to each employee's profile. Releasing and filling shifts is quick and easy.

Cons

Employees have to pay for the app and there's no way around that. I wish I could color-code things to make it easier to organize.

Easy to use for a non tech person

Pros

I'm not the most tech-savvy person but I still find this tool easy to use. I can check my schedule from anywhere which has been a lifesaver. I don't have to stress about forgetting my shifts anymore. The app makes swapping shifts with coworkers really easy too. It's saved me tons of stress.

Cons

The app can be a bit slow sometimes but it's not a major issue for me. The only thing I wish for is a reminder feature for upcoming shifts. Also, occasionally the app glitches but it's nothing that requires more than restarting the app.

Looks great visually

Pros

I love the option to adjust percentages and the weekly schedule looks great visually. Adding and removing shifts is easy and fast.

Cons

Community and communication features didn't really seem useful to me. The mobile app wasn't great and the price made it a tough choice for general employee use.

Best tool for employee scheduling

Pros

It is by far the best tool I've used for employee scheduling. The simple design makes it so easy to check what shifts are available and when.

Cons

Too expensive!

Pros

The scheduling features match all the necessary industry standards.

Cons

Very very expensive especially for Canadian users. If you're using it without integration, you're missing out on some features. The employee app costs extra and the cancellation policy is tricky, making it hard to stop the service unless you time it right. Not satisfied!

Makes schedule easier and organize

Pros

I find it much easier to share my schedule, get real-time updates on my employees availability, plan days off and approve or deny swaps and shift releases. This tool significantly simplifies my work.

Cons

It takes some time to set up a new user and sometimes my employees face issues where their accounts appear blocked (though they can access it using an incognito browser). Additionally, the system often prompts them to change their passwords daily after logging in.

Very user friendly

Pros

I do not remember the scheduling system my previous employer used, but Fourth is vastly superior. I can easily view my schedule, even though I alternate between two shift patterns. My favorite feature of Fourth, as an employee is how simple it is to request time off and check my holiday allowance and usage. I would not want to use any other scheduling system now.

Cons

If I book holiday time for the upcoming allowance year (e.g., April 2024 when it is currently March 2024), I cannot see my remaining holiday balance until the new year starts. However, I can still work it out by checking the dates I have booked or requested off, so its manageable.

Fourth Payroll for the win

Pros

I loved being able to access my schedule from anywhere through mobile access. Being able to check my work schedule while on the go makes my life much more convenient. Plus, easily rescheduling or adjusting shifts with others makes this product top-notch.

Cons

I did not dislike anything about Fourth Payroll, but there was one feature I did not use: the time clock. This was simply because my company used a different method for clocking in.

Fourth Payroll, Cool Features

Pros

The PC design and Cellular App work well together, with real-time updates and changes reflecting instantly across both platforms. Navigating Fourth Payroll is easy, thanks to its user-friendly layout and page designs. Although it's already quite effective, I am sure they will keep refining even the smallest details. While reviewing real-time updated scheduling information is central to this program, the ability to send and receive messages about important changes, requests and responses between colleagues is fantastic.

Cons

In my personal and professional experience with Fourth Payroll, I have few negative things to report. While working at a ski resort in the mountains, the only drawbacks were related to our unreliable internet connection, not the software itself. Occasionally, the internet would be overloaded by guests, causing delays in system updates. This issue was more about the internet connection than the Fourth Payroll program.

Great for restaurants!

Pros

I love being able to log in and manage shifts from my phone. I can easily keep track of my schedule, request to work or request time off!

Cons

The mobile app costs $2.99 to download. Its not a huge deal, but I do not like having to pay for the app when my employer is already covering the system costs.

Fourth Payroll Review

Pros

Fourth Payroll is the best system used, and it is very easy to use and navigate. Switching shifts or requesting time off is simple and I can send messages directly to management from the app, which is very helpful.

Cons

While the messaging feature is extremely helpful, it sometimes fails to send notifications when a message is received. However, you can still find alternate contact information within the app to reach someone outside of it if needed.

Pros

I love being able to see my work schedule, request time off, message coworkers and managers and switch shifts with others. The layout is also very simple and easy to navigate on both the website and app.

Cons

Easiest HR Tool to Date

Pros

Fourth Payroll is very simple and easy to use. The scheduling feature is probably my favorite part. The layout is visually appealing and easy to understand. The app is also convenient for use on the go.

Cons

Inputting data can be time-consuming and updates can be a bit annoying. I am really nitpicking here, though, as the platform is mostly positive for me.

The best in the business

Pros

RELIABILITY is promised with Fourth Pay. It never crashes, and support is always helpful. The scheduler features are the best out there. Templates for quick entries are excellent for weekly use and color coding makes my life so much easier. Everything is transparent, with every action documented.

Cons

The software takes some getting used to and learning because its quite complex. Once you master the hotkeys, it becomes easier. Make sure you have a powerful computer; it requires a lot of real-time processing.

Fourth Payroll made life easier

Pros

I used this software when I worked as a server at Cheddars Scratch Kitchen and it made managing my schedule and handling shift trades, drops or pickups much easier. It was really simple to use and understand.

Cons

Occasionally, there is a delay on the app that made me late to drop or pick up shifts but this only happened sometimes.

A lot of useful templates for recording personnel records, along with powerful automation features like sick pay and holiday calculations and employee checklists. The payroll integration was excellent as well.

Cons

So convenient

Pros

Having worked in restaurants in the late '90s and 2000s, this app feels like a dream come true. It is amazing to be able to view my schedule, swap shifts and send messages to staff all in one place.

Cons

I dislike not being able to request time off past a certain point (less than three weeks before the shift, I think). But this is probably more of a restaurant policy issue than an app problem.

Easy scheduling

Pros

The Problem with Fourth Payroll

Pros

The updates are active and responsive, keeping me informed of any changes or modifications to my schedule. Overall, its a problem-free experience with very few bugs or glitches.

Cons

There is a lack of consistency between the different versions of the app, aside from the underwhelming user interface. The constant log-outs are annoying, even though they are a security measure. Most importantly, employees have to pay to access their schedule in a usable way.

The Best App In Its Category

Pros

Fourth Payroll is the best. I just log into the app and see what I need. This simplicity is all I require. Unlike many apps that make you jump through hoops to view your schedule or request time off, Fourth Payroll does not. If you're a manager handling scheduling for any size business, I highly recommend Fourth Payroll. You won't be disappointed.

Cons

Since I started using the app, my only complaint has been getting signed out randomly. I think this might be due to using an iPhone, but I am not sure if Android or other devices have the same issue.

Fourth Payroll is so easy to use

Pros

Fourth Payroll revolutionized the restaurant industry when it launched. With over 10 years in the industry, I saw firsthand how it changed things. Before, we had to wait for a photo of our schedules, which sometimes led to missed shifts or difficulties in covering shifts. With Fourth Payroll, you always know when your shift is, and you get reminders. If you need to cover a shift, you simply post it. Its a secure way to ensure everyone is accountable for their work.

Cons

The only issue I had when I first started using Fourth Payroll was figuring out how to update my availability. Once someone showed me, it became simple for me to understand.
