I find it super helpful for submitting job applications online. It's a pretty solid app overall.

Cons

iCIMS requires a lot of steps to complete when applying for jobs online. The number of questions seems excessive.

“Helps me stay on top of applications

Meets almost all my needs. It's simple to clean up candidates and stay on top of applications.

Cons

The PDF reader for resumes could be a bit odd at times. The website doesn't work well on mobile though I was using it through a browser. If there's an app, I haven't tried it. There's also no way to leave notes between the recruiter and the hiring manager which is frustrating. Instead, I have to email back and forth.

Keeps everything well-organized. We could easily track candidates as they moved through different stages of the hiring process which helped the HR team and managers stay on task.

Cons

When I used it, generating reports was pretty limited especially with 'time to fill' reports. It could have improved since then but at that time, it was lacking.

“Way faster than our previous system

Pros

It's a major improvement over our previous system. The new one works much faster and doesn't feel as sluggish, especially after just logging in.

Cons

It might just be the version we're using, but it would be helpful to have more search options for internal candidates, like excluding roles that have already been applied to.

I think it's very user friendly and offers useful insights plus I really like the solid reporting feature.

Cons

Pretty expensive compared to similar products. It might work better for bigger companies (those with over 200 employees).

Love being able to track and manage any new hires with ease. The software is really simple to use and the features are easy to understand. Some elements are pretty new but they're nice additions.

Cons

Haven't run into many issues so far but it does lag sometimes. That's really my only complaint.

I would say the job dashboard is very well-organized. It offers plenty of features and you can add other tools. The reporting options are also very effective.

The resume search feature isn't very effective and the mobile site is a bit hard to use.

iCIMS works fine with many other recruitment tools but keep in mind that there are additional costs.

Compared to other applicant tracking systems, they seem to be behind in terms of industry-standard features. Any extra features you need will cost you and those expenses can really add up. Other systems have these features included. Plus, you have little control over settings which means you need to submit a ticket for even minor changes and that can get annoying after a while.

It is easily accessible and layout is pretty simple. I find it user-friendly.

I'm not happy about 'Old iCIMS' being discontinued. I preferred the older version.

Creating a profile to save your info and check your application status was so easy for me. I didn't need to re-enter everything multiple times.

I didn't take full advantage of all the features available so I can't comment too much on those.

The search functionalities, integration of email and text messages, and efficient management of candidate progress (from application to offer/reject) are noteworthy.

There's a limitation on the number of attachments for candidate applications/profiles (couldn't add more than 3 documents). In the candidate status section, theres no confirmation, so once you click on a status (like phone screen or interview), it automatically changes. The interface is clunky.

To make the most of the system, you really need to have a good understanding of how it works. Having an iCIMS admin on staff is almost a necessity.
