Lattice is simple to pick up and comes packed with useful features for our team. Finding what you need is also hassle-free thanks to the homepage and the navigation menu on the left.

Cons

The overall layout of the tool is great. My only issue is remembering how to create goals correctly. There is a section for SMART goals and another for Grow goals, which are meant for personal objectives. But I keep accidentally using the SMART section, even though it feels better suited for bigger team or company targets. So a little more guidance there would be helpful.

Being able to customize question templates and review cycles has been a huge advantage. We have also valued the flexibility to adjust permission settings. The layout is user friendly and easy to navigate too and the new AI tools for drafting reviews and answering search queries save us a lot of time.

Our team connects Lattice to Rippling but there are a few restrictions when syncing custom demographic fields between them. Another drawback is the lack of automatic reminders for reviews that are done manually, which can sometimes cause delays.

I like the option to give and receive feedback. Plus setting up regular check-ins with my team and having a record of our past conversations is really helpful.

The suggested talking points often do not sound like how people actually speak. It also does not seem to connect to my calendar smoothly and if a meeting time changes, the whole entry sometimes vanishes though that might be my own mistake.

Tracking one on ones is great as it gives me and my team a shared space to jot down ideas or topics to discuss next time we meet.

When we have to reschedule a one on one meeting, the system does not update automatically. This causes notifications to be sent out for the old, incorrect time. Also I wish the options for sending weekly updates were a bit more flexible.

It helps me monitor my goals with clear metrics. I can share them with my manager, who can always see how I am progressing. That makes goals feel less intimidating and more achievable. You can also set deadlines and add details.

A feature that would be really helpful is the ability to work on a goal with another person. Maybe that option already exists and I just have not found it yet.

What I like best about Lattice is how the website is laid out. It is clean, easy to read and simple to navigate. I use it for my one on ones and check-ins and the suggested discussion questions are really helpful for guiding conversations.

Cons

The only thing that bothers me is setting up meetings. Being so familiar with Microsoft Outlook's calendar, it is confusing when I cannot properly link a meeting from Outlook over to it. It is a small thing but it would feel much smoother if they synced better.

It makes engaging with my manager much smoother. I can organize and manage my tasks more effectively. The pricing is fair and it is useful for tracking my professional growth.

Figuring out the platform and what it is capable of can be challenging. And unfortunately the support team has not been very helpful to us in clearing things up.

Lattice helps me keep everything related to my job organized in one place. Plus it stores all the feedback I have given or received, notes from my weekly check-ins, task lists, annual reviews and more.

I feel like the product could be more user-friendly and easier to apply but the main problem is the interface makes its purpose and functionality confusing.

I like how structured and simple peer and self-reviews are in the system. We can also ask teammates for feedback anytime during the year which helps strengthen our working relationships. There is also a bi-weekly form where we share how we are feeling and what we are focusing on, so our manager knows when to check in.

Cons

One downside is that syncing our Lattice calendar with our teams calendar is not easy. This leads to problems because when I have a 1:1 coming up, it often does not create a calendar appointment so I sometimes miss these meetings with my manager.

Its module feels very rigid and based on a template. It gives the impression to me that there is not much creative thought behind its design.

I really love that our Praise feature is built right into Lattice as it lets me give colleagues positive feedback that is shared with HR and recognized across the entire company. Also it is a great way to keep everyone motivated and appreciated.
