The interface has this really friendly, social media vibe that users seem to love. Reporting capabilities are powerful and you can customize pretty much everything to fit your needs.
Cons
I can't upload individual documents to employee files which is frustrating when I need to add supervisor notes or other important paperwork. There's also no way to mark employees as "inactive" without going through the full termination process and this makes managing seasonal workers who come back regularly really inconvenient. It doesn't remind me when someone's work authorization is about to expire either. The I-9 process isn't automated enough and sometimes makes mistakes like when it recognized a foreign passport as a Us one.

I find this program really user friendly and the benefits management along with the Time Off functionality are standout features for me.
Cons
When benefit updates happen like address changes or other info that needs to go to our providers. I've noticed it doesn't automatically sync from the system to Oxford, MetLife, Lincoln Life or MetLife COBRa most of the time. This creates extra manual work to ensure everything stays current.

Namely is really user-friendly even for those of us who aren't in HR. It's been incredibly helpful throughout our entire payroll process. One feature I particularly appreciate is the birthday and work anniversary notifications which adds a nice personal touch. Seeing the new employee list is also useful for keeping track of external platform tasks. Navigation is easy which saves time when onboarding new staff especially when they're joining the HR team.
Cons
The custom reporting features are pretty disappointing - we've tried working with their reps multiple times but the reports still come out wrong. The PPP reports were completely broken and we're constantly dealing with state unemployment and tax filing issues. Sometimes they dont file at all or do it incorrectly. While there's a decent selection of reports available, many either don't function properly or have serious limitations. We had a GL report customized back in 2015 but after a system update it got completely messed up and they still haven't fixed it despite several detailed meetings with their tech team. It's really frustrating having to spend extra time reformatting everything after pulling reports especially since we actually paid for the custom reporting feature.
