Pros

I'm really happy with how this platform keeps getting better. The team actually listens to our feedback and implements changes that make our daily work much smoother.

Cons

Haven't found anything to complain about yet, customer service is always available when we need them.

good for staff, bad for administrators

Pros

The interface works fine from where I sit as an employee though I suspect most positive feedback comes from users like me rather than admins who handle payroll and benefits that's where the real challenges seem to be.

Cons

From a Finance and HR standpoint using this for payroll and benefits admin, it's really not great. We've run into tons of issues with functionality and honestly it creates more work than it saves. Sure, no product is perfect but what makes this worse is there customer service is terrible. That's a huge red flag when your dealing with payroll stuff. They also won't let you remove the auto-renew clause from contracts, which we normally do for everything we sign, feels like they know people would leave if they could. Major pain points: Everything's manual really wish there was upload functionality for commuter benefits or commission uploads, The Netsuite integration barely pushes any data, just employee name, start/end dates (no department or class info), Change history is messy, if someone moves departments, all there historical data moves too, Customer support is lacking, The site navigation is awful even simple stuff like selecting check payment is hard to find, If your the admin handling this for HR or Finance, prepare for frustration.

powerful but priced high

Pros

It handles all our HR functions really well especially payroll management. I find the interface incredibly user-friendly and simple. Tax calculations are surprisingly simple to work with.

Cons

The pricing is high and there are some small gaps like having to manually enter timesheet data which can be tedious.

major enrollment errors and tax filing delays

Pros

My first impression of the interface was very positive. I was immediately drawn to its clean design and the initial setup was a smooth, hassle-free experience. Even now I still think it looks great. However beyond its attractive appearance I'm afraid I don't have many other positive things to say.

Cons

Our main headache was with benefits administration - their demo team made it sound like enrollment happened automatically but really it meant we'd submit stuff electronically and hope someone eventually got around to processing it with our carriers. That rarely happened though. In the year we used this platform, we onboarded about 30 new hires and nearly every single one had serious enrollment problems. They either never got enrolled in the benefits they picked or ended up in completely wrong plans. I tried being patient for the first few issues but after 6 more failures it was clear we couldn't stay. We even paid extra for their "managed services" that was supposed to give us better HR support but we didn't even get basic service. Had employees show up at doctors thinking they had coverage only to discover they were never entered in the system. Multiple meetings where they promised to audit everything and fix it for good but even with a week left on our contract I found another botched enrollment. They also consistently missed filing our state payroll returns on time. Despite giving them all the tax IDs and UI info for new states, they wouldn't update their records and failed to file several returns. One case took us 5 separate attempts to resolve (started Q3 2018, finally fixed May 2019). They showed zero initiative in figuring out why their system kept failing, then had the nerve to ask for extra fees to file the corrected forms. Don't pay those fees if you get stuck in this mess.

poor HRIs-payroll sync with inflexible benefits and tax filing issues

Pros

It's so easy to find your way around, everything is right where you'd expect it.

Cons

The HRIs and payroll systems don't sync well together which creates major headaches. The technology has some fundamental flaws that make it really inflexible like employer-paid medical benefits can't be based on a percentage of total premiums in the onboarding module so open enrollment becomes a manual nightmare. Same issue with employer-paid insurance coverage since it only works with salary, not total compensation. We've had tons of problems with Hsa and Fsa account feeds, plus issues with feeds to there preferred workers comp provider. Honestly feels like this was built by people who didnt have much experience with HRIs and payroll systems. On the payroll side, we've dealt with multiple tax withholding and filing problems for certain jurisdictions seems like their tax department isn't very knowledgeable about some areas, and we're in one of the biggest cities in the country. Service response times are terrible and you'll get three different answers if you talk to three different people about the same problem.

surprisingly simple for complex work

Pros

Namely is impressively user-friendly. Even though I have to handle complex data, the navigation is so easy that it never feels difficult or confusing.

Cons

The interface feels pretty dated and could really use a modern refresh.

Instant requests, perfect performance

Pros

I can submit my time-off requests instantly which is very convenient and saves me from having to track down managers or fill out paper forms.

Cons

I haven't found anything to complain about so far, everything's been working well for me!

powerful reports, painfully slow support

Pros

The reporting section is fantastic and there's tons of different data you can extract and pulling whatever information I need is really easy.

Cons

The customer support response time is really frustrating and it usually takes weeks just to get an answer to a simple question. I end up having to send multiple follow-up emails asking for updates on my original issue, which shouldn't be necessary.

Clean interface, divided systems

Pros

The interface is clean and pretty user friendly. I really appreciate how the reporting and analytics can be customized without much trouble.

Cons

The payroll and HRIs systems being on separate platforms is frustrating. Generating reports for payroll isnt nearly as simple as it is with HRIs.

flawless time off management

Pros

It's very simple to request time off and check what holidays the company observes. The PTO submission process is smooth and user-friendly.

Cons

Nothing really stands out as problematic, they're doing a solid job overall and should keep it up.

flexible profiles, weak reports

Pros

I really appreciate having so many custom fields available for tracking various employee profile details and it makes organizing information much more flexible.

Cons

reporting features are pretty basic and don't give me much flexibility. Also tracking time off could use some work and it's not as organized as I'd like.

Clean look, weak reporting

Pros

Really clean and well-organized interface. Finding employee information is very simple and everything's easy to read at a glance.

Cons

The reporting feature is really hard to work with and doesnt cover all our requirements. Plus there's no way to display individual bonus structures for each person.

a familiar, centralized hub for HR

Pros

I can check my paystub directly on my phone through the mobile app which is really helpful.

Cons

as an employee I really enjoy using it though management mentioned they find the administrative side somewhat challenging to handle.

User-friendly but needs automation

Pros

layout is simple and user-friendly. All the features are clearly labeled and simple to locate.

Cons

The calendar formatting could use some work to make it more readable and I'd love if the timesheet card would auto-populate instead of having to fill it out manually each time.

Easy pTO tracking but org charts lack depth

Pros

after getting familiar with the system, using it very easy. I really appreciate how it tracks PTO and manages employee requests efficiently.

Cons

The org chart profiles could use more details to help you really get to know people and understand what they bring to the table.

The interface feels really natural to use and I didn't need any training to figure out where everything is located.

social media-style interface, cluttered notifications

Pros

appreciate how the interface resembles social media platforms and it feels familiar and intuitive to navigate. Having everything centralized in one portal makes managing HR tasks so much simpler. The time off calendar is particularly useful since I can easily submit requests and check when my colleagues will be away.

Cons

The notification system really gets on my nerves and my feed gets completely overwhelmed with birthday alerts and work anniversary posts which ends up burying the stuff I actually need to see like departures or major company milestones.

flawed foundation for HR needs

Pros

I really liked how this handled our 360 review process and it does a great job tracking PTO and employee anniversaries.

Cons

Payroll feature was terrible. I kept receiving overdue notices from various states since the system wasn't filing taxes correctly. It would prompt me to register for taxes in states where we didn't even need to file or for 1099 contractors. When issues came up customer service took weeks to get anything resolved.
