Pros
I liked that Namely provided a one-stop solution for all HR and payroll needs. The functions was not at all complex and the entire platform was intuitive.
Cons
The cost is a factor. As with anything, good service comes at a premium but at least we are getting what we pay for.

Pros
It is quite simple to use this software, and personally, I just find the name of the software ‘Namely’ very cute. For a truly integrated experience, I strongly advise using HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits features. It has undoubtedly made it possible for our tiny People Ops team to support the rapid expansion of our business. For our personnel, the user interface is excellent. Namely is continuously making updates, which indicates that they are trying to tailor their features according to the demands of their clients. This software has been making a name alongside some pretty big names.
Cons
Namely emphasizes "self-service," which can be fantastic if you have technical knowledge but if you are someone who is new to the software, then this can be an issue for you. Payroll has significant problems as well, since it frequently presents tax & regulatory issues. When we have complex payroll questions, it can be challenging to reach the right person. You can reach their customer support for most of the issues but some issues remain unresolved. These are only a few drawbacks, other than this, it has been a great journey with this software.

“fantastic support but problematic setup
Pros
The customer support here is absolutely fantastic. They respond quickly and genuinely care about resolving whatever problems you're having.
Cons
setting it up was a real pain and took way more work from our team than expected. There aren't enough integrations available which makes connecting it to our other systems frustrating.

“Comprehensive but challenging integration
Pros
Love how comprehensive the analytics page is, gives me all the insights I need. Setting up workflows and handling self-service requests couldn't be simpler. The home page does a fantastic job keeping employees engaged and connected. It's excellent at maintaining historical records which has been invaluable for our operations.
Cons
Task lists could really use some work and better automation. Getting it to play nice with our other systems has been a challenge. I'd love to see more esign features added down the line. Also if youre not in the Us, good luck getting decent customer support.

Pros
Everything I needed as an employee was right there ,HR stuff, payroll info, PTO tracking all worked smoothly. Other platforms I've used feel more basic in comparison.
Cons
UI feels overwhelming when you're just an employee who needs to access a few basic things. Would be great if they designed different views based on your role like a simplified employee dashboard versus a full manager interface.

“Great layout but manual payroll work
Pros
The main HRIs page layout works really well for me and I appreciate how it connects all our employees across 10 different locations. Navigation feels ieasy for both staff and admins, plus I can usually find what I need in multiple places which is convenient.
Cons
The time and payroll features dont integrate well with our HRIs system which means I'm constantly doing manual workarounds. Every payroll week, I have to run a separate report just to enter employee mileage data by hand and it's pretty tedious. Since we operate multiple locations with different job codes, I really wish the general ledger functionality was more robust for QuickBooks uploads. More integrated functions would make my life much easier.

What I appreciate most is how comprehensive this HRIs platform is. You get reporting, integrated payroll, onboarding, performance reviews and compliance all in one place. Finding an affordable HR system that's truly integrated like this isn't easy. The ticketing system is really responsive too, whenever issues come up, I get quick help.
Cons
performance review system feels very bulky and could definitely be more flexible when you're trying to build it from a client's side. I'd also love better reporting on performance management like seeing who hasn't finished certain phases of the review process. The integration with other systems needs some work too.

I am really impressed by how they keep making improvements and actually listen to feedback. When we share our thoughts, they give us realistic timelines for what's coming next which I appreciate.
Cons
The reporting capabilities are very limited right now. We're going through a sOC-2 audit and needed to pull some specific reports but they just aren't available yet. I know it's on their development roadmap so hopefully we'll see improvements soon but it's definitely a gap for us at the moment.

The interface design is spot-on and makes everything simple. Finding employee details and moving around the system is incredibly easy. We rely on this for both HR management and payroll processing and it's basically become our central hub for everything.
Cons
Finding answers through the help search can be very awkward and often takes some trial and error to locate what your looking for though the support team is really helpful when you reach out to them.

The app is pretty user friendly and I find the reports really easy to customize and work with.
Cons
Lack of instant chat support is frustrating when you need help right away instead you're stuck submitting tickets and waiting. Response times vary wildly depending on which department handles your issue, sometimes it's resolved in minutes or hours but other times you're waiting days because they struggle to understand what's actually wrong.

Interface is really interactive and I can find what I need without any issue.
Cons
Response time for tax-related questions can be frustratingly slow and I wish there were more frequent updates on progress. Even though they mention pandemic-related delays, I'd appreciate at least weekly check-ins letting me know they're still working on my issue even if there's no resolution yet.

Interface is user friendly for HR management. Customer support has really improved because when we first started it was pretty awful but now they're genuinely helpful. Way more user-friendly compared to ADP.
Cons
Running bonus payrolls and handling tax season stuff has been a real headache for us.

The interface feels really friendly and never overwhelming to use. Managing HR tasks is easy despite how comprehensive the system is, and our team can quickly locate whatever they're looking for. I appreciate how the newsfeed lets us share company updates while keeping engagement completely optional plus the mobile app comes in handy. The company directory works great for staying connected with colleagues. Payroll runs smoothly with tons of reporting options to verify everything twice. Customer support has been quick to respond and genuinely helpful and sometimes even enjoyable to work with.
Cons
timekeeping features feel a bit too complex for what we actually need and there's way more functionality than necessary. While the permissions system is really comprehensive, it also means you have to be pretty careful about setting everything up just right or things can get messy.
