What I appreciate most is how versatile this platform is. We use it for both hiring and employee management which works perfectly for our needs. Our interview panels change frequently and this tool makes it super easy to give them access to all applicants for different positions. You can turn access on and off without any difficulty. I love that it stores employee evaluations in one central location where staff can access and review them anytime. You can also see exactly where someone is in any process, which is incredibly helpful. The reporting features are solid too and you can generate detailed reports on employees and even get improvement plans for areas that need work. Recently used it for evaluations and it made everything so simple. The forms are already built into the system so you just fill them out. Employees can sign off digitally and you can create goals and action plans to help them succeed.
Cons
Right now I haven't come across anything I really dislike about it.

Pros
Makes recruiting faculty and staff much simpler and setting up interviews is not difficult either. Really helps keep all our data well-organized plus accessing large amounts of information is effortless.
Cons
The interface looks pretty outdated and could use a modern refresh. Would be great if there was built-in video interviewing functionality instead of having to use external tools.

I like how easy this system is to use. It's been fantastic for tracking applicants and I especially like being able to tailor the supplemental questions for each job posting. This feature lets me create scoring systems that filter for basic requirements while giving extra points for preferred qualifications. The multi-step exam setup helps document our entire hiring process thoroughly. Plus the report builder is outstanding and I can pull exactly the data I need for custom reports.
Cons
Managing notifications is frustrating since you need separate setups for Insight and OHC sections. I constantly find myself needing a notification that's only configured in one area, forcing me to go back and recreate it elsewhere. Would be much simpler if all notifications were accessible from any section.

I like how well this system handles HR requisitions, hiring processes and getting new employees onboarded. It's clearly built with government organizations in mind which works perfectly for us. One thing I find particularly useful is that when we're recruiting nationally, many candidates are already familiar with the platform since it's so widely used in the public sector which makes the application process smoother for everyone involved.
Cons
The interface feels a bit clunky and is not the most friendly. They did roll out an update recently that made things better but there's still room for improvement on the user experience front.

This platform lets me customize application processes with position-specific questions. It's very useful for our municipal hiring needs. The candidate search feature is brilliant since I can quickly check if someone has applied before and see their history with us. What I find most valuable is the automatic notification system that handles rejecting candidates, which saves time on every job posting. The software has multiple tools that make tracking applicants for government positions much more simpler than our old process.
Cons
It's difficult having to constantly go into NeoGov to send applications to our SMEs. Would be much better if I could set it up once so all applications automatically go to the Subject Matter Experts instead of doing this manually every day. Moving between different folders feels sluggish and the search functionality could use more logic. Often when I click on a job title, it doesn't take me where I actually need to go and I end up clicking around trying to find the right spot and getting lost in the process.

It is well-recognized in the field and I notice most surrounding cities use it too. Compared to other options I've seen, it's definitely the most thorough especially for applicants. From my professional perspective, the applicant tracking feature really stands out. It stores everything in an easy-to-locate format once your familiar with how the system works.
Cons
A bit difficult to understand when you're first getting started and honestly it's not the most user-friendly system out there. What really throws me off is how there are multiple ways to reach the same function and it gets confusing trying to remember which path is best. The interface looks dated compared to what I'm used to with other platforms, could definitely use a visual refresh. Price-wise it's on the expensive side when you compare it to similar options in the market.
