“amazing customer support, good value for money
Pros
You get so much value for the price and their customer support is absolutely amazing! The tutorials are clear, simple to follow and really help you understand how everything works.
Cons
Can be a bit tricky to understand at first but they make it really easy to find answers. You might need to spend some time figuring things out initially but once you do, it's much easier.

“Helpful onboarding specialist and reasonable pricing
Pros
I work with agricultural clients and I think the pricing is very reasonable. The onboarding specialist was super helpful and always available to answer any questions. Having direct access to them turned out to be way more useful than I thought it would be.

The requirement to manually enter data really made my transition timeline tight but in the end it all worked out well.

“provides me with much needed flexibility
Pros
After checking out different payroll services, I went with OnPay. The deciding factor was definitely the value. My payroll isn't always consistent since I'm running a small business so I appreciated the flexibility to have unlimited payroll and states. The response time was also really quick and I loved how easy the platform made the onboarding process.
Cons
I really don't like that there's no way to suspend the account during the months when I don't need it. It would be great if that option existed.

Pros
The interface is really clear and it's easy to get the hang of. Payroll automation works smoothly and the support team is quick and always available to help out when needed.
Cons

Pros
What I love most is how convenient it is to use. If anyone's hesitant about using an online payroll system, I'd definitely recommend this one. It's incredibly easy to get around in.

Pros
Even though I don't have much experience with payroll, stepping in when our bookkeeper wasn't around was super easy. The interface is tidy and setting up direct deposit was straightforward. I love that employees can set up their own login and access their paystubs and W-2 forms. Plus, they send reminders about running payroll early if there's a holiday which is really handy.
Cons
Honestly, I can't think of anything I really dislike. It's been a good experience. If I had to pick something, it would be nice to have the ability to change the layout of the W-2 to suit my needs better.

Really user-friendly interface that made getting started easy. The implementation process was surprisingly quick and simple which saved us a lot of time. I appreciate how they're constantly rolling out new features and improvements to keep things fresh.

Pros
What I really appreciate is how everything comes together smoothly in one place! It's tough to pick a favorite feature but the Performance module has been absolutely transformative for our team. Everyone's been raving about how interactive and user-friendly it is to use.

“And the award for best silent partner goes to...... OnPay!
Pros
For just $40 a month plus $6 per employee, OnPay offers an unbeatable deal with unlimited payroll runs, management of all employee pay types and fantastic HR resources which also includes a vast library. The intuitive self service portal is essential and easy to use. Self-generating reports and checklists simplify tax compliance. Plus customer service is readily available and accessible in numerous ways and the employee portal is a great addition.
Cons

“OnPay made multiple tax errors and took months and months to respond
Pros
OnPay works well if you do not require much support. However, their support team is slow and sometimes make errors which cause challenges mainly if you are managing payroll for a small business and need some level of assistance.
Cons
The issue with OnPay is that they often misfile wage withholding with state governments, sometimes make calculation errors and occasionally file a day or two late. This results in fees, interest and time spent resolving the problems. The biggest issue was how long it took OnPay to respond. For example, I submitted a ticket OnPay responded after weeks. For another incident, they never responded at all. Additionally, OnPay did not honor the first month free offer they advertise.

“Onpay versus Paychex
Pros
In the beginning, I used Paychex for my small business payroll and tax needs for five years when I first started my PLC. It worked well enough, especially since my business is small and I didn't need much from the service. However, they increased their costs by 20% each year. After five years, I realized it was not worth continuing with them. I looked around and found OnPay. I have been using it for over eight years now without any issues. Its easy to use, important documents are always available online and adjustments are simple. I can handle 99% of what I need through their online portal. Whenever I have a question or need assistance, there is always a tech person available to chat with in real time. I have had no problems in eight years and both tax paperwork and direct deposits have been perfect.
Cons
If you need a lot of hand-holding for payroll and monthly deposits, you might want to use another service like Paychex, which assigns a person to help you. However, this comes at nearly ten times the cost for basic tasks that you can handle online with OnPay with minimal effort. An improvement would be for OnPay to send an email reminder to run payroll towards the end of the month.
