Cons

Pros
I work with agricultural clients and I think the pricing is very reasonable. The onboarding specialist was super helpful and always available to answer any questions. Having direct access to them turned out to be way more useful than I thought it would be.
Cons
The requirement to manually enter data really made my transition timeline tight but in the end it all worked out well.

“provides me with much needed flexibility”
Pros
After checking out different payroll services, I went with OnPay. The deciding factor was definitely the value. My payroll isn't always consistent since I'm running a small business so I appreciated the flexibility to have unlimited payroll and states. The response time was also really quick and I loved how easy the platform made the onboarding process.
Cons
I really don't like that there's no way to suspend the account during the months when I don't need it. It would be great if that option existed.

Pros
The interface is really clear and it's easy to get the hang of. Payroll automation works smoothly and the support team is quick and always available to help out when needed.
Cons
No downsides! I gave OnPay a try for payroll, and so far, it's been pretty smooth. I'm planning to dig deeper into it soon to see how it can help streamline my HR tasks.

Even though I don't have much experience with payroll, stepping in when our bookkeeper wasn't around was super easy. The interface is tidy and setting up direct deposit was straightforward. I love that employees can set up their own login and access their paystubs and W-2 forms. Plus, they send reminders about running payroll early if there's a holiday which is really handy.
Cons
Honestly, I can't think of anything I really dislike. It's been a good experience. If I had to pick something, it would be nice to have the ability to change the layout of the W-2 to suit my needs better.

What I really appreciate is how everything comes together smoothly in one place! It's tough to pick a favorite feature but the Performance module has been absolutely transformative for our team. Everyone's been raving about how interactive and user-friendly it is to use.
Cons
one thing that bothers me is there's no gross up or pay estimate calculator built into the system. It would be really helpful to have this feature so we could figure out gross-up pay for employees when we need to.

The automation features are fantastic, particularly for hiring. Not having to write the same emails repeatedly to prospective candidates is such a time-saver. I just use my custom templates instead. The onboarding packet for new hires has been incredibly useful as well!

The intuitive self service portal is essential and easy to use. Self-generating reports and checklists simplify tax compliance. Plus customer service is readily available and accessible in numerous ways and the employee portal is a great addition.
Cons
Extra costs for mailing documents - No discount for higher volumes - No mobile app for Android users - Tax alerts are difficult to resolve - Time off does not always sync properly throughout the system. In short too many problems

“OnPay made multiple tax errors and took months and months to respond”
Pros
OnPay works well if you do not require much support. However, their support team is slow and sometimes make errors which cause challenges mainly if you are managing payroll for a small business and need some level of assistance.
Cons
The issue with OnPay is that they often misfile wage withholding with state governments, sometimes make calculation errors and occasionally file a day or two late. This results in fees, interest and time spent resolving the problems. The biggest issue was how long it took OnPay to respond. For example, I submitted a ticket OnPay responded after weeks. For another incident, they never responded at all. Additionally, OnPay did not honor the first month free offer they advertise.
