Pros
OnPay software is easy to use and you can gauge employee interest because they manage the process themselves.
Cons
I do not like the mobile view as it does not show all the toolbars on the side unless I rotate my phone. I prefer seeing all the information at once.

Its very simple and impressive. The pricing seems fair and customer support is always helpful and responsive.
Cons

“well laid out interface
Pros
For me the interface really stands out. Everything's laid out perfectly with clear tabs on the sidebar so I can find what I need right away. Processing payroll through OnPay couldn't be simpler, just one click and it's done.
Cons
I ran into some problems getting the state taxes configured for my remote employee who works from a different state. The system kept sending me "Urgent" email alerts claiming my tax information was missing and warning about incorrect withholdings but when I contacted support they told me everything looked correct on their end and it was probably just a glitch.

“Reasonable price and excellent reporting
Pros
The payroll features are really detailed yet easy to handle. Support team is very professional. Reports are excellent and give me exactly what I need. Plus the pricing is very reasonable for what you get.
Cons
sometimes it takes a while to get answers when I have questions which can be frustrating when I need help quickly.

Coming from square Payroll was like escAPIng a two-month nightmare. This platform imported everything perfectly and had us set up with a walkthrough call the next day. The support team is very responsive through chat, email, phone or video and they're refreshingly honest when they need to research something before getting back to you. I'm blown away by the reporting capabilities and the built-in HR features that actually work well. Everything can be customized to fit your needs plus the QuickBooks Desktop integration through IIF files is a game-changer. After each payroll run, I just download the file and everything syncs perfectly. As a bookkeeper who's dealt with multiple payroll services across different companies, this one stands out as my absolute favorite and I recommend it without hesitation.
Cons
It's tough to find faults since there really isn't much I dislike. The only thing that comes to mind is wishing I could void just one employee's check after running payroll. I accidentally entered the wrong hours for one person out of 40+ employees (they texted me a correction right after the deadline). Had to void the entire run to fix it which meant re-entering all employee hours from scratch.

It is very simple to use. Whenever I need help, support is readily available and easy to reach. The team is friendly and maintains a professional approach. Coming from Paychex, I've found this platform far superior in both customer service quality and overall usability.
Cons
Nothing to complain about so far. Been using this for around 6 months and honestly can't think of anything thATs missing or bothering me. The experience has been pretty great from day one.

I find this platform very convenient. It includes all the essential features needed for smooth business operations. Their support team responds to inquiries quickly which I really appreciate. Honestly I can't imagine switching to another provider at this point.
Cons

Chat support is brilliant. Whenever I run into issues with payroll processing or need help setting up new deductions, I just hop on chat and get answers right away once I'm in the queue.
Cons
The employee interface could definitely be more user-friendly. While workers do get email notifications about payments and can handle their own deductions through self-service, the system isn't as simple as it could be. Same goes for the W-2 access. It's there but navigating to it isn't always clear.

“Great features at an excellent price
Pros
This software itself is absolutely the highlight. After switching from QuickBooks Enterprise payroll, I'm blown away by how user-friendly everything feels. The interface is clean and anyone can jump right in. For what I'm paying, the feature set is incredible and it's basically a complete employee management hub. Haven't tried the offer letters or onboarding features yet so can't comment there. Works perfectly for our team of 20. Everyone can handle their own info, pay stubs and time off requests through the platform. Support has been outstanding too. Every question gets answered within 30 minutes (usually way faster if you call). They're really helpful getting you up and running, even got a check-in call about 30 minutes after starting my trial. Having them file payroll taxes is going to be huge. Their system actually caught a tax calculation error we'd been making in QuickBooks which will save us on the next filing! I also set up the When I Work integration to pull timesheets automatically. Total game-changer with no more manually entering hours between separate systems.
Cons
The mobile website does the job but I'd really prefer having a dedicated app. I haven't dug too deep into the HR features yet but the customization options for forms and employee records feel pretty restricted. Also there are some smaller improvements I'd love to see.. Things like PTO forecasting, standard company deduction rates and better control over wage types for accounting reports.

The setup required me to handle some employee onboarding details myself like registering with out-of-state agencies for remote workers but OnPay provided decent support throughout the process. After getting everything configured, running monthly payroll became much easier to understand compared to the complicated experience I had with a major national provider years back.
Cons
The interface isn't the simplest especially for smaller operations like mine. With just myself and two employees, I don't spend much time in the system (which is actually a good thing!) but when I do log in, it feels like it could be more user-friendly. Maybe if I had a larger team and used it more frequently, the navigation would feel more natural.

Our new accountant recommended this program when we switched from our previous payroll system that was costing us double. We got everything set up in about an hour and it's been smooth sailing since that first run. When we added simple IRA accounts for corporate matching recently, I needed some help to make sure we were doing it right. Customer service answered all our questions and walked us through the process confidently, took maybe 15 minutes total. I'm really happy we have more control now and we've increased our savings by automating everything. Plus having a new CPA doesn't hurt either!

Pros
I recently started with this platform and it's been great. What really stands out is the customer service. They speak clear English, actually understand what you're asking and offer real guidance. The Quickbooks integration works flawlessly which is huge for us. Having tax filing and benefits all in one spot makes things so much simpler. During onboarding, the team was incredibly hands-on and patient with all my questions. The price point is unbeatable especially considering it includes HR functionality. Our employees love that even as a small company, we're staying current with automation and they can access their information whenever they need it.
