I chose this platform mainly because it promised to integrate with QuickBooks and our retirement accounts but unfortunately those connections don't actually work. That leaves me struggling to find much I genuinely appreciate about the service.

Beyond the broken integrations, I've dealt with endless payroll mistakes, having to rerun everything constantly plus all the fines and penalties that have hit our company. Back in 2021, we ended up paying roughly 10 times more in penalties because of their constant screw-ups and wrong data than what we actually paid them for payroll services. This whole organization is a complete mess and I really can't stress enough how much you should stay away from them.

Weekly payroll feature is so simple! Once I get through the initial setup, I just need to enter the hours each week and everything else happens automatically including pay calculations, direct deposits and even employer tax payments.

setting up the system was somewhat confusing at first though there's a helpful wizard and you can schedule virtual appointments with a personal agent. It took me multiple login sessions to finish everything but some of that delay was waiting for state revenue department documents which would probably happen with any payroll software.

No complaints. The transition from our last payroll system was not hard at all.

I really appreciate the ease of use it provides. Having all the IRs and state forms integrated into one system saves me so much time and they handle all the quarterly reporting automatically. The payroll processing flows smoothly without any headaches.

Finding specific information can be tricky at times and the search function could use some improvement.

I come from an operations and compliance background and I've seen how these tasks can overwhelm my coworkers. This platform eliminates all the uncertainty around payroll processing. The support team is always ready to guide and really goes out of their way to help.

The mobile website could really use some accessibility improvements. That left dashboard panel in blue doesn't respond properly making it harder to navigate when I'm on my phone. Desktop works fine though. While this hasn't been a major roadblock for our day-to-day work, it would be nice to see this fixed.

sometimes getting responses can take a bit longer than I'd like though the team is always thorough with their answers when they do get back to me.

setting up new hires is much less stressful thanks to the helpful documentation and simple features that make sure I don't miss anything important.

The wait time for entering data before processing payments feels too lengthy. I'd prefer if it was around 3 days instead of the current 4-5 day window.

The payroll process becomes so simple with this platform. The website feels easy to use and whenever I've had questions, their customer service team has been extremely helpful. I looked into some of the larger payroll companies my bank recommended but their pricing was way too expensive for my small business and their support staff couldn't even get my name right.

I can log my hours whenever it's convenient for me and the direct deposit option is really handy for getting paid quickly.

I wish they'd send an email notification when they're charging my account. You can find a report that shows this info if you dig around enough but it's not exactly convenient.

For payroll needs, this is perfect. The setup process was smooth with their help and using it day-to-day couldn't be simpler. We used to pay way more with a big national provider that made even minor changes a real headache and cost us significantly more. The customer service team has been fantastic to work with even when I'm not sure what I'm doing!

Cons

The browser window needs to stay pretty large or you'll lose the toolbar and other important stuff. Finding and creating reports could definitely be more simple. There are some UI quirks I'd change if I had my way but nothing too terrible.

The interface is tidy and really functional plus their technical support is solid. I can knock out payroll in under 15 minutes now and it's actually enjoyable. The integration with Deputy is smooth. We use that for timesheets and everything flows automatically without any manual data entry or exports like we had to do with our previous provider. Support has been quick to respond whenever we've had questions and the reps really know their stuff. The pricing is fair too. It's genuinely a pleasure to work with and I'd definitely recommend it to other small business owners who don't want to spend forever on payroll.

Finding information can be tricky sometimes since things aren't always where you'd expect them to be which means we end up contacting support more than we'd like. Some processes could definitely be more automated to save time. There was also a mistake on our tax filing though they fixed it quickly once our accountant caught it.
