Really appreciate how well they break down complex stuff for us since we don't have dedicated HR or accounting folks. They actually spotted some problems with our old payroll setup that we never would have caught ourselves.

Didn't discover any real downsides so far. Every question we've had gets answered thoroughly and clearly plus the pricing is excellent.

Their customer support here is genuinely impressive. When you call, an actual human picks up the phone. If they can't solve your issue right away, they'll connect you with someone who actually follows through and gets back to you quickly. Even though there's probably some automation behind the scenes, it never feels robotic or impersonal. You won't get those annoying service rating emails before they've even helped you. Getting started was smooth too, with our rep checking in regularly and keeping us updated on where things stood.

We haven't found anything to complain about yet. Would be great if they offered 2-day payroll without requiring a personal credit check though.

The pay schedule options are pretty limited. You can only pick specific dates like the 1st of the month but not something like the first Friday which would be way more useful for our payroll setup.

What impressed me most was how the support team and back office staff did all the heavy lifting with entering our year-to-date information.

Interface could be more friendly for new users and the alert system sometimes feels overly sensitive when flagging minor input variations.

Pros

I've been using this since January and haven't run into any problems. The pricing makes it a solid alternative to the larger payroll companies out there. Setting up my 401k and medical deductions was easy. I could do everything right through the portal. It even calculates the company 401k match automatically which saves me time.

Cons

setting it up took some effort initially and I really wish there was more flexibility with paycheck dates. Having to choose a preset schedule instead of picking specific dates for each pay period is pretty limiting.

setting up was so convenient and running our bi-weekly payroll couldn't be simpler. Having them handle all the tax calculations and payments saves us so much time, no more worrying about getting it wrong! The reporting features are simple and the website is really user-friendly.

Cons

setting up HR templates and files takes more time than I'd prefer and can be pretty tricky. It would be amazing if there were preloaded HR templates that could just be stored directly in employee files.

I really appreciate how well they get what small businesses need for payroll. Getting started was not complicated. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding! We came from a big payroll company that had way too many different apps and websites and it was just overwhelming and confusing. Their support was terrible, probably because we only have 3 employees and weren't a priority. The customer service here is genuinely amazing and makes such a difference.

Transition team was incredible at migrating our legacy payroll data and getting everyone set up with their year-to-date information including garnishments. Our test payroll run matched our manual calculations almost perfectly, only had a small discrepancy with Montana state Withholding that turned out to be our original error. The whole process felt easy and well-organized. Support was always available via email or phone whenever we needed help during the migration.

I haven't found anything major to complain about yet. The CsV upload interface could use some cleaning up. It's a bit clunky but gets the job done.

Impressed with how this fits our tiny 2-person business perfectly. We needed something efficient without breaking the bank and while most other services lump everyone into expensive 1-12 employee packages with extra fees for direct deposit, this keeps things simple and affordable without charging us a fortune.
