Pros
Found it to be user-friendly. Getting into the system happens quickly without any hassle. Processing payroll has become much more organized compared to what we used before.
Cons
The system doesn't track time off at all. Updates are really slow and I keep running into payroll errors whenever I try to update a check.

Pros
Managing payroll across multiple states used to be a nightmare for our virtual company but this tool handles all the different state requirements so well. I really appreciate how flexible it is with bonuses, 401k contributions and when employees change their hours, everything adjusts automatically without me having to worry about compliance issues.
Cons
I wouldn't say I dislike anything specifically but when I'm under pressure and need help quickly, reaching my rep can be tough. Really wish there was round-the-clock support, especially during month-end crunches.

I find the QuickBooks Online integration very smooth and mapping the General Ledger is easy. The reporting system gives me all the data I need at a glance. From what I've seen, this beats other payroll solutions when it comes to report quality and having actual people available for support.
Cons
The manual journal data transfer process is pretty frustrating, if you need to send historical entries after setting up the General Ledger, you're stuck doing them one by one. When I tried sending multiple entries at once, they all got lumped together under the same date. A Paychex rep confirmed this is just how the system works right now, though she couldn't explain why there's no batch option for historical data.

“Our worst experience ever”

Finding anything positive to highlight has been very challenging with this platform and the overall experience across all touchpoints has been disappointing.
Cons
Billing has been completely wrong throughout our entire time with them, not a single accurate invoice. Getting support is absolutely miserable and requires constant follow-ups just to get someone to respond. When they do reply, actually resolving anything feels like winning the lottery, which we've basically given up on. These ongoing issues have seriously impacted our employees who can't access their benefits and pay information properly. We even had to get our company President involved just to receive basic responses. The transition away from this provider has somehow been even worse than using them as we're stuck in a data nightmare that was supposed to be "seamlessly transferred" to our new vendor. Our CEO and Managing Partner are now spending 30-60 minutes daily dealing with this mess and it's been going on for months. I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid any of their services or related offerings.

I appreciate how smoothly data imports work and the extensive filtering and reporting options.
Cons
The home job change feature needs work, with certain access levels, you can't retroactively update someone's home job as an admin. To make retroactive changes, we have to send data to our Paychex rep and wait for them to handle it. When downloading payroll reports, they show the current home job even if that person wasn't in that role during the actual pay period. Plus, if a home job gets changed retroactively, you have to manually update their time card since it doesn't happen automatically.

Found it user friendly and the dashboard puts all my frequently used features right at my fingertips. Clocking in and out couldn't be simpler. Requesting time off has become much more simpler than before.
Cons
Sometimes it runs a bit slow and when I try clicking one button it ends up selecting a different one instead.

I like being able to access all my modules and platforms through a single login. It's a real time-saver compared to juggling multiple websites. The Time and Attendance feature is also great since it automatically tracks employee accrued time off, eliminating the need for manual calculations by my team.
Cons
The analytics and reporting section can be confusing at first, it took me a while to figure out which reports would actually give me the data I needed and I often had to create multiple reports just to get the specific information our company was after.

The tool handles all the tax payments and paperwork filing and it's practically hands-off for me.
Cons
Customer service has really declined over the past few years. Most of my requests go unanswered and while issues usually get resolved eventually, there's zero accountability when they don't. They're also completely unhelpful with anything out of the ordinary. When I needed to modify our form 941 for ERC money this year, they had no clue how to handle changes to their automated forms. I ended up just sending them a spreadsheet and crossing my fingers.

“Unfair price hikes and absent support”

The salesperson was really helpful and knew exactly what they were talking about. However once I signed the contract, I never heard from her again and had to deal with terrible customer service reps instead.
Cons
I dealt with incorrect overcharges and price hikes despite having a contract in place. Getting responses to my calls and emails was nearly impossible. When I did complain about the billing errors, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful. It took way too much effort to get refunded for charges that shouldn't have been there in the first place. Back in 2018, their website for payroll entry and report generation was clunky and hard to navigate.
